This controller supports Android but the Android version of Genshin Impact does not support controllers💀. For Genshin Impact on Switch, its either the Switch hardware is too difficult to port or Sony has a contract exclusive deal for the game. I did remember that this game is part of Sony's/PS "China Hero Project", where they fund games to be available on PS.
this controller is based on the regular 8Bitdo Ultimate 2.4g Wireless Controller and that one isn't switch compatible either, one of the reason is probably the xbox button layout, but yea is still weird because the ultimate Bluetooth (switch compatible) version comes with the Nintendo button layout and it works with windows
The 2.4ghz is cheaper at $50 than bluetooth at $70 (though you can get it cheaper), that's why there are less features. 2nd the 2.4ghz model doesn't have hall effect sticks, so that's a deal breaker.
The 2.4ghz version does have a dedicated swtich mode, however you do have to remap the face buttons in the switch controller settings to match the nintendo button layout.
Genshin is horribly optimized for the PS4 as is, I can't see it not running poorly if they tried to put it on the Switch. Unless someone who still has to play it on PS4 wants to weigh in and it has been improved in the last 2 years.
@@aguandfriends it is not. I managed to configure p1 and p2 in Genshin. Even the charged shot or charged skill works. I find the configuration very simple and intuitive. If you are having trouble with this then look for tutorials.

Probably the second. Switch is just a smartphone with a OS that's not android. It can't be that hard to port

Im pretty sure there are 2 versions of the 8Bitdo Ultimate Controller, one of them works with the Switch if i remember correctly.

It doesn't. This was released prior to them updating their controllers to hall effect.

I have the controller in its ultimate bluetooth version, and the P1 and P2 triggers don't work in Genshin Impact. Anyone else having this problem?
