Getting readers hyped and maintaining the momentum can make it survive. Just look at Black Clover; Very generic, very similar premise (stealing) with other shonen story, very predictable, but the story is easy to follow and the mindless battle still attract readers.
When the main villian asked “are you kagura because your bachi or are you bachi because your kagura” I knew that this truly was the kagura bachi that is approaching. Chills
Honestly my favorite part was when a random thug said he was gonna steal kagura bachis sword and he said "if you want it... then you'll have to take it." While sitting on his plastic lawn chair. Truly a motivational scene. Made me bury the light deep within. Kagura bachi truly is the storm that is approaching
Unironically, having your new manga explode in popularity with it's DEBUT CHAPTER is no small feat. I can't think of any other manga that has done that
Some corrections : Shonen Jump always put new mangas on the front of the issue, they do it everytime. Also, beside the meme, there is no way to determine if Kagura Bachi will be the next hit, a good proportions of Jump newcomers end up being rapidly cancelled due to of a lack of popularity. It's so common that new mangas are expected to be axed until proven otherwise. For now, there's only two chapters so there is no way to know.

This meme sort of makes me sad, since manga authors are usually single people (sometimes with a few assistants), while Morbius was the creation of a soulless corporate committee. Imagine how excited you'd be if you were a foreign author seeing everyone excited to read your work, only to realize every last person was actually ruthlessly making fun of you. Maybe I'm weird for finding that gross or mean.
Glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. If I was the author and I figured out my first few chapters were being made fun of for no good reason by hundreds of thousands I'd probably lose all motivation
I think for kagura bachi people really not having ill intent just want to roast the existing shounen fandom.. the negative is the existing shounen fandom will hate kagurabachi
Man I’m so glad kagurabachi is getting a manga adaptation I remember reading it back when I was a kid because the author was projecting his thoughts about the series in my dreams I can’t wait for the story to reach the part where one of the main characters, Kagura, said “It’s bachin time” and proceeded to kagurabachi all over the place. It was genuinely one of the fights in manga history
Ironically, it actually ended up being great. Too early to call it the next big thing, but it's definitely got some of the strongest first 30 chapters among Shounen Jump manga over the last 10 years.
It's literally one of the best Shonen Jump series right now a year later, funny how it started off as being ironically called peak only to now be genuinely peak.
don't u noticed how every panel of the manga has a deep meaning that can help the humanity evolve to conquer the whole galaxy? kagurabachi is a profound secret but only the chosen ones are allowed to comprehend the truly mysterious and powerful manga of kagurabachi
0:37 Quick note: the weekly shonen jump magazine always puts newly serialized mangas on the front cover regardless of what it is so it's not exclusive to kagura bachi
I’m all for the Mangaka doing his own thing. So long as he doesn’t get harassed nor demoralized by the constant people squawking about the memes and simply finishes his creation as he sees fit.
@@crazybeatrice4555I hate this meme with all my soul. Not because the movie is good (although in fact I really think it's great), but because the meme is disgusting and popular. @@Yalovayahznepomnimena You can’t find anything good with Morbius because it’s trash 😂😂. It’s popularity is derived from being so trash that it’s meme’d on, if you enjoy it you’re in the very small minority of viewers.
@@fourplayerarcade I understand that everyone has an opinion, but is the movie so bad that you hate it so much? It's not bad enough to get such fame - it's a normal movie
The first two chapters were really good though, not gonna lie. Catches audience attention with the hook quickly, doesn't overly focus on backstory or take too long to get going, and not bad world building for how little we have so far.
I decided to ironically read it this week, ended up being unironically a fan of it... It was actually peak the art and fights are perfect and almost a new chapter drops every week. Unlike a wasted series made by a fraud called gaygay..
I remember the time when Shonen Jump tried to axe Kagurabachi, but Kagurabachi axed Jump instead. Luckily, they spared them, and that's why we can still read Shonen Jump today.
I've been calling it for tge past week, but watch these memes not only be the best free marketing one could have nowadays but also watch the manga turn around and go from generic to actually unironically good. That would be just downright hillarious
This. Not Kagura Bachi, but I remember when 100 GF first came out, I said it is just your typical trash harem romcom and it probably will get 10 chapters max. And here we are with the manga having 150 chapters and an anime adaptation with it rumored to be two cour. Hope that all this talks this meme generate will make Kagura has a name for himself.
Kagura bachi grew to be the 5th most popular manga on Shonen Jump so clearly the meme truly boosted the manga tremendously. We know even the author knows about the memes.
It is quite literally the embodiment of peak perfection in all of fiction and there is no debating that. Kagura Bachi has saved millions if lives, ended world hunger, stop global warming, ended world war, even the cure for cancer was written in kagura bachi. So we can all agree that it truly was a kagura bachi.

