Ok. I need to say something. I have been traveling for over 20 years to Dubai and I always stay in Deira. Because I think it’s the most interesting part of Dubai. Although there are more affordable hotels in that area, there also very luxurious 5* hotels like JW Marriott and Al Bandar Rotana. So it’s not only cheap and dirty hotels. I was actually quite offended, because you obviously never have experienced luxury in Deira.
How the hell do you know he has 'obviously never experienced luxury in Deira'? Very stupid comment. He did not say there are no luxury hotels there, he just said they are not generally of the same standard, simple.

My fav area is al Barsha..i like staying in 4 or 3 star hotel appartment..it's always leveled 1 more star.i like walking around cause there is all i need regarding to personal needs(saloon,super markets,coffee shops,resturants, spa and more.I upgrade my day by 5 min walking to emirates mall.GREAT stays GREAT prices.
Is the Intercontinental in the Marina a good hotel to stay at for a first time visitor on a 4 day stopover? Not really interested in beaches

I will be travelling with my two children to Dubai. We will arrive at 3am. My question is is it possible to book a hotel room close to the airport to get some sleep? I just don’t want to travel with little children to the city in the night to get to a hotel. Any advice?

I want to see the gold souk in old Dubai when I go there in September, but I also want to see the Dubai mall. Is there easy public transportation between those two areas?
To clarify, I’d want to stay downtown or in old downtown, but regardless I definitely want to see both. Does the metro run through both areas?
@@sarahw6591 yes, there is even Metro station, called Gold Souk. you can easily reach this market. to stay at downtown, i would recommend Gevora, the tallest hotel in the world for very reasonable price, around 65 without tax. and other hotels are a bit expensive, if you are planning budget traveling and staying at downtown, Ibis one central could be the best option. i stayed there for two days, really clean and tidy, close to metro. free transfer to dubai mall, kite beach. this hotel offer best price at downtown i think.
