I think its fine for flight models to be tweaked to be more realistic, but I really don't like how Gaijin goes about doing it. Relying on bug reports for this stuff means that only certain aircraft will be held to these tighter more accurate standards, meanwhile plenty will continue to overperform. (Cough cough, F5 series) I also think that the way Gaijin creates flight models will pose an issue here. More often than not, tweaking one area of a flight model is like solving one side of a rubiks cube at the expense of mixing up the other sides. This over reliance on hitting set target points along an aircrafts flight envelope, and disregarding what happens between and/or outside these points of performance is why so many top tier flight models are not behaving as expected relative to eachother. In that sense I think its important to allow a margin of error for these target points if it allows for better balance, and a more accurate flight model in other areas.
I still can't believe they are listening to that jackass Rider2 lmao. Dude has outright said he has some weird vendetta against gaijins flightmodels(not overperforming ones, just PERIOD), but for some ungodly reason only picks the jets that were either not problematic or were direct competitors to F4s and F5s. Gaijin listening to any of them when he has been outed as gimping the results both by the community and himself is kinda fuckin depressing. But its gaijin, so have fun seeing f5s overperform for yet another patch while its competitors get nerfed.

It's sad to see the J35XS and Viggen getting nerfed, while I believe that FM should be more realistic, however I'm noticing a trend where vehicles except for the F5s are getting their FM adjusted despite multiple bug reports of the F5 having an over performing flight model and damage model. I wish that gaijin would be more consistent with their FM fixes, cause at this point, we are going to have another patch of F5s dominating. Also did not notice that you were in my match when playing the mirage F1C.

Thing is it *isnt* more realistic. The draken is already underperforming pretty heavily, this is just making it worse. Gaijn gutted its FM a while back, which made it unrealistic.
At this point, its not like the F-5 wasn't already dominating br brackets, but viggen and F-8 getting nerfed too? I mean....none of these changes make the game better. I don't care about irl stuff, just make the game authentic in its interpretation of the vehicles it represents. A reliance on documentation will only serve to worsen the game.

The j35 A is already a pain in AB / RB without flares and aim 9b . I like it very much in Sim because it's not that annoying , to have no flares. In AB it is already a thrown brick. With a turn rate of 10 km.

It's also 10.7 which is quite an unfavorable br, as it commonly is uptiered to 11.3 where nearly every plane that you commonly see has all aspect ir missiles or solid radar missiles (which once again you can't detect because no rwr).

Kfir also doesn’t have radar missiles and bleeds speed in single turn unlike J35XS. Kfir has only 2 missiles which is a joke for 10.7. The only thing Kfir has going for it is speed, that’s it. The only real downside of J35XS is 6 flare drops, that’s really bad but honestly I’d switch extra flares for 6 missiles on my Kfir. You can still dump 6 missiles and score decent amount of kills on 11.3 (that’s pretty much the real BR of 10.7 premiums, you won’t be playing your br much). Overall, 10.7 premiums are in a bad state due to constant uptiers.

General Lee many planes in this game don't actually compress, they just are castrated by the instructor. You can check out by flying in full real controls. I've managed to pull 10Gs at 700 Ias in the I225 without trim, and the j35xs pulls as hard as it did before, flying like when it was added. The Draken wasn't nerfed with high speed compression, it got added the instructor it lacked. Same applies for Mirage 2000, the instructor won't let you pull more than 11g at mach 1 and minimum fuel but with full real it lets you pull 13.
Fuck Gaijin, I love the J35D the most but its so shit and aids to use vs radar missiles and the R24Js can get countered so easily with CMs whilst we are just forced to waste energy in dodging missiles. Most of the time its an uptier. Instead of fixing the broken matchmaking it fights against, they just make it shitter?
The viggen always felt like a bus for me. If you do that one good turn it'll take ages to get back up to speed. Maybe it's just delta wings I dislike but the low speed acceleration was painful.
I hope Drakens and Viggens dropped down 0.3 in BR even if they gotta be nerfed for that, im having a real good time in viggens already but we will see what happens if 37D get amraams.. i think we gonna get 2 brackets of amraam carriers featuring older planes in one section and newer in higher

Yes, it is a good 10.7 plane.....but 75% of the time your game will go 11.3，now the best way to fly j35xs is bombing bases with rocket......and nerf wont effect that much, to be honest. As for ja37, well, I think nerf is OK? ja 37c is the best 11.0 plane in the game and still works in 11.3,the biggest problem is the ja37d, which can carry 4 rb99 and 2 rb74. If it really get rb99,then this plane's only option will be to fire all rb99 at the start of the game and rtb,same play style as f-14 with 6 aim54. This will make this plane really boring to play :P

It also has auto flap management now, which completely killed it's high speed dogfight potential. Why people keep refusing to give the F-5e the same treatment as the late zeros to bitch about OP it is when you have monstrosities like the J35XS and the Kfirs at the same BR able to outrate it (and therefore everything) and go mach 1.4 on the deck while having more or better missiles is insane.

