Amy Lee has always been such an amazing singer, and with the addition of the strings in this, it sounds top notch. I am not overly familiar with this track like I am some of there other songs but I enjoyed it.
As someone mentioned already, Evanescence released a new music video recently (Yeah Right), but their most recent album came out in 2021 so not too long ago. It's called The Bitter Truth.
Also off the Synthesis album, the re-imagining of ' lost in paradise ' with orchestration and Amy's incredible vocal range sends goose bumps down your spine.
When the guitars kicked in I was imagining Seth rise up from under the stage and burst out some gutturals accompanied with an onslaught of blastbeats lol Maybe it was the setting with the orchestra that conjured up that wild fantasy.. As for Amy, her vocals are always beautiful. The most "recent" (2017) song I can remember hearing, was a solo track called "Speak to Me", from the film Voice From the Stone. I'm gonna check out Evanescence's 2021 album "The Bitter Truth".
Amy Lee does what she does! Stunningly beautiful, almost hauntingly so. The way she carries that emotion live is spectacular. I find that for the reasonable shows for me to get to, it has been really worthwhile for me.
Agree, some artists when they gets older may happens that their range and voice are lighter or have more vibrato. Amy just belts and her high notes are stonger.
I always liked Evanescence but... album "Open Door" is just fantastic. I love it. Both "Lacrimosa" and "Lithium" are my fav songs of them. Well... I am gothic metal die hard fan.
I know this video is a few months old but i absolutely still listen to them. I saw them live in Denver in August of 2022, it was amazing. They're still touring and getting ready to work on new music. I've been a fan since they first became mainstream with Bring me to life.
I've never really listened to Evanescence past the videos and radio play, but I've always enjoyed what I've heard. Amy has always impressed me as a vocalist, so much so that some female fronted metal bands that came out after Evanescence I might have unfairly lumped them into a clone category. This was really cool to see, and it kinda makes me want to go see them ... but maybe not at a festival. 🤘😄 🤘
The Synthesis album was really cool in that a lot of the old favorite Evanescence songs were reimagined and redone with an orchestra. There were also 2 new songs on it, Hi & Lo (with Lindsay Stirling) and Imperfection. The Bitter Truth (2021) is a great album, there's not a single song on it that I don't like!
Was a big Amy & Evanescence fan in the day, in think her voice is even better now, wow! I did like the orchestra but i thought it a bit overpowered in places. Still i enjoyed it cuz its Amy Freakin Lee! lol ❤ and ✌️ all
I honestly thought this was going to be bland. Mind you im in an Eivor/Myrkur mood, so i had to get my mind right because it's Evanescence. It was worth it. I never heard her with a orchestra set around her. I used to rock out to her older stuff like "Going under", and whatever projects with Seether. I don't know if she's as big as she used to be or not. I've pretty much figured she'd kind of fade out by now and settle for lesser ambitious projects.
They became an independent band a decade ago that's why they stopped being so much out there.. they were doing tours and random concerts for a couple.years until 2017 when they did the orchestral/electronic album that includes lots of their songs from all their catalogue... Then they started releasing new music in 2020 with the pandemic changing plans and the order of the singles.. but they pulled off a great fucking album in 2021 called THE BITTER TRUTH. For me is one of their best albums to date, they have 5 singles in that album, last single is the one they just released in New Year's Eve called "Yeah Right "
By they way they had their biggest headlining show without an opener nor other artist in Brazil... It was an arena with over 60,000 attendance in the crowd, they have played bigger crowds in festival or coheadlining shows with other bands but that concert was their biggest concert with them being the only band in the venue. They had a very successful touring in the past two years... They started a tour with Halestorm in 2021… then went to Europe in 2022 first half of the year... Then a big big coheadlining tour with Korn during summer, then went back to Europe to a soldout tour with Within Temptation finished the year with Amy singing at the Vatican, then in 2023 they toured with Muse opening for them in lots.of.arenas in US for.like 4 months... Then went to festivals in Europe, Asia and a soldout tour in Australia.. afterwards they came to Mexico and other latin American shows, all soldout and packed of people... They have not lost any fan, their Spotify listeners per month grew.from 7millions to almost 13million listeners in the past 2 years
Thx checking my request 😊 see, now then miss the hit 😆 I rly like from synthesis album but I think The song from that album is for me Secret door. Listen that some day. Also Amy Lee - Speak to me, Halestorm feat. Amy Lee - Break In, Lindsey Stirling feat Amy Lee - Love Goes On and On...
Her voice is beautiful. The song itself was kind of mehhh for me. To be fair, this is the first I have heard from Evanescence and I'll have to listen to more to decide if I like the sound or not.
Please check out “The End of the Dream” from this concert. It is a beautiful emotional performance of a gorgeous song.
Oh that does sound good!
The strings section is from Mozarts requiem - Lacrimosa. It's hauntingly beautiful. Lacrimosa means weeping/grieving.
I always liked that song! I'm just bad at remembering names lol
@1:21 my first time hearing this aswell...... Jesus Amy Lee is a mythical siren brought to life

YESSSSS I can see it!
Yea, I never kept up. I might have to.
The amazing Amy Lee, what a voice. What a lady when you think of the sh*t she's been through.
Amy Lee does what she does! Stunningly beautiful, almost hauntingly so. The way she carries that emotion live is spectacular. I find that for the reasonable shows for me to get to, it has been really worthwhile for me.
The older she gets the richer and better her voice becomes!
Agree, some artists when they gets older may happens that their range and voice are lighter or have more vibrato. Amy just belts and her high notes are stonger.
Too bad her personality and the way she treats people didn't improve.
I always liked Evanescence but... album "Open Door" is just fantastic. I love it. Both "Lacrimosa" and "Lithium" are my fav songs of them. Well... I am gothic metal die hard fan.

Hell yea! I'm glad you still like em!
The ending is the best part because it's cut off so hard, the break up.
Their latest video is "Yeah Right" (January 1st 2024) 🤘
ohhh ok cool!
Citou Evanescence chego correndo ;) Br

Agreed! I can see the whole clone thing.

Yea, I'm curious to see how her career has gone. I did hear they put out new music.

I struggle a lot whean listening to this, because I love too much Mozart's requiem. I can't be "in" this reinterpretation, never mind !
Her voice is beautiful. The song itself was kind of mehhh for me. To be fair, this is the first I have heard from Evanescence and I'll have to listen to more to decide if I like the sound or not.
I can see that. I didn't really feel like I'd want to watch this alot.
