Actually prefer both models equally. The Splatoon 3 for its more sophisticated street art look and the Scarlet/Violet model for its simplicity representing the overall presentation of Paldea.
Eh. The Splatoon OLED works because of the minimalistic presentation of the designs. I don’t personally like the design of the Pokémon OLED because the designs look too cluttered. Would work better if the designs were just black like with the original Let’s Go console back in 2018
I didn't wait and bought a regular one for myself as an early Christmas present last year, but I will gladly pass it down to my sister to keep this one😂
You cant even tell its 720p, the display looks so good. Sometimes I will prefer to play in handheld just to see how good it looks compared to my tv, then again its just an old 1080p tv

Would love to see one made! Edit: Oh wait, the one with the blue dock… That one just looks bland to me… I can’t believe I forgot about that one. 😂 They could have at least given it a pattern or could have even put Mario and Cappy on it.

The music made me cry I got this game when it came out and loved it ever since this game was actually my first Pokémon game and I have Loved Pokémon ever since when I first got it I didn’t think I would enjoy it but I did when the DLC was announced I had the teal mask date on my calendar and as soon as I knew the indigo disk date I had that on my calendar as well this game has made so many memories a huge thank to nentendo for making this game

I like the joycons on the splatoon more but that pokemon dock looks nice i wish splatoon added more colors to the dock but i got the splatoon 3 edition and would stick with it over this pokemon edition
@@danelhernandez4875 the Splatoon one isn't supposed to have very much color because it represents the turf from Splatoon before it gets painted but I get what you mean.
I honestly was expecting the Pokemon one to be much more extravagant in design and visually appealing cause it's Pokemon. I'm surprised they went for a more simple design for this one. But aye it still looks sweet

I should’ve waited a whole year to get my OLED switch! I got the basic white model last year for my first own switch and put the white joycons on display to stay pristine. I’ve been using my Fire Emblem joycons. I’m so jealous of those who get this dock and that set of joycons! I also can’t wait for Scarlet and Violet, somewhat life long Pokémon fan here…I might even buy the joycons second hand on Ebay for an outrageous amount. (I have already preordered the Scarlet and Violet Bundle Pack, I skipped out of brilliant diamond and shining pearl because I hadn’t saved up, but my birthday is in November so I wasted my savings and went along with the preorder early.)

He had his since launch, and was just waiting on something detrimental to it to happen so he could replace it with the Animal Crossing one. Well, that never happened…but he ended up getting the Animal crossing edition anyways last year. He let me play his old switch until I got my surprise OLED last year at Christmas.
I'm glad that Nintendo is picking up the pace on their special edition Switch releases (it felt like we got loads on 3DS) but why do they almost all the special edition switches have to have the exact same base colours? Y'know, would it be so bad if Nintendo released a special edition that had- like- a blue Switch tablet instead of a black one?

I really hope those joy-cons will be sold seperately. I've been waiting for a year for a purple right joy-con so i can have a matching joycon with those joycon stickers that you get by pre-ordering mario 3d all-stars at gamestop.
@@mudkip69420 You could technically order a purple third-party joycon plastic shell and replace your stock one with it. You just need some dexterity and patience, because it's really easy to strip the screws or break something, joycons have a lot of tiny parts and ribbon cables. I've replaced around 4 joysticks for myself and friends, replaced plastic latches with metal ones and disassembled a pair completely to clean it from soda spill up. It's not bad once you learn how it's put together. It takes a while to swap the shells, but the end result is imo worth it. But I really love tinkering and modding stuff anyway.
@@mudkip69420 Another option is to pay someone to do it for you or find someone who buys joycons, replaces shells and sells them modded like that. But it's getting expensive here.
As cool as this special edition Switch looks (I do love me a good looking special edition console/handheld), I'd only be interested in the dock, as not only do I almost always play my Nintendo Switch exclusively in docked mode (I find the Switch a little big and cumbersome in my hands, which is why I went and got the smaller Switch Lite for handheld play), and because I play the Switch in docked mode, the OLED screen winds up being superfluous in the end.

Limited edition accessories are usually never sold separately. You may find them on eBay though...
