Thanks for not over hyping Sweetheart Cherry. That was also my experience with its performance, the cherry dissipating right away. In my opinion someone shouldn’t get it unless they want a pistachio-vanilla scent.
Agreed! I like Sweetheart Cherry for that reason. I’m not the biggest Cherry fan, but Sweetheart Cherry I can tolerate
I hear ya...I'm kind of surprised people are loving the Sweetheart Cherry as much as I've been hearing online, not because I don't think it's good but...man it makes me wish they could smell some of the scents they were releasing around 2015-2018. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but upon reflection of those years I feel like everything was so good that they released during that time frame. Even the ones that aren't normally me-scents seemed to be really well thought out and crafted in such a way that I just haven't been seeing in their recent releases. But agreed, to me it's a pistachio treat with a hint of cherry in the beginning. 🧁🍒

I love sweetheart cherry already use up 2 mist and a cream. I have 5 backups of the mist and I think i could use 3 more. 😊❤
I've already used a full set of sweetheart cherry! I just got a back up from SAS. Usually I don't use a fragrance that fast unless I absolutely love it!

I just got back from the store, so I can weigh in! I love Black Cherry Merlot. I do pull a little more of the merlot note from the spray (2023), whereas the cream (2021) smells like fruit. I don't feel like the spray lasts very long on my skin, but it does on my clothes.
Sweet Heart Cherry is a pass for me. The mist was nice at first. The cream was immediately ick. I walked around the store and could still smell cherry in the spray, but it was gone when I got to my car. I never got cherry from the cream. I don't think the other notes worked with my body chemistry.
Black Cherry Merlot is like black cherry Kool-aid or Jell-o, and Firecracker Pop is like regular cherry Kool-Aid. I'm okay with that! Lol
I finally tried Calypso Clementine, too. It doesn't pull woodsy on me, but it's very cologne-like. That one's a pass for me, too.
Ohh that's interesting that you pull more of the merlot note. I might not know what merlot smells like, but to me I pull 100% fruit scent, which I'm okay with! 😁 I like fruity, especially more ever since last year I've noticed. Yeah, I wonder if that's kind of what happened with me and the Sweetheart Cherry body cream too...it's like my chemistry didn't want to pull the notes it needed to from it and kinda turned celery instead. 🤣

We must have similar body chemistry! Calypso Clementine turned cologne-like on me on dry down. Jose smelled my arm and thought I was wearing a men's scent! 😅 Oops!
@@MelissaC I don't know what merlot smells like, either, but I got there through process of elimination. Lol. It's like musky grape juice, but not in a bad way. I don't know how else to describe it.
Does José like Calypso Clementine for himself? Or is it totally different on him?
Hi Melissa!! I really love sweetheart cherry. It honestly lasts on me for awhile but I tend to really overspray and I layer of course. The shower gel is super strong to me! Definitely need a backup of that one!
I am enjoying Sweetheart Cherry so much! I also enjoy Black Cherry Merlot. The two are so different as far as scents go I can’t pick a favorite. 🍒
We both had a very similar experience with both scents, you did a wonderful job describing both scents. I wore Sweetheart Cherry to celebrate Mike and I’s 18th anniversary. For Valentine’s Day I may wear it again, I have decided yet. 💕

Hi Melissa! I feel like both are nothing alike. I love Black Cherry Merlot. I prefer it over Sweet Heart Cherry. I've had it in the home fragrance as well. I picked up the mist during the fall season last year as it's been awhile since I had it in my collection. To me, last year's version is not as long lasting as it was in the past, but it's still good. It's one of my favorites. Black Cherry Merlot to me has a deeper cherry note and this one to me is more on the perfume spectrum. It's sweeter. I think because to me it's more on the perfume spectrum it's longer lasting. The longevity of Sweet Heart Cherry is not the greatest. The cherry note is gone within minutes if you apply it to your skin. It's slightly better on clothing, but even then the longevity is not the greatest. The name is misleading. Sweet Heart Cherry should've been called, "Pistachio Vanilla" I no longer have Chocolate Covered Cherries to compare. I do want to obtain Sweet Heart Cherry in the body wash at some point though. I've been pairing Sweet Heart Cherry with Vanilla Bean Noel and I love the combination. It's definitely not my favorite cherry fragrance BBW has released. I just think overall they could've done a better job with it.
Agreed, I found them to be very different as well. I think it's the people who are pulling the cherry note stronger in their body chemistry that must be thinking it smells like Black Cherry Merlot. My chemistry seemed to bring out the nuttiness of the pistachio to the foreground. I'll have to try it on clothes like you said, and I bet it smells really good paired with Vanilla Bean Noel! I bet I could try it with Christmas Cookies as well!
I think the packaging for Sweetheart Cherry is so cute. Unfortunately, the scent doesn't live up to it for me. It smells so good on opening, but I need that cherry to stick around and it doesn't (even when I layer the cream and the spray). The pistachio note doesn't smell great on my skin and after about 10 min, that's all I get. 🫤 My favorite B&BW cherry scents are Sugared Cherry Crisp and Firecracker Pop.

