Great video, I’m currently thinking about buying a north river boat that is 20+ yrs old. It’s in great shape with super low hours. Only problem is I need to purchase motors for it. I really like your bow with that beautiful anchor and winch. That’s something I will definitely be planning on upgrading.
Thank you I appreciate your support. Yes North River they build very durable. Nice boats. If I would have to buy another boat, I would buy another North River. 👍
Very nice, congratulations. I just fished on a friends yesterday that is the same hull but not a hardtop. He just had a folding tower installed so he has more rod storage and radar. I have a 2300C with the same motor set up as you, my cabin door is a slider. I would guess that you will have better fuel mileage than I get being your hull is lighter. Under the best of conditions when trimmed perfectly I can manage 2.5mpg according to the Yamaha digital gauge. Top speed according to my Garmin MFD is right at 50mph. I mounted a Discoverey Bay Alaskan crab pot davit in the location of your stbd side custom rod holder. They have the same type of mount that attaches to the deck and gunwale. I am contacting a metal fabricator to build an extension pole for me so I can use the crab pot hauler to lift and load kayaks on top of my cabin roof. Good luck with your new North River! I my family and all of my friends absolutely love mine. Cheers 🍻
Congratulations on your new boat. Seems like we have the same taste. I would love to see pictures of your boat and the accessories you installed. Thank you for your support.
@@fishhunt9874 well get to it! It’s only been 9 months 😂 jk I’m super interested as I’m buying my first boat 🛥️ and it’s a seahawk 2300c. Or atleast that’s what it looks like from matching pictures on the website. This boat is 20+ years old and has been less than 1000 hrs on it. It needs an engine tho but I think I’ll pick up a preowned mercury from the local dealer. I would like to build a davit to load a small dinghy row boat style on the top. Just something to access remote beaches without bringing the boat in too shallow.
@@Lahainalongboarder I have a lot going on right now and Kayaking on the ocean where I currently live is not high on my to do list. We probably have the highest White Shark population density on the planet. Monterey Bay is loaded with them. Instead my next project is installing auto pilot and a 1KW low frequency transducer. I currently run a 1KW High Wide and a 500-600W down and side scan transducers. I bought electric reels for deep drop fishing so I need the low freq for the 100+fathom depths. We have black cod which live in the 200+ fathom depths. As far as the davit goes, look up “Discovery Bay Marine”. They use schedule 80 aluminum pipe and I think it would be a simple thing to build an extension to slip in between the motor and the current upper boom assembly. The whole boom can rotate to swing or you can pin it in a fixed position. Good luck with your new boat.
That is a really good question. In PNW, water is not as salty as in East Coast (Gulf of Mexico). Due to the water being a lot more saltier in the East Coast, you need to apply a special coating on the bottom of the boat. I live in the PNW, I apply "salt away, salt remover" and then hose down my boat with fresh water after each trip.
I went to multiple boat shows before the pandemic. I checked out Raider, Alumaweld, Alumacraft, Hewescraft, Thunder Jet, RH boats, Duckworth, Staybicraft, Silver streak, Wooldridge, Defiance, and Spartan Boats. There are all good boats, but North River stood out to me more and the price was right.
Long ago I went to the North River show room to look for a boat. When North River refused to sell me a boat because I had the Marine Chevrolet 402 BB engine, I wanted the boat built with, I went home then in a week started to build the boat I wanted, and I completed the open jet boat with my 1969 Chevrolet 402 Big block. My gain of a nice jet boat I wanted and a mega loss in a boat sale for North River. I build all my own boats now and have a new boat 80% done in the driveway. Why deal with rude SOB idiots!
Yes, I did test drive Stabicraft. It runs really good and is very good quality boat, but also more expensive and has less space on the inside. When it comes to resale, You’re not going to get your money back. I did talk to a lot of good friends who’s in boat business and they told me to stay away.
Thank you for your support. I have nothing against GMC or Chevy pick up trucks when it comes to comfort and power I prefer Ford F350 6.7L power stroke diesel that’s what I’m currently driving and I love it.
We're calling you out - which boat brand is better than the one he chose!? If it's more money, then it's not really that much better of a boat - for the money.
Congrats on the new boat, looks awesome!
Thank you!
Very nice boat.
Congratulations and wishing you a nice fishing trip and waiting for the next video.
Good luck.
Thank you Stan for all of the welding work you did for my family.

Did you make your cleaning table or did you purchase it?
I have the very same set up and am looking for a bait/rigging table.
I bought it with the boat Three Rivers Marine, it’s in accessories. I’ll send you the link. They do have a bit little table available to.
Their website for the accessories are down right now is soon as they fix it I will send you the link.
Hope I am not asking a stupid question. Can this boat be used on saltwater?

What a beauty, please if that's not a secret how much it costs with this setup, I'm shopping around and don't know what to get yet,
I spent around $126K before the prices went up. Electronic package and accessories are not included.

What’s it draft?
