I swear...you, Kalel and Lauren Toyota make THE BEST what I eat in a day (vegan versions) you guys are the only ones that I've come across so far that eat fun and interesting foods and spread the message that veganism isn't restricting!!!:)
I LOVE Kalel and Lauren - Lauren's Hot for Food channel is bomb and her food always looks amazing! Veganism isn't restricting in any way, there's so many delicious foods out there and you can get so creative! Thanks so much for the lovely comment and for watching :-) X
+Manar Naboulsi Ah amazing! That's so great to hear, keep it up - it's super easy, not at all restrictive and you don't miss out on anything at all! I haven't yet, but it's on my list as it's a highly requested video :-) Thanks so much for watching! X
Great video. Sorry for asking but don't you think 1 cup of chia seeds is too much? It's almost 50g of fat and 800 calories... Just in case you didn't know!
Oh wow, amazing! I've also made it with courgettes too but I prefer the aubergine one, I'll remember to call it parmigiana next time ;-) Thanks so much! X
Ok I had to come back to say I made the lasagne this evening and I loved them! And mind you, I'm an italian who grew up eating "normal" lasagne with pasta, meat and a creamy cheesy besciamella. Moreover I used the marinara as a sauce not on pasta but on spiraled zucchini (I don't have a spiralizer, I just used a julienne cutter to create them) and it was lovely as well! thank you so much for these amazing videos, each one is always full of creative recipes and I'm sure I'm going to try many more of them. Much love xoxo
Wow, that's so amazing to hear! Thank you so much for the lovely comment and for trying the lasagne - I'm so happy you loved it and hope you like any other recipes you may try just as much! Much love! :-) X
I've binged watch your What I Eat in a Day videos so many times, it's ridiculous how much pleasure I derive from watching your food being made. Thank you for showing me how easy it is to be vegan (I've been vegetarian for ~5 months and transitioning into veganism for 1 week now). Have you ever made a "What's in my vegan fridge/pantry" video? That would be incredibly helpful, I think. I can't seem to find one on your channel but if I skipped over it please let me know!
Finding out you are doing this everyday of June made me squeal with excitement just a little ha. I literally tell you every time how amazing your videos are and how inspiring they are but I just can't praise you enough. I have seen your channel grow so quickly and deservedly so! I tired you chickpea nuggets last night and they were so simple to make and tasted delicious. Cant wait to try something new everyday from your recipes! keep up the good work as I know you put in so much bloody effort to make them look amazing and we all appreciate it. xxx
Ahh too kind! Thank you for such a lovely comment Amanda and for watching them, I'm so happy you enjoy them and love the recipes! Glad you liked the nuggets, they're great with so many things :-) Much love! X
I just found your channel, and I have to say your recipes are so inspiring. They are so simple and use ingredients that are easily found. Thank you for sharing these. Love your videos!!!
Always love watching these, you're so imaginative with plant based eating and your recipes have been so helpful with incorporating vegan meals into my lifestyle!
I have recommended your channel to so many of my friends and family!! It's been a huge help with my vegan transformation I really really do appreciate it so much, I get so exited when you post new content, another great video!! Thank You ever so much again x
thank you so much for the "take to work" ideas!!! soooo over overnight oatmeal. maybe next month a grocery haul video? I always feel overwhelmed and as its just me I end up buying too much.
