  • It took a lot of hard work and some tough love for Pat Gelsinger to make his way to his dream job as CEO of Intel (INTC). After Gelsinger started at the company in 1979, he made it his mission statement to climb to the top of the corporate ladder, helping Intel become a leading US tech company, not to mention a household name. But he couldn’t have done it without his no-frills mentor and some bumps in the road along the way.
Gelsinger likes to say that he put the silicon in Silicon Valley. And after witnessing a systematic decline in US chip making following a long period of outsourcing to China and other countries, he’s looking to achieve that once again by bringing semiconductor manufacturing back stateside.
The charismatic CEO sat down with Yahoo Finance’s Akiko Fujita at Intel headquarters to speak about how Intel is bringing chip manufacturing back to the US, and how he became the leader that he is today. He attributes a lot of his success to his mentor, Andy Grove, the former CEO of Intel. Gelsinger was taught to give tough feedback to his employees, as well as maintain a level of honesty to build trust.
Intel’s success is being reflected in the market and its stock price as it continues to recover back to levels where it once stood as the leading developer in technology. As Intel continues to make strides, it’s bringing with it the US semiconductor industry as a whole.
Lead This Way is a new series that features big interviews with the business leaders shaping our world today. In these one-on-one conversations, we reveal how their approach to leadership helped them become Wall Street titans.

Intel/Gelsinger would be best off just start building fabs in the US first, not Europe and US at the same time. A lot of money to be spent! Yet, they don't get lot of support from US Tech companies to be foundry customers. I would hope he did not start in Europe until fabs in OH complete and making chips for major customers. This would be a smarter move. He was so anxious! Beside, not sure if Intel has better workers than TSMC and Samsung. I've heard that TSMC and Samsung's workers have better work ethic, that why they deliver and meet commitment.

But the Bible says that in the end of days, if all the countries got a currency reset in February of 2024 and all the countries became a 750 credit score nation. Then they all can place orders all around the world for goods. Buy now pay later. That means all factories that makes the world go round, are maxed out to full capacity for the next 30 years.

A tough feedback for Clownsinger, a big failure and we investors are tired of his lies and incompetence. Right now wasting money in Ohio, Malaysia, outsourcing to TSMC and most import the salary that is paid to this clown, who is trading stocks with insider information. These interviews are this clowns desperate attempt to distract investors from his 3yrs of incompetence and failures.
