Regarding the doctor strikes, nobody seems to ever explicitly say why doctors are upset. It's mentioned here that the proposed reforms are thought of by doctors as illogical, but why do doctors feel that way, there must be an actual good reason for all this right? Similarly it's mentioned that doctors weren't adequately involved in the decision making, fair, but if the decision were beneficial this would be a non-issue so there must be something bigger. I can guess that maybe it has to do with fears about job safety in a more saturated market, or concerns that it will take away from the 'prestige' of being a doctor, but I don't actually know. I've asked Korean friends who have the ability to gain a clearer picture of the situation than my limited Korean language allows me to grasp, but nobody can give any sort of clear answer. Any thoughts here?

Proud to have employees who have been with us 15 years plus. Paying well, not micro managing, and having flexible hours helps a lot.

I quit bc they were supposed to hire me full-time w/ benefits after 6 months, but never did after my 21 months.

And my manager had the nerve to ask me to come back multiple times...

3 million won for a full time job is about 1800 USD and buys almost nothing. Young people know this and think "why even waste my time?" This is happening in japan too , which has an even weaker currency
