Stone Protectors is a beat 'em up video game in a British multimedia franchise trying to capitalize on the "group of badass dudes with an attitude" craze in the '90s popularized by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Toxic Crusaders. It involves a bunch of mediocre rockers who find magic stones that turn them rock star trolls that can outdo the competition. These crystals are coveted by an evil alien race called the Saurians, led by the music-hating Zok, who then invade Earth to find these rock stars, now known as the "Stone Protectors".
Technickle ( tasvideos.org/... ) plays the Japanese version for its faster loading times and abuses Cornelius's Ultra-Sonic Vocal Reverb and microphone nunchucks to beat the game as fast as possible.

Also, no matter how hard I try to understand what he says when he vomits his circles, I keep hearing:
"WAAAAAW! Queue-sèche, queue-sèche" ...which means "dry-cock" in french. The word Queue is pronounced (not quite but) more like [Kuh] for us, whereas it is pronounced [Kee-you] in english. Anyway, try it with Google Speech and see for yourself!

Is Angus really not faster? I would have thought the gun/grenades did more damage than Cornelius vocals, especially considering how fast the pistol attack comes out.

Hey bahamut!
Angus does have a gun/grenades, and is considered to be a medium strength character. However the problem comes about being slower moving than Cornelius, and his musical move takes longer than Cornelius's.
Here are the differences between the two characters:
Cornelius has 5 different attacks, three of the attacks are useful:
1. Ultra Sonic Reverb ~ Reaches enemies further out of the screen and kills them quicker.
2. Mic Toss ~ This move is used to take away health from enemies without having to knock them down, which would take longer, so I abuse the hitbox of this move to go inside of bosses and higher health enemies to kill them quicker.
3. Spin Kick/Front Kick ~ This is used for the bigger guards, particularly the ones that have the baton. The spin kick and front kick are quicker than the mic toss, but, is not always useful against other enemies, like the masked guards.
Extra attacks ~ Knee/Ground Slam/Knife ~ Not Used/Requires Grab Animation/Knife takes longer to come out, and retract.

Angus has 6 different attacks, None of which are faster:
1. Stealth Bomber ~ Turns Angus Invisible to enemies, does not damage otherwise
2. Electrical Keyboard ~ While useful, it's not faster than Cornelius's sing.
3. Bite ~ Not Useful, requires a grab animation + only effects 1 enemy at a time
4. Bazooka ~ Long Range weapon, slower to hit the target from a farther distance (if chosen to do so), and harder to hit, since it doesn't lock-on.
5. Gun ~ Long Range same as Bazooka
6. Grenades ~ Takes 2 Gun shots to activate

What about 2 Players with another Character?
