- In the leadup to Deadpool & Wolverine, a film looking to cover multiple parts of the multiverse, I felt it's be a good time to go back on some of the previous X-n movies.
After the Origins franchise failed to get off the ground in any way, Fox diverted to more of a reboot/prequel, even though it wasn't initially conceived as a prequel and more a simple reboot.
Matthew Vaughn, director of the first 2 Kingsman movies, was brought in despite previously dropping out of X-Men: The Last Stand.
On an incredibly tight time schedule, Matthew Vaughn was handed this incredibly difficult task. However the outcome would be one of the most interesting and fun movies in the whole genre, and in my opinion, an under appreciated gem in the entire X-Men franchise.
Starring James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender give powerhouse performances as Magneto and Professor X, with a supporting cast that also provide great performances individually.
First Class is my all-time fav superhero movie
I agree
Mad agree, XM:FC is always the movie I chose to rewatch
seamlessly is a a fun entertaining comic book movie as well as an emotionally driven character study
Its a great movie. Its one of the best prequels ever made. But the visual storytelling in First Class has nothing on Days of Future Past. I mean, i wouldnt be surprised if James Cameron made the art direction and storyboards for DOFP. Maybe this comes down to Alien fans versus Aliens fans. I think Aliens is a much more advanced achievement than Alien
Now I'm gonna have all the great music from this movie stuck in my head all day. And that's fine by me.
Henry Jackman cooked with the soundtrack
The duality Of Eric and Charles Is obviously the main and best part of the movie. The quarter through the head while Charles has to hold him is so chilling and satisfying at the same time. He absolutely deserves punishment, but is what magneto doing, the correct way to enact justice?
it’s such a great climactic moment that makes us really question our own reaction to it, which is to think this film is so good at all round
