I'm living for the Calypso Clementine only because it reminds me so much of Wild Sand with a citrus note. It's definitely similar to me for sure. And it smells better in the mist and shower gel than the creams in my opinion.
I picked up the fine fragrance mist in the full size this weekend during the $5.95 sale. I love this one. With my body chemistry it smells like an orange creamsicle. It's sweet on my skin. I do not get a woodsy note. I would like to get this one in the body wash eventually. I always suggest people to try for themselves and if they can in store even better. Agreed, everyone's body chemistry is different. I also tell people not be afraid to mix their fragrances. I'm liking Jolly Gingerbread Village more since I have been layering it with Whipped Coconut Milkshake.
That sounds so good, I wish it smelled like a creamsicle on me! 😍 I love sweet orange scents, but this one ended up spicy on me! I'd be curious to try it in the spray and body wash to see if it smells more sweet/fruity in my skin of those forms! And that sounds like a really good pairing to wear Jolly Gingerbread Village with Whipped Coconut Milkshake! 🥥
@@MelissaC It's weird with Calypso Clementine with my body chemistry. When it dries down I still get a orange scent, but I also get a vanilla scent. So far I'm loving it.
Fresh getaway was not memorable to me. To take things way back, which I think you’ll appreciate, Calypso reminds me of either orange sapphire or mango mandarin. I don’t remember mango as much, but orange sapphire was one of my favorites so I appreciate Calypso!

Thank you so much for this video, I LOVE Calypso Clementine, but kept thinking it was like Gingham Fresh, but that wasn't quite right... you nailed it.... it is much more similar to Fresh Getaway. I was going to buy a back up during the weekend sale, but am holding out for the return of Hello Beautiful and a travel size of Waikiki Beach Coconut for summer.
I wish I had the same experience as you with Calypso Clementine. The coastal woods is really strong on the dry down for me. To the point I really don’t enjoy the scent on my skin. 😕 I have to say, Fresh Getaway was not a scent I really enjoyed either. It smelled super fresh on me when I’d first apply it, but it turned bitter as it dried down for me. Body chemistry can really change a scent.
Bath & Body Works did have an amazing aromatherapy scent called Neroli Blossom & Bergamot. It was out in the earlier part of 2023. The bottle says uplifting boost on it and it’s label is and orangey coral sort of color. I like to use the essential oil mist in our bedroom recently to make things feel more like spring. Coco Paradise had a sugared neroli note in it. I’m not really having any other Bath & Body Works scents pop into my head with that note in it.

That is exactly what happened to me on both scents! It's funny because it wasn't until a couple of hours later from filming that I was like, "Why do I keep getting a whiff if something like men's cologne" and I finally figured out it was from me sampling the lotions! 😂 Even after washing my hands throughout the day. Oooh yes I remember now that you mention it. Sometimes I forget about those Aromatherapy scents, but now that you reminded me, a lot of their citrus aromatherapy scents are similar to this! 🍊

I have the full size mist and body cream and a travel size shower gel. I haven’t actually worn it yet but just spraying it on my wrist it reminds me more of Sunshine Mimosa than Fresh Getaway. I liked both of those scents so I’m happy with Calypso Clementine.
Definitely a Spring scent for me so I’ll wait and pull it out when the weather warms up…can’t wait for that 😂

Hi Mel! I found out I liked Peach Bellini better than CC. I love Fresh Getaway though. Also I believe Coco Paradise had neroli!
I adore In The Sun!!! I have one mist and lotion left. I think a lot of people hated it 😂
I love Calypso Clementine, and prefer it over Peach Bellini, which was always my favorite candle scent, just not on my body.
Fresh Getaway is like the aquatic cousin of CC. Perfect cruise ship scent.
Golden Clementine & Amber is like the fall version of CC, warmed by the amber.
You have to enjoy the woody notes, to appreciate CC. But, I'm diggin' it so far.🧡🍊🏵🥭🍂🍁🦔🪵

