    Would be nice if you showed the GPU/CPU wattage in games on both during those recordings. The Intel Core Ultra is very efficient and doesn’t actually need much wattage in games. It’s very similar performance-per-watt to the 8945HS. At least on the Ultra 9, but I don’t think the Ultra 7 would be too much different.

    Great video, by the way I think they dropped a new version of the g16 called the GA605 which has the Ryzen™ AI 9 HX 370 , the oled screen and copilot. I wanted to find some information about this model but there is none out there, I think this is just a refresh with the amd cpu but for the same price I think. Would that be the best because it is bigger and performs better than the g14 while of course being more expensive but having more stuff?

    • @crimsontechyt

    On the G16 using G-helper, can you make a profile where the fans never spin up at all? Some computers will let you set the fan to off, but then still use the fan anyway.

    • @crimsontechyt
      @crimsontechyt  Месяц назад

      No, you cant **completely** turn the fans off, as it would be kinda dangerous 🥲
      You CAN make a custom profile where the fans only start spinning up at like 60 degrees, which means the fans badically never spin until you start doing something intensive (which works really well)

    • @Reaper31292

    Good Video, buts the Specs you showed on screen are very wrong. Unless I'm mistaken, the G16 with 4070 is not offered with 32GB ram, you have to step up to a 4080 to get 32GB, and only comes in the Core Ultra 9, Core Ultra 7 isn't even an option. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

      For example, the mid-range 4070 model here in the Netherlands has 32GB, an Ultra 7, and an IPS display, while the US model has 16GB and an OLED.

    You might need to re-run the battery test again, although Intel has E and P cores, they usually tend to use more power and have worse battery life than AMD, with a reported 5-6 hours on intel and 7-9 hours on AMD according to the G14 reddit.
    I'm also in America so the G16 has 16gb instead of 32gb, making it a even worse deal over here.
    Other than that, great video, I really liked it

      Nah, the Core Ultra chips are surprisingly efficient. I get around 9-10 hours on the G16 and the same on the G14 doing basic tasks. Of course the G16 has a bigger battery so it’s technically using a tiny bit more wattage, but I was shocked to say the least. And other users I know have pushed it to 11-12 hours on the G16.

Also the touchpad from different demos I've tried at best buy has been different on like every model 😭I lucked out with mine especially with the rattle. The display i saw had the rattle. I also opted to pay more for the 4080 ultra 9 spec because of the vapor chamber and that's allowed me to push greater cooling with significantly less fan noise. ALL 2024 G16’s and G14’s have OLED, the 2023 Models of the G16 and G14 have IPS. If you look in the G16’s Armory Crate it has OLED care settings… I’ve had a chance to use both side by side and they look the same, the G14 just has a slightly higher resolution at 3k 120hz wile the G16 has 2.5k 240hz. If you look on any listing it shows the G16 has an OLED. It hurts watching this 😭😭. We all make mistakes sometimes, so it’s all good. Just please add somewhere so someone doesn’t buy the G16 because it doesn’t have OLED. The only difference between the lower end G16’s and the higher end G16’s is cooling and ram. The 4070 model has 3 fans, and the 4080, and 4090 models have 2 fans and a vapor chamber.

    I can’t mentally handle the oled. I play games with static interface. Might get the IPS but not too happy about it. I wish it had miniled. Probably won’t have it next year either. As they already jumped to the „top tier” display. They wouldn’t downgrade. I can’t have burn in. Just no. 😂 also the backlight bleed of IPs won’t make me happy
