Well, 8:00 just made me bawl my eyes out. Pretty sure she was talking about me there. I was indeed in the front row in Nijmegen on the last tour, and while she was singing the closing double-chorus of True, our eyes met and she reached for me. Because I'm in a wheelchair and the stage was quite high, she had to lay on her stomach to reach for me. How she was able to belt out those lyrics perfectly while in such an uncomfortable position is beyond me, and is a true testament to her talent. What she describes isn't an exaggeration, in fact, she was downplaying it quite a bit. It was indeed magic. It felt like 2 damaged souls recognising each others' scars and giving each other permission to finally let go and move on, and becoming the better versions of themselves they have always strived to be. Amaranthe came into my life at the tipping point of a decade-long downwards spiral, and this was the first moment when I discovered that the battle onwards is an uphill one. That moment was when the last 8 years of my life came full circle. I hope that one day, I'll be able to meet her again and tell her just how much she has helped me by simply showing her true colours and allowing me to show mine. That woman is simply magic.

Ridiculously talented singer! The days of the drugged out acid rocker is over. The new age metal is so deep and the artists are actually very passionate artists! As an old time rocker, Im enjoying the new crop of metal at least as much as I ever loved older bands like Sabbath or Maiden.
