Not only do I want to buy one now, but the video was so entertaining because of the hilarious accuracy of the guy demonstrating the instrument! 5 Stars! Dude! Lol!
Having a 16 track sequencer (am finding sequencing on a mac a real creativity -killer) is a deal breaker from me -but this salesman is so cool -he almost sold me the "band in a box" concept as more fruitful.
I have allready compared this microArranger with my old Pa80. They have it here in a music store and I can tell the sounds are the same quality, the sequencer is similar to Pa80 and almost all the function features. The midi files and styles i played on that little thing ( :) ok, it's smaller) sounds same as my old keyboard. It does not have a HDD options but you don't need it as long you have USB on it. So, it worth all the money, specially if you have little kids with little preatty fingers :)
Between Yamaha and Korg I always choose Korg. More natural sounds, and the fact that it has 2 players built in, helps you to play as a dj has, mixing between songs that has similar beats and tempos, that helps me a lot in my gigs. I have a PA80 and last week i got a Pa3X. Now I think to sell my old PA80, but it allready has a sentimental value, beeing one of the first that Korg company produced, one of the 3 first camed into my country more than twelve years ago so I'm not verry sure yet to sell
Steve, can you please do some tutorials on how to edit styles and how to use the sequencer, or maybe just an overview of the structure of the arranger that might help us wrap our heads around how it works. I love this keyboard - having lots of fun with it, but I am lost on a few things and would love your help with them. Thanks
Wow it's almost like you talked about me through the whole video!! I have two Studio setups in my living room one of them is all completely MIDI and the other was a 24 track Tascam 2488 Neo. and I can't seem to get into the creative mode and stay in it because exactly what you said it seems like it's nothing but work and that's why I go back to playing video games. and you know what? It makes me NOT even get INTO creative mode anymore. it's almost like my creative switch was turned off and I can't turn it back on anymore. :-(
Steve McNally is cool. I like his style. Very laid back easy going guy. I got a microstation, but im thinking of getting the microarranger. I like the synth sounds in the microstation and i doubt the microarranger has them. decisions decisions.
I have a korg sp250. I was wondering what would be my best buy to midi something to it so that i can play styles and do one man band nursing home shows. Should I just get a sound module, or a whole new keyboard
Smart move from Korg. It's small with lots of great sounds. and a affordable.. I have the pa50. and i find the sound processing engine is far more powerful than any Yamaha psr model.
Even though the Korg microARRANGER is a discontinued item now, would you happen to know if Korg could provide a way for me to purchase new one straight out of the box (without having to go through eBay, Reverb, or Etsy)?
i guess it depends on what size your hands are if you have small hands the keys might not be so bad ? i bought one paid 300 off ebay waiting for it to arrive cant wait im so anxious to actually see if this thing sounds good im wondering how it will compare to my yamaha psr 2000
+Matti Tapani I would have guessed early '90s. So...pretty close. Either way, it sounds very cheesy. Which isn't necessarily always a bad thing, but the aesthetic potential of the infomercial sound is pretty limited. It sounds undeniably like cheap library music.
Tasteful Tuna It does have many great sounds too (strings especially) and you can edit them in many ways. Lots of functionality and the best sounding arranger at this pricepoint, I think. But Korg should really upgrade this with a new model that has the sound-engine of more recent boards.
This keyboard seems to have everything i want (except for the lack of audio recording), but how to save songs in wav or mp3 if you just have an ordinary computer set up with usb connections? (I don't see anything about this in the manual).
Can it re-voice the auto accomp on the preset style/rhythms? I'm also wondering if you can turn on/off individual instrument tracks in the preset rhythms? I know on the Yamaha psr e453 you can, but you cant change the voice played in the rhythm.
Yeah, he is a nice demonstrator. Korg has many awesome sounds!! But, to be honest I don't like all of them. By the way, how much money are you willing to spend on a mid range arranger? I could suggest some models to you :) Greetings
I have a question SweetwaterSound , I am new to all this. I bought my first korg liverpool and i want to know how to load new programs, performances, and styles to my keyboard. How can I do it?
That EXIT sign in the background is pretty tired. Time to repair or replace it. Sorry for being so off track here, but I am a retired hospital electrical maintenance worker. Retired...but still 'there'...likely for life, unfortunately hahaha.
Hi JiriAdil77. You can program an Arabic scale in real time, by assigning a footswitch or a pad to the “Quarter Tone” function. Another way of changing the scale is assigning it to a Performance or Single Touch Setting (STS), but this is the most convenient way to change the pitch in real time.
Seems gimicky. I don't see myself getting inspired by listening to factory preset music. I do like the review video though, it helps people out and that is deff appreciated!

