I love your videos…well I have learned from this video that my Samsung is on the “High end” models…I cannot remember what I paid for it, but remember it being quite pricey…and obviously that doesn’t make a difference…because it is 4 years old and BROKEN! I try to keep all my replacement parts as original as possible. Even with my car repairs, I like to use original parts in order to keep the specs of the tv on point.

@@Mitchfaberskateboarding if the tv is 12 years old it may not be an LED tv. It may have those miniature fluorescent tubes for backlights. If that is the case, no you won’t find any replacement for those. Does this tv have two ballast inside?
I have one. It’s for LG which not that different from a Samsung

What does a black screen thats just flashing white mean? Power button does nothing,just flashes a red light under power button on tv, does this as soon as i plug in power cord. Is that a known issue with common tv issues for y'all who are a bit more familiar with tv repairs, as far as what causes that specific problem? Or is it more complex than that and it could be anything or many different things that could be causing the flashing white on black screen? Novice here but confident in learning. I got this tv for free from a neighbor who has the money to just buy a new bigger & better one & was setting it out on curb, so I'm not expecting it to be an easy fix,just hopeful it will be. Motivated to do this, it's for my Mama who's not had a tv for over 15 years, and didn't have one my entire childhood either. Doing my research and ran cross this video,you seem to have better knowledge,way better descriptions than most others posting videos on Samsung TV repairs, figure ide ask you first.

It can't be repaired and the cost of replacing with a new panel in not economical. Cheaper to replace with a new tv.
