really? ever heard of Boeing? Gm, Ford and countless other corporate grifters. Elon delivers on price.
In July 2024, about 5000 Cybertrucks were sold and delivered. This vastly outnumbered the 2800 Ford F-150 Lightning that was sold in July 2024. That 5000 number is so high, it nearly matched the total of all BEV pickups from all manufacturers in America (except Tesla of course). The future is electric. Legacy manufacturers like Ford is up against the wall. It takes years to create an entirely new model. Doesn't look like they can switch fast enough, what with the enormous costs they are carrying on the old plants, equipment, and workers.
Here's the bad news for Elon's fanatics. Year to date sale of F-150 Lightning is just under 16,000. For the Cybertruck, the number is 12,000. What happened here? Obviously, Tesla held up the deliveries (possibly because of the rust problem), and then sent them all out in July. The consensus is, the July numbers are not sustainable for the rest of the year.
The argument Musk made on his Twitter post is essentially:
_"I have a government contract, therefore the government should not be allowed to regulate my business."_
That argument is clearly absurd on its face.
Government contracts have compliance clauses.. if Musk doesn’t want to oblige, the contract should be terminated
Also, the government doesn't so much have faith in SpaceX as their only other option is Boeing.

@@My_HandleIs_I'd like to see the stats on that but Tesla market share on EVs has fallen over 10% in Q2 2024 to 49.7% from Q1. Hyundai, Kia & Ford market share are all increasing. Ford's EVs are way more practical than the CyberTruck.

Musk fears being alone so 23hrs locked up a day should be an appropriate punishment for his criminal activities.

There’s no way Tesla is a more valuable company than Toyota. I’ve traveled to many foreign countries and I’ve seen all kinds of Toyotas including models that we don’t see here in North America. Plus many varieties of mini vans, larger vans, different types of trucks etc. that aren’t even sold here. Toyotas are sold everywhere.
Tesla sales are plummeting in California where the democrats can’t get rid of their MAGA Mobiles fast enough. Tesla NEEDS California sales since that’s where most Teslas are sold. Everyone keeps talking about the robo taxi to justify the stock price. If you do the math, the robo taxi would have to replace nearly the entire auto market . This makes no sense since the premise of robo taxis is that there will be less cars sold since everyone will be riding in a robotaxi. Complete scam.

The Tesla fanboy maybe mixed up. The Cybertruck now roughly 1k-1.5K/week production is out selling the Ford lighting EV F150 truck. This is not a real milestone Ford is re-evaluating its EV position (as many other ICE brands), the dealers don't really want to promote EVs (no money yo be made on aftersales), price is high and EV trucks in general can't do the real truck work. The Cybertruck is more a 'Look at me' vehicle than a truck so as long as the production is limited there will be buyers.

Regarding the claims that Tesla is "saving the panet" I always remember the quote "EV's are not here to save the environment, they are here to save the automakers". Of course, that applies not just to Tesla but the other EV makers are not nearly as brazen in their claims as Musk.
Well EVs will overall improve how much we pollute and climate impact as we transfer how we produce our energy. Its already happening.
Then in cities locally the close proximity pollution is heavily improved, leading to much less respiratory and heart illnesses and generally much more pleasant environment to be in.
I don't think many is saying this it a Panacea, but it's a huge improvement in many ways.
Most actions are increment wise.
So I support EVs and public transport and sustainability city design etc.
That is all steps in the right direction.
@@michaelk.jensen1611 I agree that EVs can in part contribute to reduction of emissions generated by transportation. However, they are far from being the silver bullet as they are often pitched by the automakers. Without decreasing the overall car usage and prioritizing other modes of tranport (for both passangers and cargo) whenever it is possible and feasible only partial improvement can be achieved. Not to mention that CO2 and other emissions are not the only car related problem we are dealing with. There some other issues that won't be solved by simple switching to EV cars - like traffic congestions, car accidents, solid particles emissions, to name just a few.
A important thing to keep in mind; It is estimated that corporations are responsible for 80% of green house gases, so even if every person on earth, somehow reduced their carbon footprint to zero, we would still be fucked. Might buy us a decade or so, but in the long run, wouldn't change a damn thing.
Tesla sales for 2023, 1.8 million cars (and pretend trucks), Toyota 11.23 million. Forget catching Toyota, Tesla is not even in the same class as Hyundai. You gotta go all the way down the list and look below Suzuki in sales before you find Tesla.

I saw that Jeremy video. He sold a chunk of his Tesla shares but not all. He seemed more bearish on the company and critical of Elon than I've ever seen. I expected his comments section to get a lot of hate, but was pleasantly surprised to see others expressing the same frustrations and selling shares.

EVs bursting into flames in collisions will make people think twice. They are thinking twice. I've not seen too many examples of a Prius doing that, and lately, one clocked 93 mpg. I'll take safety over Musk's promises.

EV are not new. In fact they date back more than 100 years. The fact is that Tesla could not produce a combustion engine at a price that is competitive. All the other manufacturers have EV in stock and competition is growing fast. Teslas also faced a lot of quality issues. Elon is the only difference. He talks a lot, he promises a lot, and he exaggerates a lot.

As a car company, Tesla is grossly overvalued. But it's often categorized as a tech company. Even when considering both, it still disgustingly overvalued based on promises vs results. It seems like a house of cards waiting to fall. I just hope the stupid GOV don't try to bail them out when sh@t hits the fan.
