Thank you so much for showing me and everyone else . You've explained it to me in the much needed detail . I am quite sure I will be able to get these tricks done the next time I go skiing .
Cool beans, this should help. Finally mastered my switch riding and started Stomping 180's. I know it isn't much, but it sure does feel good. Can only imagine what it's going to be like to be able to nail those 3's on command.
I've been watching a few of your videos which are all good for short videos.. one thing that I feel you never talk about which is so important is where you should be looking when you land. For example in the video, uphill. Someone trying this trick without understanding you need to land blind will try and bring their head around to face forward likely causing an over rotation (450) and probably causing them not to land it clean, if at all. In each of your videos which I have seen today on all of your rotations (even in and out of boxes and rails) you don't mention this tip. Obviously, where you look depends on which direction you spin (frontside or backside) and if you land at a full or half rotation. General rule of thumb, on backside spins any half rotation you look uphill - blind (180/540) and any full rotation you want to land facing forward (360/720). For frontside spins any half rotation you want to land facing forward (downhill) and any full rotation (360/720) you want to land blind. This will help you especially with front 360's as your head only needs to spin 180 while your legs can spin the rest.
Just nailed fs 360 in park today for the first time and it was ALL about understanding where you need to be looking when landing. Failed tens of times while trying to look forward while landing and finally it just clicked. Have seen this tutorial so many times and it would’ve been a huge help even though I must say that you still just need to ”get it” to make it work and that comes only with trial and error no matter how good your tutorial or tutor is. Thanks for Snowboard pro camp for great tutoriala and this comment for being a very awesome and helpful comment! Will probably remember this every time training my spinning skills from now on 🤘
One does not simply "finish" 180s. Even the most supreme sensei of snowboarding may still improve their 180 skill in subtle ways! You rack disciprine! ;P
You dudes fucking rock!!! I'mma give it a shot when I get back out to the mountain. I can take some pretty wicked sized jumps, but I've never tried to spin off one. I'll start small first haha
Hi ! thx a lot for the tutorial When arriving at the jump for the 360, should i send the rotation with my legs first, or my upper body, or both at the same time ?
Candice Kline You can do either one. I think when you're first learning it's easier to pop off both at the same time. Once you more comfortable you can start doing more of an ollie into the 3.
Hi kevin.... Thanks again for the tips... I'm gonna give this a go tomorrow but I have a question first. After I pop of the lip and start my rotaion, Should I look over shoulder and hole it till my tail comes round before the landing? David.
If you look at the video he(and most people) actually only look over the shoulder the first 180 and then look backwards where you landed and then turn your head forward again.
SnowboardProCamp I ride goofy, but It seems like I'm more comfortable attempting any sort of spin towards my heel edge rather than my toe edge. Any idea why?
Hey Kevin! I can usually land back threes but for some reason when I go to do a front 3 I only end up spinning 180. Is the timing of my rotation off?? Do you know what I might be doing wrong?? It's annoying because I want to get it down because it's a cool trick! Please help!!!!
ATTENTION FELLOW RIDERS FRONTSIDE 360S CAN BE LANDED MUCH EASIER WITH A BLIND LANDING (TYPE OF LANDING USED ON A BACKSIDE 180). THIS WAS NOT EMPHASIZED AND THEY USED IT THROUGH THE WHOLE VIDEO SO I THOUGHT I WOULD MAKE A NOTE OF IT!
personally i feel like a frontside 360 is easier but many could disagree.I guess its just a preference give em both a try most learn backside first. Good luck
You want to land a bit on your edge. If I take off from my heel edge and land on my heel edge then I know I got the full 360 around. Once you get more comfortable you can ride out on either edge.
Hay Kevin. Thanks for your videos, just started this year and from what everyone tells me, I guess I'm really good for a beginner and u guess really ballsy haha, like jumps, glades and summit. But anyways. I want to be crazy good at park so I've been hitting the jumps like crazy. Some I land, some i land then fall. What I'm having trouble with is popping my board in a simple Ollie. Last time I tried I waited till the last minute and tried popping it, but my legs either go ocweredly behind me, or sometimes my legs just go everywhere. Ik I have to keep my legs stiff but bend them slightly. I just can't seem to pop the board up. I did once on my first box. Face plant would have sucked. But you have any tips man? Thx again for the vids, learning a lot was gota try the front side but after my last attempt trying to Ollie, think it will be a while. Haha
55Rumble I found it easier to go for front 3's first, but I have friends who learned back 3's first too, so it's really which ever you feel more comfortable with. Which 180 is easier for you?
Board length depends on weight, not height. I'm two inches taller than you and can ride a stiff 150 because I only weigh 130. However, the average weight of a 6'1" guy would probably be pretty well-suited to a 157.