It is cute! I like cutesy packaging like that the most! 🎀🍒 I hear ya...I was expecting more cherry myself, but thankfully I like the smell of pistachio on my skin. I looove Firecracker Pop, and regretfully I never got the chance to smell Sugared Cherry Crisp. From what I can tell, I would have probably loved that one! 🥧
Frankly I'm disappointed with SHC. It's definitely cherry 4ward but doesn't last not 1 bit and the other notes are not well balanced enough to enjoy them. We shouldn't always have to layer to enjoy a scent & I have the bcream & the mist and it still doesn't last not even 2gether. The pistachio note doesn't come through not even after the dry down on me. If each note was anywhere near as balanced & long lasting like they did Sugar Cherry Crisp, they would've hit the scent jackpot. I'm so glad I have my Sugar Cherry Crisp & I will never get rid of it bcuz that scent is 1 of the "poster child's" for a very well balanced, equally proportioned delicious smelling gourmand goodie js. If they can do it with that scent, they can do it with the rest of them as well.
I like black cherry merlot in hand soap but not so much in the body care 🤷🏼♀️ but love the sweetheart cherry in body care 🍒 I have the spray mist and waiting on the body cream 📦 you look beautiful Melissa 😍 thanks for your video 🤗💕
Sweetheart Cherry reminded me too much of Sugared Cherry Crisp from a few years ago which I did not care for. I do love pistachio scents just wasnt in love with Sweetheart cherry. Wish they would do a banana or blueberry scent again. They do those notes really well. 🍒

I never got the chance to smell Sugared Cherry Crisp sadly, I bet it would have been a good one to compare to Sweetheart Cherry like you mentioned! Agreed, a banana and/or blueberry desserty fragrance would be so much fun to see! 🧁 Now that they're moving onto tropical already, I feel like we skipped over the gourmand category we often get during this time of year from BBW!
Merlot alone sounds like it would be a complex scent to master…
But also kind of lol at the celery notes 😅
Yeah, I feel like when they have whiskey or bourbon fragrances I smell the boozy note but with Merlot, I don't really detect it. And yum, celery perfume...🤣

Thanks Melissa. I regret not getting Black Cherry Merlot when it was still available. 😅 I'm curious with the scent because I've been seeing the mist so many times. If they will have a lower sale for mist like $4.95, I might get the Sweetheart Cherry

I like the scent. The opening is super similar to Firecracker Pop but not the dry down. The cherry is lovely but fleeting... By the time its dry the cherry is gone. I become kinda nose blind to the fragrance in the spray but the cream is very sweet with almost a brown sugar note to me. I think it will add to layering combo, but its not a powerhouse of lasting by any means. Thanks for the review!
Firecracker Pop has been a fave of mine especially since last summer, so now I'll have to smell Sweetheart Cherry again with F.C.P in mind! 🍧🍒 Agreed on it being a lovely fragrance, but not a powerhouse!
Black Cherry Merlot is an all time fave.Of course, I bought Sweetheart Cherry!(both in candles)
I should grab it in the candle, I smelled it in candle form at the store and really liked it on cold!

I ❤ B & BW Cherry scents. I don't have choc covered cherry. I have been looking for a cherry perfume & have found that even the most expensive perfumes have trouble w/the longevity of the cherry note.
Thanks for the insight on perfumes with cherry notes all having the longevity issue. The cherry fragrance that gives me the most pow experience so far is Firecracker Pop by BBW, that's my fave and it smells strong to me! 🍒 The Cherry in Sweetheart Cherry definitely did not last for me.

The cream of sweetheart cherry smells exactly like the shea cashmere hand cream fun years ago. I wanted to love it but the cherry goes away immediately.
I find the sweetheart cherry mist lasts about 5 mins. It’s very weak!
I'm nose blind after 5 minutes. People can still smell after 8 hours!
I smelled it strong on initial spray but it burned away so quickly to me too!