"flying low and stay fast" doesnt work when aim 9ls are on their way to you. and as soon as u turn ur catchable by anything. u cant take a single hit either. uber cope from prolly a level 5 f5c player. irst isnt some ll aspect uber buff you think it is either. it helps like 2/10 times. alsos missing the fact the f5s are cold tiny planes making them strong against missiles and hard to hit with guns

the mig-23 was really shit irl. It was so spin prone that the guys at mig put a white line in the cockpit to line the stick up with to get out of a spin.
Less UFO FMs is better for the overall gameplay. Regardless, the thumbnail to the layman conveys this as a "Negative" change; which it is not. No different with the Mig23 video. All of the advantages of the R27ER are negated if you just fly low, but no one knows how to do that, so I have 1111 kills and 338 deaths in my J11

i finished the swedish tech tree and days later they got tracers...
me when a plane with six aim9j, 180 degree irst and the ability to out dogfight and catch up anything that is not an F-16A "sits at 10.7 because no rwr and 6 flare pops only" : _Just fly low and stay fast_
you mention IRST like it matters at all when the only missile you have is aim-9j
@@bigmemer4398 the f-5e has only two, no IRST to enslave and even worse high speed compression (which people love to wrongly refer as "energy retention" making it unable to even cut into hardwing phantoms that run away. It also has auto flap management now, which completely killed it's high speed dogfight potential. Why people keep refusing to give the F-5e the same treatment as the late zeros to bitch about OP it is when you have monstrosities like the J35XS and the Kfirs at the same BR able to outrate it (and therefore everything) and go mach 1.4 on the deck while having more or better missiles is insane.
@@kingghidorah8106 the f5e has way more counter measures. a very usable gun with plenty of ammo. and can out dogfight anything bar a GOOD draken or f16 pilot... "flying low and stay fast" doesnt work when aim 9ls are on their way to you. and as soon as u turn ur catchable by anything. u cant take a single hit either. uber cope from prolly a level 5 f5c player. irst isnt some ll aspect uber buff you think it is either. it helps like 2/10 times. alsos missing the fact the f5s are cold tiny planes making them strong against missiles and hard to hit with guns

The M39s are arguably worse than any other 20mm in game including prop guns and I've even gotten simple hits with the su25 dual 30mm gun on them. Most Draken pilots I've met from the beginning were absolutely awful and still are today if not more. A plane that goes so fast it can literally catch up 12.3 aircraft on the deck and out dogfight anything that is not an f-16 with one of the hardest hitting 30mm guns in the game and six aim9j at the same br of the F-5E. I never ever had an issue against F-5E because I keep my speed and then use it's energy retention against it and, in case I fail I can always peel off because the f-5e does not generate power at all. And somehow I'm 4 kill death ratio on the F-5E because I keep finding idiots like you that think it's a great idea to put your mach 1.4 jets at 600ias on the deck by turn fighting on the first merge.

the mig-23 was really shit irl. It was so spin prone that the guys at mig put a white line in the cockpit to line the stick up with to get out of a spin.

Less UFO FMs is better for the overall gameplay. Regardless, the thumbnail to the layman conveys this as a "Negative" change; which it is not. No different with the Mig23 video. But muh ClickBait.

Agree, but a man brings up removing plane markers from 10.0+ Air RB and suddenly not being realistic is fine and you're the try-hard.
@@cadet3902 Well removing markers is not a good idea in the slightest. Since Planes are not persistently rendered in RB.
Plus Rb is a mixing of two worlds to get more player engagement, Sim and Arcade. Icons really should stay, idk where that fever dream popped out from too.
'Cept it isnt realistic. They gutted the FM a while back to make it easier to fly when it was actually accurate- this is just making a pseudo-realism that isnt accurate at all.

Not a NERF but much welcomed adjustment of FM based on real life flight manuals and documents. Great work by RideR2 to make this game realistic. Keep up this good work!
Making the jet worse is a nerf even if it’s realistic to irl FM. Thats what nerf means
@@theycallmetray396 well it is a gaming term, I would argue that since it always means reducing performance based on feedback/stats to make gameplay more balanced, it does not apply to a simulator game where the change is not driven by gameplay but by real life documentation.
kinda sucks that they had to remove the ability to cobra to make it more "realistic" though. Already couldn't do a full cobra before this nerf, so now it definitely cant
