Although I've never read ACOTAR (i know, i know). I don't why but no matter how many times people promote those books they just never peak my interest. However, I love Ellen's videos so I'll literally watch anything she puts out. I literally admire how much work and effort goes into her videos, especially this one. It's so beautiful that she has a series that she loves so much. I hope everyone experiences that feeling at some point.
The Suriel is one of the most iconic characters in this series and a character that made me cry too 😭 The foreshadowing in these books is insane! Your reactions are everything 😂💗
FINALLY someone who enjoys Starlight 😭😭 People always say it’s “pointless” and I’m just like ITS A MOMENT OF HAPPINESS FOR ALL OF THEM CAN THEY NOT HAVE THIS😭
I can't wait until they finally release the TV series that's supposed to come! Gaaaaaaaaaaah! i wonder who will play Rhysand. Honestly, I'm not sure that any actor will ever live up to the vision I have of him in my head but, I'm still more than excited to see them try
I love you! Thank you for this video. As someone who loves fantasy and is absolutely intrigued by acotar, but also doesn't read stories with much spice, this video is a blessing!!
I literally JUST finished a re-read of the whole ACOTAR series about a month ago and you are making me want to start another re-read immediately! ACOWAR is my favorite book and I was just over here casually dying while you were reading it. I'm not usually one for reading vlogs, but this one is PERFECTION.
Girl- I LOVED this video! You can totally tell how much you live this series and it really shows why reading is so awesome! My favorite clip- 33:23- I too have had the book on the head moments. also- when you mentioned the whole nesta pointing her finger at the king of hybern- I immediately got an image of the old crone from princess bride and basically every witch ever in cartoons/movies- totally feeds into the nesta is a witch theories…. Hmmmmm 🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐
OMFG such a long video, so excited for it. even though I actually dont like this series XD I am currently on a watch all your old videos binge. and this made me stop and had to watch immediately.
I love your obsession with this series. I read it last year or the year before I think and enjoyed but so much of this I didn’t remember so love this video. The yearbook thing reminds me of what Twilight and the obsession was like for me and my friends when we were in high school. We would literally read in class when we were meant to be doing work and the obsession was real 😂
Honestly I’m rereading them for the first time (I read them in 2019!) at the minute because i saw you were doing this video on insta and I’m literally having the time of my life 🥰🥰 I forgot how iconic this series is and the squeal I squealed when Rhys appeared at calanmai 🤣🤣
I loved this video! It was like being at a sleepover! I wanted to tell you my thoughts as you were saying yours and even was agreeing and saying yes yes 😂😂😂😂 this was so entertaining, I recently finished the whole series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My thoughts are from the first book I was fishy about tamlin because why am I as a human fighting for you and you’re not fighting for me or even looking at me. I also thought he was sucking feyre’s life from the first book and it just got so much worse by the second book. ACOMAF ending and a war part one was my favorite feyre. Like she’s a baddie, she watched her dadas leg get crushed and went out hunting by herself, this is who she is not a housewife. I do ship elain and Lucien and agree with Lucien becoming high lord of the spring court especially with how Nesta described in in ACOSF. Lastly, I haven’t heard anyone talk about this but I thought it would’ve been such a plot twist if Mor and Eris were actually mates and he did all that to her so she wouldn’t be trapped. Anyway that’s my thoughts can’t wait for the next book. 🦇
I've only read the first 4 books, but I might read the last one now that I've heard you talk about it. I wanted it to be spoiled for me because I'm not the biggest fan of smut and I wanted to know how much there is. Maybe I'll skim read those scenes. I loved the video
my headcanon for as to why the switch flipped for tamlin so quick into ACOMAF was because feyre was so blinded by “love” in the first book and now that shes been UTM she’s more focused on her trauma and isnt able to wear rose coloured glasses when it comes to tamlin anymore (which she also talks about in ACOMAF as we all know). he was also focused on making her love him in ACOTAR and then once feyre broke the curse he thought everything would be fine and he could get back to being a high lord and doing high lord duties. he didn’t care much about trying to make feyre want to stay - he already had her. dont get me wrong hes definitely not ALL bad and was 100% affected by what happened UTM but yeah thats just how i took the switch up. especially knowing that rhys was planned to be the love interest from book one - its not like SJM just saw fans love him and switched up tamlin’s character. she fully knew what she was doing lol yk
I was the same where I was LOVING the romance between Tamlin and Feyre, but then I finally re-read the first book recently and was noticing all of the red flags. I was wondering what your opinion was on the fiddle because we all know you don't like musicians in books lol. You should watch Howl's Moving Castle if you haven't already. I was also one who did not get the riddle. I feel like Tamlin was this bad from the beginning, but when you first read the book you only know what Feyre knows in those moments. The reason why Tamlin fell in love with Feyre was in attempts to break the curse. What is interesting to me, though, is that even when Feyre says she loves Tamlin, the curse does not break. Who's to say Tamlin actually loved Feyre at all? Especially with how he acts around her. I think he simply hated Amarantha and Feyre was there, and then when she became one of the fae, Tamlin did nothing but stand by while she withered to nothing. Neither of them talked to one another about what they were going through. Was he, at that point, allying with Hybern because of the bargain Feyre had or because he knew of the upcoming conflict and wanted to be on, what he perceived as, the winning side? Yes, he saved Feyre in the camp, but that does not change how he seemed to see her as his property. I need someone to create Prythian in VR so I can go there. "It's kind of concernig... Anyway!" me too The way where I rolled my eyes when Feyre's dad comes in with ships named after his daughters.... I was like '.... ok, and?" The way I read "Rhys was dead" and proceeded to speed read the next section because I was in hardcore denial. I feel like the house was almost made into what it is in Silver Flames by Nesta. I am of the belief that Nesta forged the mating bond between her and Cassian, but I need to reread the book to be sure. 🦇
in the enclosure in my room i have a whites tree frog called pepino!! i also have a leopard gecko but he lives in a different room so no one has seen him!!
🦇 To be completely honest I really liked the first book, I gave it 3 stars! The second one for me was so bad😭 She character assassinated the two most interesting characters she ever wrote. And it basically felt like a fanfiction or her own book🤦🏼♀️

The way you react to Rhys just brings me so much joy. He is the best. "I'm feral, I need to contain myself"

i also cried with the suriel 😭