Kagurabachi truly is the epitome of peak fiction not only meeting but also exceeding the gold standards when it comes to storytelling from its characters to world building, lore creation and power system. The plot twists were so well done i mean you could read it over and over again not even noticing the subtle but impactful clues left behind by the author in certain moments of the story. The characterisation is just on point everyone in the story is majestic in their abilities yet still feel grounded enough to resemble real life people with a depth of emotion as vast as the ocean itself. Every turning point in the story is delivered with the utmost care and consideration to how it progresses and changes the story and those within it really allowing us to see the story as though we were experiencing it ourselves. Each conflict challenging both our protagonist's and antagonists forcing them to change and mature as people less they fall behind as a result of the ghosts of their past and future teaching those of us in the real world the hard choices and tough life lessons remaining for as long as we live. The world itself being such a bright and meticulously constructed organism that helps transcend the audience's suspension of disbelief and provide an ample nesting place for which the story may gain its ground. It's just *chefs kiss* peak fiction.
One thing that adds to the meme potential is the really stilted translation some totally legal manga sharing platforms. It just felt like an AI translated the work.

I actually read the first two chapters after seeing this video. Honestly, the most interesting aspect of the comic is it's approach to katanas as works of craftsmanship and the messy relationship between being a craftsman and being complicit in murder. Other than that, it's a pretty standard revenge story. It's kind of a shame that it's seemingly receiving the Morbius treatment because that one idea feels pretty fresh and interesting
I think the reason Kagurabachi got the main spot in its starting Jump issue is probably because that's how it usually goes when a new manga begins in Jump.
Something I would like to add is that every manga gets to be on the cover of jump. It’s part of how they promote new series. Also currently it is around 5th on manga plus putting it below One Piece, Boruto 2, Jujitsu Kaisen, and one other series I can’t remember.

Very generic, very similar premise (stealing) with other shonen story, very predictable, but the story is easy to follow and the mindless battle still attract readers.
I don't see any difference from Kagurabachi and Chainsaw Meh. They are both meh and disappointing for me.
When the main villian asked “are you kagura because your bachi or are you bachi because your kagura” I knew that this truly was the kagura bachi that is approaching. Chills
Yeah same for me when the villian said "Are you the strongest because you are Kagurabachi or are you Kagurabachi because you are the strongest"
Honestly my favorite part was when a random thug said he was gonna steal kagura bachis sword and he said "if you want it... then you'll have to take it." While sitting on his plastic lawn chair.

Thanks, now you made me sad 😢
Glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. If I was the author and I figured out my first few chapters were being made fun of for no good reason by hundreds of thousands I'd probably lose all motivation
It's not the same thing, no one really thinks it's bad

Truly a Kagura Bachi moment
I hope the author takes advantage of this popularity even if it’s a meme because if he makes a good story it could actually go really well
One thing that adds to the meme potential is the really stilted translation some totally legal manga sharing platforms. It just felt like an AI translated the work.

Having immersed myself in manga for an extensive period, I can confidently assert that 'Kagura Bachi' epitomizes the pinnacle of the shounen genre.
Can't wait for Kagurabachi to win next year's Oscar