I like Calypso Clementine more because to my nose it is more fruity/citrusy than Fresh Getaway. But they are similar!
I'm glad you agree with me that they are similar! Agreed, if a scent is going to have citrus in it, I want it to be the main feature! 🍊
I like Calypso Clementine more as well . My dad is from the Caribbean, and there is no disconnect to me , islands like Cuba, Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad are all about the bright splashes of colour and scent, orange, papaya, mango. The more coconut and pineapple scents evoke a more Pacific island vibe to me , Hawaii, Polynesian etc. I really liked Fresh Get Away, my favorite of its cohorts when it was released, I did purchase items in the scent. Calypso Clementine is the only one that I really like out of the new releases this year, so far I only have one FFM, as I wanted to see how it worked with my body chemistry. I also think that CC is similar to BBW'S Sunshine Mimosa....
@@PodieM18 That is great feedback about what scents/flavors go to which islands! Thanks for sharing! 🤗🌴 When it comes to what you said about the splashes of color I think they nailed it conceptually with the packaging. As for how it ended up smelling on my skin, it didn't smell of any island to me because it turned more into a spicy clean laundry fragrance! 🤣 But I'm thinking it was more of a body chemistry issue.
@@MelissaC Fresh Get Away gave me the fresh, clean laundry vibe, Calypso Clementine gives me more island 🏝️😅 / My one main complaint, is that like most BBW releases over the last 3 or 4 years the scent has so little staying power, you literally can't really smell it 2 hours after you have absolutely doused yourself in the stuff 😂 - Calypso Clementine seems to be no exception there, very weak staying power....
@@PodieM18 So true! The lotion lasted okayish on my hand after trying it, but not in its entirety. I wanted the Clementine to last and it didn't. 😣 I think everyone agrees that they just don't seem to last like they used to, so weird.
My youngest niece’s name is Calypso. :) I also have another niece named Gwen so I’m going to pick up the “Gwen’s note” candle for her. :)
Calypso Clementine comes off very woody and masculine on my skin. It is wild how different body chemistry changes expressions of the fragrances. I like Fresh Getaway better. CC reminds me of Golden Eclipse.
I tested the Calypso Clementine in the store but decided against purchasing because it was to woody for me. I like my orange super sweet and this wasn't quite sweet enough for me. I didn't care for Fresh Getaway two yrs ago either, so this comparison makes sense to me. Interesting video, thanks! I totally agree with you on the confusing name vibes from this scent.
I feel the same way, the spicy/woody/floral notes ended up being the main feature of both Calypso Clementine and Fresh Getaway when it was on my skin, and I prefer it sweet and fruity like you do! 😊

I own both and they’re different on my skin. I thought Calypso Clementine was going to be heavier on neroli but it’s not. It reminds me of picking tangerines in my mom’s garden! So realistically juicy. While I’m sure if you line up all the citrus scents, you can find similarities, I really liked this version.😊
I got the travel size in the cream and the spray. When I first put it on I think, ok not bad, but in a short amount of time I'm thinking "ick" and wish I hadn't put it on. Same thing both times I tried it. I was also not a fan of Fresh Getaway. Something about clementine doesn't work with my skin. I really wanted to love it because I'm a huge citrus lover, but it's a no for me. It also reminds me of Sweet Magnolia & Clementine from that southern collection six or seven years ago, although that was much sweeter.
I ordered travel size online. I find the Coastal Woods leans too masculine. My husband likes it & I like it on him. I haven't tried Fresh Getaway.
Jose thought the same thing, it smells like something a guy would enjoy! He used to love White Citrus for men back when they carried that one! 🍊
I still haven't been to the store to smell Calypso Clementine, but I think it'll be a pass for me. I was really hoping for a tropical fruit scent that had clementine at the forefront. Why the coast woods? Ugh. And there's a Kiwi & Starfruit scent that's coming that has a woods note in it, too. 😝
I read some reviews of Peach Bellini that said it's more orange than peach. I normally pass on peach scents, but now I want to try that one on.
I don't mind Fresh Getaway, but it's not my favorite. I plan on using mine up next month as a night time scent.

Calypso Clementine smells like an orange Creamsicle to me. I picked a body cream as my gratis 🍊 I enjoy the smell, but just not on me, lol. Fresh Getaway has my vote on this one.

I was really excited for the Bodyspray, because another B&BW RUclipsr said it smells exactly like Tangerines. I'm not sure if my nose is not nosing, but this smells nothing like this. It smells like some perfume for men mixed with a hint of sparkling orange spritz. Why would they do that? Sad thing, in my country, I can't even return it. 🫠 The Handsoap and Sanitizer smell much better. But not as fruity and tangerine like I hoped for. 😢
