Stone Protectors is a beat 'em up video game in a British multimedia franchise trying to capitalize on the "group of badass dudes with an attitude" craze in the '90s popularized by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Toxic Crusaders. It involves a bunch of mediocre rockers who find magic stones that turn them rock star trolls that can outdo the competition. These crystals are coveted by an evil alien race called the Saurians, led by the music-hating Zok, who then invade Earth to find these rock stars, now known as the "Stone Protectors".
Technickle ( tasvideos.org/... ) plays the Japanese version for its faster loading times and plays both Cornelius the Samurai and Chester the Wrestler to quickly rid the screen of enemies and stunlock bosses in order to beat the game in record time. "I wonder what Stone Protectors is?" I said to myself, opening the vid. I took one look at the hair and the faces and instantly recognized which Franchise Family (Troll Dolls) this was made for. Looks (and sounds) like a good game, and it also turns out it's on Steam now. Neat. Also, can we all agree the ending scene with the band is cool? Nice TAS!

Only gripe is that this seems to be one of those "no boss" games. Come on if rhythm and fishing games can have a boss fight why can't Chester wrestle a heel?
