That is so good, when I am on the street ministering I hit all those points because I am ministering to myself as well as the person. Then I walk away and that's it. If I am not willing to walk with that person through the struggle then what good did I do.
“You are better than this” is not how Jesus went about. But he sure have a way for Grace that made people, as he still does, see how away we are from Him and how great his love is for us. We have NO NEW IDENTITY unless we turn to God in repentance. Identity comes after believing what God has done through Jesus.

Repentance- change your mind about who God is, see Him for who He says He is, turn to Him and away from your entire old self!
