I have the FP-9D single direct drive model. LOVE it. I’ve been a die-hard Ludwig Speed King player for many years, and this is the first modern pedal I’ve tried that can be made to feel like a SK. I can give no higher praise. It feels like a Speed King that’s been updated to modern high tech aircraft grade specs.
Just got the 310 speed cobras.. sold them and went for the DKP9D totally much much more smoother build quality is also way up there. Probably my top consumer pedal Tama910speedcobras 2nd..
Just tried the direct drive at the drum shop against another 10 top end pedals….it was without a doubt faster and easier to play I’m buying one as soon as I sell my dw 5000
Aesthetically, they are based on Yamaha Motorbikes. I personally like that vibe, but the most important fact is if they perform according to the price tag.
Seem like really nice pedals. For about the same price as my current drum kit. :-) Maybe one day, I will splurge out on expensive pedals. For now, hello, Tama HP50 pedal!
I'm considering these but concerned about several reviewers have mentioned the cam potentially touching the bass drum head on some kits. This would seem to be a big design flaw. I emailed Yamaha support this week and they said they have no plans on any changes to the pedal. That's unfortunate.
They don't on my direct drive double pedal. Although my bass drum isn't angled significantly but it's still at an angle off the ground. No issues for me
These could be the double pedals im looking for, coming from a lefty player.. BTW, when will we be able to see you do Sleishmann double pedals? If im not mistaken, they are the OG double pedals!
This was not a review, no matter what their channel name says, it was just an infomercial. Sponsored content, or, whoring oneself out for a few bucks. Too bad.
Every time I see these pedals the beaters aren't aligned evenly. I'm guessing that's just that the people didn't adjust them evenly, but I don't understand why they wouldn't do that for a video. Is there some other reason why they're always not even?
They don't look like machined pedals. I'll have to investigate that to be certain. They look like cast pedals with a machined price tag.....like pearl's demon drive. Relative to what they are, they're probably OK pedals, but they shouldn't be priced so high.
Hi.i see.i said.a words on here.i am started looks for drums gadget, tools, and gears...cymbals.and pedals .great things , need to see, and touching...not just listening to the seller 's....they just want my moneys only .....every times , I visits, they are show me, they stupid heads.acting as animal's....not friendly to me....never mind ...

Bonham also used the squeak king :)
"As natural and smooth as any we've tried..."
That seems to be the general consensus all around sites! Im definitelty getting this!!! 🎉

Been playing the flying dragon since it came out. I tried this pedal last week and I’m sold and a hihat version just came out

FP9D double pedals are incredible!

I prefer the tama iron cobra 900 rg. Try the latest version if you haven’t, perfect weight/balance.
I have the double direct drive and love it even though I use aftermarket wooden beaters for it. Great value.
Same. Red
Is turning the tension to the right make it tight?
Excellent review. Well done. Cheers! 🎶

Review the Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple kit! There's so few vids on it.
They already did:

Great 😊 review these pedals look incredible
Spring tension.... clock wise tight???
Is that it? I thought you would demonstrate them a lot more.

didnt even mention the best part, you can adjust the spring with a click turn nob the faces up so you can see and reach it easily.
is the cam made of plastic or metal?
Is it longboard?
Its one of the biggest boards I have tried ! I have quite big feet and it was really comfortable for me
i payed $115 for 6 months. about 800 in total.

At least they give the legit drive shaft. Dyna sync is more than these with same drive shaft as cobra line.