Love this demo, thank you so much. Steve, you're cracking me up with your subtle humor and love your gentle vibes...

the best demo ever. Steve, you are great.

best demo I've seen so far. Bravo :)
Please make Korg Micro Arranger 2 (korg pa600), with 4 octave normal tuts size, and still have a midi port, and will boom
Very good video and great product for the money.
This is really nice!

It is really nice as a writing tool.
I have no problem with them. When i switch to regular keys they feel/look HUGE! lol But I love the full range 61 key board even with the smaller keys.
Do all the sounds sound like a 90s infomercial, or just these ones? I'm noticing the same thing with the demos for the microSTATION.
+Tasteful Tuna Well, the soundsource of MicroArranger is originally from late 90's.
+Matti Tapani I would have guessed early '90s. So...pretty close. Either way, it sounds very cheesy. Which isn't necessarily always a bad thing, but the aesthetic potential of the infomercial sound is pretty limited. It sounds undeniably like cheap library music.

@Robstafarian Nice.. i go the Microstation as a controller.. great sounds onboard too.

If you don't have one ....get one!!! I love mine!
great video! This guy is dead on!
Hi everyone,
do you know if this product can be used with PC for music production via computer studio etc. ?
hi how would you compare this lil thing to psr 2000 yamaha sound wise? this pretty much sounds the same as the pa 50 right?
Yeah, he is a nice demonstrator. Korg has many awesome sounds!! But, to be honest I don't like all of them. By the way, how much money are you willing to spend on a mid range arranger? I could suggest some models to you :) Greetings

hace cuantos años salió a la venta este teclado
What is the difference KORG KORG Pa50 with the microARRANGER? Apart from the zoom! thanks
Do you know how to read fast the midi files from sd card, bcoz when i play a midi files it delays about 4 sec, sometime 8 sec. Any idea?
Which class SD card are you using?
the only difference i would say is its sdcard slot is behind the keyboard and start button is on top of it
That EXIT sign in the background is pretty tired. Time to repair or replace it. Sorry for being so off track here, but I am a retired hospital electrical maintenance worker. Retired...but still 'there'...likely for life, unfortunately hahaha.
Mono. Nice.
A qualidade dos teclados YAMAHA S710 / S910 é visivelmente superior!!!!!!!
Nice speech
Why is the program button say progam?
i want to make drum tracks.. How do i make drum tracks.. the manual is horrible.. can you walk me through that or make a video
ciao posso aggiungere o aggiustare testi sui midifile grazie.
Hi tesca 23. Which texts and which MIDI file do you mean?
@@sweetwater si quelli che scorrono in sincronia con la musica grazie ciao
Can anyone...any one tell me how to maintain the tempo while I switch from one style to another in real time...
There is a global setting for that. Check the manual.
Hello, please tell me if it has arabic scale
Hi JiriAdil77. You can program an Arabic scale in real time, by assigning a footswitch or a pad to the “Quarter Tone” function. Another way of changing the scale is assigning it to a Performance or Single Touch Setting (STS), but this is the most convenient way to change the pitch in real time.
Can we just hear it through the speakers ? I suspect you have it going through a $3000 amp
Hi Kevin, what you're hearing is the L/R Audio Outs of the microArranger going directly into the L/R Ins of the video camera. Thanks for watching!
this is the 'more portable' version hahaha of the heavier PA-50SD.
@Robstafarian Seems like you're a synth guy..
Seems gimicky. I don't see myself getting inspired by listening to factory preset music.
I do like the review video though, it helps people out and that is deff appreciated!
Then edit the styles to wherever you want or make one from scratch.
This guy sounds just like Deranged Millionaire John Hodgman, from the daily show.
Nice demo.
check out new Musical Resources for Korg Micro Arranger.on the net.
John
Anybody from KORG who can say that's the same machine like PA50 with small keys!!!
Denis Vanovac yes it is. Same korg arranger.
Is there a cappuccino button.
No cappuccino but if you play middle C and roll down the detune wheel it makes a flat white.
there is not good sound of all korg models of vintage sound of VOX CONTINENTAL
hi steve plz less chat more explanation plz a little bit slowly thanks a lot bro
esos no es secuensiar eso es grabar el ritmo nada mas y falta la intro