I.m always interupt attempt right before popup, cause when im approaching the hop on the heel edge it feels like i will start to spin around horizontal axis an will end up on my back. Is this just a wrong feeling or i.m doing something wrong?
test89267 Work on just doing the heel carve and popping straight up in the air off your heels. If you feel off axis then you're either leaning too far back on the pop or your wind up and rotation isn't level. Get someone to film you if you can and post it up here.
I can't seem to pop evenly I always do the trick easily I just spin out on my heels in the landing and when I try to pop even I get stuck at a 180 and suggestions?
Long time ago, but that was aswell my question, i have tried and tried until i realized i always tried it with a backside 360 (dont know much about those names😹), i will try it first with the front in this case✋🏼
hello kevin! great videos btw! :) but i have some questions: It´s easier for me to spin backside (regular stance if you want to know), but is it important in som way to learn the frontside 360 first? another question ( or more of a finding) is that i started to learn tricks before i found your "10 tricks to learn first". and that means that a yet can not do the 360 but i can do other tricks that arent on that list. is that bad? tha last thing is about a video wher you mentioned something like "learn FS 360 in big jumps before you learn the BS 360 in a small jump". i didn´t really get that, can you explain? :) thanks!
ackesk Thanks for the questions! First, It doesn't matter which spin you learn first, but I think it's good to learn both around the same time. Second, the ten trick list is just a guide to give you more ideas for tricks to learn. You don't have to learn all of them in order and its fine if you already know trick or haven't learned certain tricks. The last question is that I got really good at front 3's before ever trying a back 3. It would have been better for me to learn both at the same time so I wasn't favoring one over the other. I hope this answers your questions!
SnowboardProCamp thanks Sven More for the answers! But theres acually a few more thing i am wondering! ;) 1.how can i train the 360 spin offseason? 2.how do i get vetter balance while doing backside boardslide so i can go on "angled boxes"? 3.how do i prepare to go from rather small jumps to big ones?
I'm a beginner and I fell on my tailbone a lot my first time going and the snow was really hard, and know my tailbone is pretty sore and it hurts when I bend down, sitting and sometimes when walking do you know what is wrong with it, and if so how long does it take to heal plz respond
I got this a lot when I first started snowboarding. How long has it been sore? If it's not been too long then it is probably a bruise underneath which you can't see. If your at home and it's uncomfortable to sit then I recommend you get a swimming ring type of this as it takes the pressure off the tailbone area. Take painkillers as well if you need them. Hope you get better soon
I think every boarder can relate to this. When I started I fell pretty bad on my tailbone too and couldn't sit without pain for at least 2 months. There's not really anything you can do since its very difficult to treat other than just waiting till the pain is over.
The board costs $27, a night playing monopoly until 5 am with sherpas, your underpants, a wicked hangover, and your dignity. Not a straight monetary quote, but equivalent.
I find that most often the problem is a lack of determination. When you are unsecure with the landings because you might catch an edge when overrotating (or underrotating) then better practice jumps and landings first. And pratice 180s with a blind landing. Glad it was helpful!
This is so encouraging actually seeing "mediocre" attempts by this guy here
Cool beans, this should help.
Finally mastered my switch riding and started Stomping 180's. I know it isn't much, but it sure does feel good.
Can only imagine what it's going to be like to be able to nail those 3's on command.
mate, thanks for these videos. You're a legend for loading up great content for free like this.
Season is coming, and I'm here trying to memorize the steps so I can practice... Best tricks tutorials on YT... Love you guys

avi lugassy know this was 2yrs ago but shame there was no response from sbpc on this very critical and great tip!:)

Thanks i just finished 180s now kicking it up a notch
One does not simply "finish" 180s. Even the most supreme sensei of snowboarding may still improve their 180 skill in subtle ways! You rack disciprine!
;P
Love the Recess hat! Its one my local board shop!!
Wow this channel is awesome! You get like 1 to no dislikes on any video! Just subscribed, keep up the great work.
i have been snowboarding 13 years now and mostly i have only skied in forest because its so fun but i think its time to learn some tricks :D
THIS JANUARY!!!!!! this is gonna be the year i master front 3s
Thank you so much this video is perfect.
Me too. I am psyched to master front 3s. Good luck!
Next week its my turn!!!
i did it, and from switch too. :)
AL Threethousand AWESOME!!! Congrats! I am hoping to get them by the end of the season.
Hey I'm only 12 and I learnt it immediately after u watched your video it helped so much thank you
Thank you guys! Thus was very helpful👍
Your videos are very helpful and I hope to be as good as you. Also please make a video that helps on progressing the amounts of air on jumps. Thanks:)
Yooooo representing Recess at the end of the video!!! Best shop in Boone! I ride at App, best park in the south!!!
