The Williamstown Line alone has 3 level crossings with Hudsons Road Spotswood and Anderson Street Yarraville being removed making it level crossing free between Footscray and Newport but on the Werribee line alone has at least 130 level crossings with at least 3 of them in Geelong being removed
There are three crossings which have been removed - Ferguson Street - Old Geelong Road - Cherry Street There are another 5 added to the removal list - Anderson Street - Hudsons Road - Champion Road - Maddox Road - Maidstone Street (mainline)
Great video Applehead! Very informative and useful. My personal favourite crossing is Anderson st yarraville EDIT: at 13:17 it isn’t in Altona north but I guess you could say that to differentiate it from the other crossing near Westona station
Thanks Harry, ohh yeah I just realised lol. It said Altona North on the Metro signaling diagrams so I guess it was put as that bc of the Westona crossing
Yep, that’s true, the crossing will stay open for pedestrians for a couple months until the underpass is completed. Thought it should try get this out as soon as I could after the crossing closes to road traffic. It’s the same day so it counts ... just
When I filmed this technically 2 unless u include the 2 between Newport and Yarraville which makes it 4. I made this video of both the Werribee AND Williamstown lines combined so that’s why there is 14

Crossing #14 has been removed, and was replaced with an overpass on a different street.
Yes Cherry Street, removed in 2021 and replaced with a road bridge connecting Tarneit Rd to the Princes Hwy. Add Old Geelong Rd to that too
