He literally dragged that poor employee by the neck and didn't even ask permission for the gun. But then again, considering it's Doom Guy then that's the nicest he'll ever be.
The thing about the Doom Slayer is he is not seeing these people or even hearing them what he sees is red keycard which he can use to get through the door to kill demons, then he sees the gun which he can use to kill demons. The people aren't even really there to him cause they are not on his level.

It's the energy that made Doom Slayer become stronger and stronger, so wise decision for the demons to just kill themselves before Doom Slayer could kill them to get the energy.

No humanity still gets curb stomped into oblivion, but doom guy is anger and hatred and strength manifested so helps so they don't go extinct.
I never really was a fan of "Whelp the aliens have shields so everything we do is useless" Halo did this well. The covenant have a technological, numerical, and in most cases, strategic advantage, but they're somewhat vulnerable. They can be faught. So I really do hope DOOM does this.

@@InnuendoXP I think this one sounds a lot like the old plasma rifle. It definitely sounds better than the one from 2016.
It looks like we've got bare biceps back too, and the zombie grunt and mancubus models have more of the characteristic features of their original sprites. On the other hand, 2016's extremely faithful pink baron has been changed up a bit, which is interesting.
They made everything look nearly identical to the original games. It’s not nostalgic, it’s unoriginal and lazy. At least the 2016 Doom did some new takes on classic guns and monsters, as well as adding a lot of new stuff. Eternal just feels lazy.