Great video! Keep up the good work bro :)
I don't know if you have this tutorial already but if you don't you should make a tutorial on how to do a cork. That'd be really awesome!
Awesome!
Thanks! I can do 180's but not 360's this'll definitely help
You dudes fucking rock!!! I'mma give it a shot when I get back out to the mountain. I can take some pretty wicked sized jumps, but I've never tried to spin off one. I'll start small first haha
Can you do a video on how to do crooked rails like rails with drops on them and stuff?
i like rotating backside best i have back 180 and 360's any tips on how to get into frontside spins ?
Thanks. Nailed it.
Can you guys make a tutorial on how to 180 tail butter to 360 out :)
anyway keep it up
you need to feel the inspiration do lot of tail and n'ose press and there yo go you just need to follow Your inspiration by add rotation.
What kind of board do you guys use? Eg camber, rocker... Etc...
i find front 360 so hard to do for some reason i can do back flip, 180 all kinds of different grabs but i awaly fuckk up on spinning
Hi ! thx a lot for the tutorial
When arriving at the jump for the 360, should i send the rotation with my legs first, or my upper body, or both at the same time ?
That helped a lot thx so much
Thanks mate!
Can this be up-scaled to a full size jump? or are the mechanics different?
Kevin I can land the front 3 off a side hill like shown in the video but when I try it on a hip Jump I cant seem to land it, tips?
thank you for this!!
is it Rome butterknife? I was going to buy it can u tell me smthing about it? Bord for fun full freestyle and buttering.
When you're jumping off, do you want the same pop from your legs at the same time, or are you doing a small ollie with more pop off the back?
Candice Kline You can do either one. I think when you're first learning it's easier to pop off both at the same time. Once you more comfortable you can start doing more of an ollie into the 3.
Hi kevin....
Thanks again for the tips...
I'm gonna give this a go tomorrow but I have a question first.
After I pop of the lip and start my rotaion, Should I look over shoulder and hole it till my tail comes round before the landing?
David.
55Rumble Yeah man! Keep looking over your should and picture yourself landing on your heel edge or a bit on your tail. Good luck!
If you look at the video he(and most people) actually only look over the shoulder the first 180 and then look backwards where you landed and then turn your head forward again.
So you basically land in the blind.
so do you pop with both feet together or ollie when performing a 360?
Finally thanks you!!!
what kind of board do u use in this video the orange one?
thanks helped a lot
SnowboardProCamp I ride goofy, but It seems like I'm more comfortable attempting any sort of spin towards my heel edge rather than my toe edge. Any idea why?
Hey Kevin! I can usually land back threes but for some reason when I go to do a front 3 I only end up spinning 180. Is the timing of my rotation off?? Do you know what I might be doing wrong?? It's annoying because I want to get it down because it's a cool trick! Please help!!!!
So backside should be your oppo spin? Cuz for me its my regular spin??
So do you jump on your heels then? Reply would be great
thanks sow much
is carving a must for the tricks?
Could u do a tutorial on backside 360 tail grab
ATTENTION FELLOW RIDERS FRONTSIDE 360S CAN BE LANDED MUCH EASIER WITH A BLIND LANDING (TYPE OF LANDING USED ON A BACKSIDE 180). THIS WAS NOT EMPHASIZED AND THEY USED IT THROUGH THE WHOLE VIDEO SO I THOUGHT I WOULD MAKE A NOTE OF IT!
sometimes i land and keep spinning on the ground. any tips?
Typical case. You have to use the edge to stop the spinning. Land flat and an instant later bend your board like carving. Enjoy yourself!
hey. iam goıng to buy burton custom flyıngv which is same to your s. do u lıke your board ?
Thanks for the tips man. I feel like a backside would be way more easy for me. I just feel more comfortable with the motion. What do you think?
personally i feel like a frontside 360 is easier but many could disagree.I guess its just a preference give em both a try most learn backside first. Good luck
Portillo Production I can stomp them both now haha. I learned pretty quick.
For the front 3 do you have to ollie
Something, I have never gotten clarity on is should you land on a flat base or a little bit of an edge?
You want to land a bit on your edge. If I take off from my heel edge and land on my heel edge then I know I got the full 360 around. Once you get more comfortable you can ride out on either edge.

Is it easier to frontside or backside 360?
Great
whats that black helmet that you're wearing with the goggle strap underneath? Whats it called when you do that?
cody G The helmet is Sandbox and the goggles are Spy. I'm not sure what that's called. Anyone know?
