D.O.R.F. Real-Time Strategic Conflict is an RTS game for PC, currently in development, taking inspiration from classic RTS games of the 90’s, while also expanding on the genre with new and innovative mechanics. The game will feature land, air and sea combat, and will have three unique factions to play as.

@@sakib9102 Early Access is tempting, for obvious reasons, though it's also something of a dirty word. We're not sure at this point if we'd go that route.
@@gandhiusz233 Most likely. We just placed priority on the Steam page since Steam gets far more traction than GOG does.

as someone who played KKND, Red alert 2, and starcraft, this is my dreams come true, I truly CANNOT wait for the release

First time I've seen KKND referenced on the internet. Played that bad boy from the LEVEL magazine CD. Insane game. You must've touched Dark Reign 1 & 2 as well if you played that.
I didnt play Dark Reign 1 and 2, first time hearing it. I was introduced to RTS games (or just computer games overall) by my dad, he was a big geek. he could have played Dark Reign, I cant know
I don’t know how many times I watch this trailer but the desire to play it only increases

the art direction of this is so good 😍
I really dig the art direction. Every vehicle and building looks like repurposed heavy industrial machinery that's been neglected for decades
I'm loving the game! That "Warband" faction looks so cool! I'm a big fan of that scrapyard/Mad Max-like style and it's always fun to play with those fast/mobile factions like GLA, Nod's bikes, zergs, etc.
They even seem to have bike units too❤
The Animations for each of the units in this game are looking great.
Not to mention the barracks in the trailer looks great.
As a fan of the classic RTS games, i am looking forward to this game.

Looks amazing. The old-school vibe is definitely here but it has its own unique look and feel so it doesn't look like any old clone. Can't wait to try it out.

I am so excited for this game, you guys are checking all the boxes. Even though I have to wait, I hope your team is able to take the time they want and polish it into something special (From the videos so far, that looks to be the direction it's headed).
One feature I would adore to see, is a set of commander powers a-la C&C Generals for the campaign, possibly multiplayer as well if balancing them isn't a nightmare.
There will be "commander powers", insofar as there are things like airstrikes and certain call-ins you can "purchase".

This game is literally my childhood brain working and imagining the coolest game which is a mix of all the strategy (and other genres) games i played back then

I didn't clearly catch an attack-move command being used, that's my first and foremost question when considering if I'd want to play a modern-day RTS.

Haven´t played a lot of RTS in my life, and I missed some games like the Red Alert series. This game look like modern successor of that, and love every second of it so far.

There's lots of little bugs like that; another thing that needs to be fixed is making units smarter, so that units will not fire into blocking obstacles, and will check to see if they have a clear shot before firing.
@@dorf-rts That's actually quite the thing in itself that you've made it so that objects actually block projectiles. I don't recall seeing height in terrain yet, so I wonder how you'll be handling that with regards to clear line of fire.
@@inzane456 Technically height exists in the engine, and there are some cliff and sloped tile sprites, however I never use them as the level editor does not allow me to place them (yet), and also there's not yet support for sprites to tilt when moving up or down slopes, which looks very strange.
@@dorf-rts I'd have expected OpenRA to have support for tilting sprites at this point, but I guess it isn't quite there yet. I suppose it would be quite the task to make slopes work with the super sized units you've got that go beyond 1x1 tiles.
@@inzane456 None of the C&C games used tilt sprites (TS and RA2 used voxels for units that can tilt), so it was never included.
More annoying is OpenRA's level editor is so basic it doesn't include auto-LAT for terrain, meaning I have to fill in transitionary tiles manually, which is a massive pain. The level editor is something we're going to totally revise soon-ish, since it just sucks to use right now and is a major roadblock to having actually nice looking maps.
Maybe its the Starsector of the RTS ? .. This Will be on my to watch list.
