    Interesting little case. It look nice. I've see a lot of interesting cases lately. One of the strangest is the In Win Alice which looks like a laundry basket. I got to see Mike of Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to do a live build in that case and it actually ended up looking pretty cool. Oh, well. Wishing you and the lovely Klaire a happy new year. Can't wait to see what 2020 will bring.

    This was probably one of the most difficult cases I've built in as I had a 3.5" Hard drive on the side, fan controller, and larger GPU. It's definitely an eye catcher when it's fully assembled but I had thermal issues with the glass panels. I'm sure the mesh panels are a lot better but I had to go away with this case. Another issue I had with this case was the custom sleeved cables, specifically the 24 Pin being plugged in. The tray with the phanteks logo would always pop outwards from the pressure of the cable. If you're getting this case keep that in mind. Kudos for fitting everything so nicely. I think this case would look a lot better with the glass front and the mesh panel on the back.

    • @GearSeekers
      @GearSeekers  4 года назад +1

      I've got both versions. The temps are the same as an open air test bench with the mesh version.

    • @millergram
      @millergram 4 года назад

      @@GearSeekers Appreciate the reply! That's unfortunate though. It's a great case foot print wise. I thought the mesh would provide better temps but glad to know they're about the same as I was thinking on giving it one more try. I'm a mini-itx builder and appreciate the difficulty and challenges when building but with that of course comes with moderate to low air flow when wanting to do small form factor builds.

    I now realized why I enjoy very much your videos. The melt down of your visuals with music pick is genius... Really, excellent work. Especially based on this video I build very similar build in evolve shift but stick with rtx 2070, turned it around with fans towards the interior of the box, as you mentioned power cables dont fit because of the PSU at the bottom. Thanx for your inspiration. Greetings from Slovakia... and will be great if you post the name of the song.

      Could you measure how much clearance there is between the top of the CPU and the case side ? Ie. how tall can the cooler be ?
      I love how open that case is. Why keep heat trapped inside ? I also love how many fans you put in the front. Small cases are usually hard to cool. Not that one.
      Would there be room for a 240 or 360 radiator in the case ? Where you put the fans ?

    • @GearSeekers
      @GearSeekers  4 года назад

      I think all the specs are on the Phanteks product page. As far as AIO cooling you're limited to 120mm.

    • @SomeTechGuy666
      @SomeTechGuy666 4 года назад

      @@GearSeekers The CPU cooler clearance is only 82mm. That rules out a big cooler like the Cool Master Hyper 212, which is 159mm high. And a 120mm radiator is too small to keep a 3950X cool if it is working hard.

      He also forgot to mention it can actually house 2 x 120mm rads, you just can't have a single 240mm as it uses the bottom mount point and the bottom mount on the side (L shape), you can either extend an AIO and add an extra RAD/tubing or do a custom loop with a tiny res/pump combo

      @@GearSeekers hey thanks for your answer : i spoke about the front panel :) (i've got the air version too)
      There is some problem with this case with thermal flow :
      first : the PSU exhaust the heat on the bottom of the case, so if you put some AIO it will Retake this air.
      second : the front panel contain to much the extracting airflow.
      if you look the Jay2cents video on this case, he put some lazer cut front panel for better result.
      mesh panel i just usefulll for the GPU side !
      for encoding or 4k gaming, i use a light undervolt on cpu and gpu for keep all in corrects temps.
      Despite i love this case , nice look with a small footprint .

      Would love to buy a second PC in a mini case with my ryzen 2700x and a new graphics card.
      Maybe I would keep my gtx 970 some time but need a new case, Mainboard, ram etc. Pp.
