Warlord Games kindly sent me the rules, tank cards and tokens for their upcoming WW2 Tank game Achtung Panzer so I thought I'd try my first game. Mistakes will have been made! More AP coverage to come.

Nice explanation of the rules. It seems quite granular, but at the same time quite a bit of randomness with the special cards.
Yeah there are some interesting rules but they seem to enhance not block the games

I think it's fun
I like the time dice idea. If you have the advantage you might try and end the game quicker for the win, but if you're behind you will try and slow it down.

The T-34 with 3 hits was unfortunately knocked out as any 3 hits is fatal
Yeah I realised my mistake after the game. But it was a first run through I guess!
Very interesting first WWII game that made me consider playing the game. It would be nice to see you waffle stomp Martin at some point. Do you think its playable with small scale miniatures?
Martin and I are definitely up for a game. The problem is we live quite a way apart but we will! I think the game is entirely doable in smaller scales. 15mm for example just requires cm rather than inches.
I'll do it but only if he doesnt change dice halfway through the game 😅👀

Road speed maybe. But off road I believe that the Shermans were faster. But I bow to your superior knowledge
You play the 'unto the breach' card when you perform the load action (says it on the card) so sadly it does count as a tactical action

Thanks for this report. I live in Michigan (USA) with no gamers within four hours. Always looking for a good solo game and this looks like it might fit the bill. I have lots of 15mm tanks itching for some action.
I am running such kind of game but my tanks are under Lego style :)

What scale are the tanks you are using?
I’m using 28mm range vehicles, but absolutely no reason why you can’t use other scales

Regarding having a round loading and one in the tube. It seems ok because this represents two actual crew positions - gunner and loader.
Mmm…. Just feels wrong to me but take your point
@@BootsontheTable It's perhaps not so well explained in the book, but you can only have one round either loaded or loading at any time. Essentially, if you have a round in the ready box, you can't have one in the load box and vice-versa.
@@MikeBradford-wc3vrawesome. I saw someone else do two rounds and it just felt wrong. I discussed it with Martin 7th Son and we decided this made more sense 😊
