you compared the wrong lighting lol, new siege is ugly, bland, and nothing feels alive anymore. i used to actually feel like i was at the locations. also I HATE THEM for removing THUNT AND BARLET.
old old siege was worse than siege now, but siege when champ meant something and u could see everyone's stats and the light was still somewhat cinematic, that was the BEST siege.
games been out for 9 years champ got released y4s3 so after 5 years it won’t be fun for some people but does who are newer actually find enjoyment in pushing for champ lmao and new lighting is way better
i will say roaming on the old maps was some of the most fun ive ever had in siege the gun fights were always SUPER intense and flanks had to be timed perfect, roam clearing used to be a mandatory step in ranked
also i'll add who remembers Alternating att/def every second round this made the attacker sided maps issue not as prevalent

Unpopular opinion, old graphics looked better, it actually had ambience, depth, and realistic lighting. Yeah maybe it was inconvenient at times but it looked great. They changed it to make everything look the same, so certain places weren’t 1 sided from let’s say the sun blinding you or something. Granted, it had its flaws, like some corners or spaces were pitch black, but if that got fixed I’d prefer having the old lighting back. Also Old Oregon was better than new Oregon, especially with old lighting. Won’t change my mind on that
Remember when you had 2 reinforcements per player? Setting up site with randoms was a nightmare

i liked back in old siege when attackers had the BEST guns by far and it was actually terrifying to peek them (unless you were jager) made the game a lot more punishing on defense

@@kurtis5567 these guns were for sure amazing but back in the day SO many people complained that Jager had an AR because AR's were just superior back then. people genuinely hated jager for his gun

Old seige was more fun and broken. But it was no way near better than the game today.
they should bring t hunts back because i miss them and you could also play them offline. My internet likes to go out and i could at least still play siege offline and keep my aim good and not rusty, but now if your offline for siege boom you can literally only do the fucking tutorial like dude i’m diamond not level 1
Diamond since year 1 and beta player. Old siege was more fun and played way different. Niw recoil is easier and the gane is much faster paced. I best siege was year 3

Crazy, the old map pool was so much better than the ranked pool nowadays, if I were Ubisoft I’d take every ranked map out and swap them with all the quick match maps no one wants to play villa, emerald, skyscraper, outback, kafe, chalet or coastline all these maps are dogshit

I agree with everything BUT... its not lazy that we are now getting less operators and stuff. If you think about it, they already have all of the obvious no brainer gadgets in the game and now they have to get creative with each new op. So less operators a year = better polished operators rather than 4 spit and string ops with not well thought out gadgets that nobody will use. On another note, if you think about it the game is already kind of bloated. so lowering how many ops we get a year also slows down it getting even MORE bloated. Some people are going to say "siege is not bloated man what are you talking about" and to that I say, that's because you know the game. you know each op, you know how the game works. new players already look at siege and go "nope" due to the sheer amount of stuff to learn. That's just how I look at it, and I really think them changing up what we get each year is a good thing. At the end of the day these changes are done for the better giving the developers more time to make each new thing. You can compare it to GTA6 kind of. We don't want that game rushed, we want it to come out a good game. that's what we want from siege each year right? More polished good content rather than rushed out terrible content. quality of quantity is what they are slowly aiming for and I'm here for it.

@@Anifex-Iv but are u tryna say not having to play against cheaters every other game in a dog shit ranking system isn't eons better? like saying old siege was not 300% better then current siege is kinda crazy. not even talking from an opinion based stand point but just playability, all the cosmetics, lighting, weird animations or broken ops don't really matter if the game is still playable. maybe cause u play on console but the last two seasons on pc have to be the worst season this game has ever had. you would get a rage cheater every like 6 in 10 games, it was so bad that u could just sit afk and wait to see if your rage cheater beat their rage cheater.