Hey Kevin,
I've not put any 3's down yet...
Should I go for front or back 360's first???
55Rumble I found it easier to go for front 3's first, but I have friends who learned back 3's first too, so it's really which ever you feel more comfortable with. Which 180 is easier for you?
Front 1's are way easier... I think it's the blind landing that's freaking me out???
So, maybe back 3's as I'll see my landing???
I've got a lib tech 157. Is that still a good size for free style and terrain? I know it is a little big but I'm about 6'1
Your fine mate
Board length depends on weight, not height. I'm two inches taller than you and can ride a stiff 150 because I only weigh 130. However, the average weight of a 6'1" guy would probably be pretty well-suited to a 157.

Is it better to learn fronside 360 or backside 360 first? I can do both fs180 and bs 180, but feel more comfortable to do bs180.
Try a front three first then because your landing will be similar to a back 1.
Long time ago, but that was aswell my question, i have tried and tried until i realized i always tried it with a backside 360 (dont know much about those names😹), i will try it first with the front in this case✋🏼

Abby Sharkey and it should only take a couple days to a week. But could be longer.
George drallos My tailbone was once sore for a month. To be safe you should go to the doctor and get an x-ray.
Shit, i fell on mine and it hurt like that for 5 months, it was badly bruied. 1 1/5 years later it still hurts every once in a while
I think every boarder can relate to this. When I started I fell pretty bad on my tailbone too and couldn't sit without pain for at least 2 months. There's not really anything you can do since its very difficult to treat other than just waiting till the pain is over.
I'm a noob and every time I try Bs or Fs 360 I automaticly stop at a 180. I just can't get that last 180. Do you have any tips for this?
When you film what resolution and fps are you shooting at?
DdawgHdg This is 1080p at 60fps
How much money does the board cost with out the bindings. plz answer back.Thx
The board costs $27, a night playing monopoly until 5 am with sherpas, your underpants, a wicked hangover, and your dignity.
Not a straight monetary quote, but equivalent.
i want to learn some of these tricks but the mountain that i go to has no good areas to try this out in ): (im from MA)
Is a backside 360 easier
Take off on heel edge, but land on what edge?
I just i have one question how much money do your snowboards cost. Plz answer back.Thx
daniel fischer The snowboards I ride are cost between $450 and $700 Canadian.
SnowboardProCamp Bindings included or not? Also its best to first get boots and then buy your board right?
Ive been on that mountain I was at camp of champions
So you land toeside?
Shall i drive fast, or can i do a 360 with a slow speed too?
Jonas Razman You need enough speed to get some air off the lip.
I find that most often the problem is a lack of determination. When you are unsecure with the landings because you might catch an edge when overrotating (or underrotating) then better practice jumps and landings first. And pratice 180s with a blind landing. Otherwise you will be too slow and then don't make it 360 degrees. Good luck!
thanks :)
Back 3's next
Does two snowboard sizes to small make a problem?
Brendii gaming It depends on what type of snowboading you're doing. How much do you weigh and what size is the snowboard?
all mountain
about 167cm tall and about 63 kilos
Brendii gaming if anything id say thats a bit big for you
that board is too big for you!
+Brendii gaming I weigh 63 kilos and ride a 157 wide
you are really only doing a 270 in this tutorial, im sure many of your subs want to learn them on jump which is harder.
riding switch always knocks me o# balance any suggestions
Gold Era Productions Just practice. Try to ride switch a part of each run. Or pick certain days where you only ride switch.
+Gold Era Productions Also, get used to riding with a duck stance. I use +15 -15
how do u do it off a jump
+Max Dunleavy same principles
What
+Max Dunleavy It is the same . Just don#t spin to much. Just try it out. Dont do it too big
+Mike Thompson but i go to afton in Minnesota and the smalkest jump is not big and if i go i will hit the side of the jump
+Max Dunleavy What do you mean by the side of the jump ? You dont Land in the steep part after the jump ?
I can perfectly 3 flat. Yet i cannot 180 at all. Can anybody tell me if this is a good start or bad start?
You got me beat. I'm still at the 180 stage.
Haha
learn o ride switch
I can never get the 360 rotation. Down
Good thing I'm switch
Sorry but I'm newer to snowboarding but is switch when you can lead with both feet if so I can too
Charlie Reid ye
switch just means the opposite foot in front then you are used to, it does not mean you can ride both ways lol
you talk about the landing in the video. it what usually have problems with
In the Video it is a backside 360 not frontside 360
I found backside 360's alot easier i cant front 3 to save my life haha
You told that 270 is a mistake but all your jumps actually were 270 only
I can never spin. Y board all the way around
I'm not allowed to bomb the hill😜😊
