Sony did own Aiwa. I sold so many Walkmans I was taken on an all expenses paid trip to the far east and was taken round the factory. They used Aiwa as the development company for testing new products.
This is so refreshing. Just remind me about truly 100% Made in Japan product and i used to bought and own 2 aiwa stereo cassete player and 1 sony walkman when i was a teenagerin mid 90's. What a nostalgic moment tbh as Sony modern hi-resolution digital audio, LDAC or aptx HD, DTS sound bluetooth or something like that or audio with wifi connectivity has been adapted from this 80's to 90's devices but cost more than triple of these stereo cassete players, walkmna or discman. what a nostalgic!
Two of my fave personal cassette players I had from Aiwa was the HS-G08, and a HS-PL55 (I think), it was ultra slim, small, light, and packed with features... Aiwa certainly knew how to make walkmans.... 👌 😎🇬🇧
I still have my Aiwa HS JX50 from when I was a teenager but the battery is dead. Hopefully it's still working I stored it with the rechargeable gumstick battery inside. :(
I had the Aiwa at 2:16 in college. One of my favorite pieces of tech ever. Rechargeable NiMH battery which switchable to AAA. Well built, sounded great and supported stereo recording that I used for recording classes.
My first Walkman as a kid was a Sony and was amazingly well built. My second was an AIWA where one of the buttons broke off just out of Warranty, just from light use. AIWA support gave me the middle finger so I never touched anything with an AIWA badge on since. I miss my Sony Walkman lol.
That Sony CHF tape.. Great memory. Days when I didn't have money it was the cheapest tape to use for recording off the radio. Junk but barely tolerable
Muy buenos esos modelos, los japones hicieron muchos modelos de walkman, yo tengo algunos modelos, pero son difíciles de reparar la faja que va al motor es muy complicada de conseguir

Wow Nostalgic & I love this, super cool!
Thanks. My brother had that Sony WM-FX39 in 1993. Good sound.
Earlier (1991) he used National RX-SA74, then he passed it to me and bought that Sony.
aiwa excelente
i have an aiwa hs-px101 and love it!

Ahhh I wish there was a comparison of playback sound. It would be amazing if you could make something like that. Impressive collection
My Aiwa in college at 2:15. Loved that machine.

Great systems!
What model is the one from 4:01?
나의 첫 워크맨 aiwa.
I love this times...thank you....are you single?😁khkhkh
AIWA better potable cassette players than Sony for same price.
Aiwa, the house of leaky caps. Not the price, the problem is longivity.
Fantastiko
AIWA = The research & development arm of Sony
👍👍👍
Name of the song?
Aiwa catered more towards the audiophile side compared to Sony with their HX heads and mechs. Sony however is a lot easier to repair.
Sony had their EX amorphous heads to boot.
O m g!!!
Who woulda think that your junk pile from the 90's would be worth thousands in 2020?
had them all including imported ones only available in Japan direct shipping to Indonesia

На видео мы можем видеть артефакты, древней, более развитой цивилизации.
AIWA tiene más belleza, por su acabado más metálico y elegante
Sony es más austero en su acabado plástico pero la marca tiene mucho peso
Panasonic was also compared to Sony
I wish if I could Auto-Reverse life!
Lol,, good ol walkmans! I do not really miss casette tapes,, or walkmans. I had so many of those damn things lol..
Sony Is The Best Of Anti Rolling Mechanism
