    1. A good single volume Bible commentary that's largely from a conservative evangelical perspective is the New Bible Commentary (Don Carson et al, eds.).
    2. Also, if you want to save on money, then a good study Bible will have good albeit skimpy commentaries built-in to the study Bible (e.g. CSB Study Bible, CSB Baker's Illustrated Study Bible, CSB Holy Land Illustrated Study Bible, ESV Study Bible, NIV Biblical Theology Study Bible, NLT Filament Bible, NLT Illustrated Study Bible).
For digital help, I use Logos Bible Software (free version) which comes with the Faithlife Study Bible (also free). That's also quite a good study Bible.
    3. For something a little deeper but still introductory and accessible to the average person, the multi-volume Bible Speaks Today series is a solid commentary series.

A good basic one that is easy is the tony evans commentary and i have heard good things about the believer’s commentary, both well priced i usually only use book specific commentaries. But thats where I’m at now