Ah you're so welcome, I've got carried away cooking since working from home and remembered that not everyone has the free time to cook so much, so I'll try to do more simple recipes too! Yes I'll get to work on that, it's highly requested :-) X
Thank you soo much for making these what I eat in a day videos. I for one, really appreciate the hard work put into them and I love your quick breakfast recipes! You make veganism fun and easy. lots of love
Ahh too kind! Thank you so much for the lovely comment and for watching - so happy you enjoy them! Veganism is all about fun, easy and delicious, I can never understand the preconceptions of it being bland or boring :-) X
Love your videos! I've recently decided I'm going to cut out meat, continuing with fish to start with. I would love to see some lunch box ideas as at uni and placements I often run out of ideas for healthy and delicious lunches that can be eaten cold. xxxx
That's amazing, I was also pescatarian before going vegan! Sure, I'll try my best to come up with some ideas but most of the recipes I share can be enjoyed cold too ;-) X
Oh my,so many yummy looking dishes. I never thought to make a chia parfait like that. I have so many fresh berries to try it with.Ince you didn't hake the seeds and milk when you first put it in the jar did that not get lumpy and all stuck together? I usually have to really shake it up so the seeds don't clump. That cucumber salad is brilliant. Hope Artemis is doing well and the vet visit wasn't too stressful. xoCathy
Ah thanks so much for the lovely comment Cathy! Yes it's great - I usually give it a quick stir with a spoon to mix it but yes, sometimes it can go clumpy! Ah thank you, just replied to you on FB. Sending kisses to Cookie! X
You are amazing Jess, all your recipes look delicious and you inspire me so much to cook something different every day. As for the chia pudding, can it be warmed up, cause I'm not a fan of cold food, especially in the morning... xx
Ah thank you so much for watching love and for the kind comment! Hmm I've never tried it warm, but it could work - I wouldn't recommend oat milk though as that goes really thick and gloopy when heated, almond or coconut milk would work much better! :-) X
You eat a very healthy vegan diet, with so much fruits and vegetables. Your are such an inspiration for me. I know I may repeat myself. But I've found who I like.
OMG I 'm really in love with your recipes. I' ve been waiting for your next I eat in a day video#VeganJune. All of your meals look super Yummy. Amazing Job Jess Xx from Venezuela.
Thanks so much for the lovely comment and for watching Andrea! With leftovers, I just think of different recipes for how I can use them the next day - if all else fails, Google it - say you have cooked broccoli leftovers, search for recipes with broccoli etc etc :-) X
im so happy that youre doing all these videos in june! I wanna live with u and have you cook me all my food haha :') it'd be awesome if you did a vegan Q&A again because i really wanna know how much you work out, what you think about other vegan diets like raw til 4 or fully raw and if you ever tried any of them?
Ah thanks so much for the lovely comment and for watching Beth! I did a short Q&A at the end of my 'Vegan Story' video - I try to work out 4 times a week, twice in the gym and twice at home, then squeeze in yoga when I can! I don't think I could do a fully raw diet/raw til 4, I'd find it too restrictive as I love cooking so much but if it works for you then great :-) X
My gosh Jess! I just made the brownie balls and they are incredible! 😍 currently having a few with some chocolate nicecream to satisfy my post-dinner sweet tooth 😅
Hi Jess, love your recipes. I am allergic to yeast so was wondering if you can tell me if I can use the nutritional yeast to make the cheese sauce? Does it have the same properties? Kindly let me know. Thank You
Thank you so much! I've spent ages looking for an answer to this and there seems to be plenty of other people wondering this but no answers! Some people seem to think that because some yeasts are active and others are inactive, it could be okay but I honestly would not know for sure. Instead, you could soak raw cashew nuts and blend them into the potatoes and carrots instead of the nutritional yeast - I find that cashew nuts have a slight cheesy flavour. If not, vegan cheese would work too - you can now get Mozzarisella (vegan mozzarella made using rice milk) in most health food stores, this would be amazing for the lasagne too! Sorry I can't be of any help! X
Just made the eggplant lasagna. OMG that cheese sauce is amazing. I have some left over and I'm going to use it on top off black bean enchiladas. Thanks. My 10 year old son thinks it's bacon and cheese sauce.
Ah, that lasagne looks AMAZING! And the protein balls, I've wanting to try them for so long...Promise when I'll have more time on my hands I'm gonna make all this goodness haha Thank you so much!! xo
I guess I don't miss the texture of meat because I haven't eaten it for around 10 years, and for me the texture of that is gross :-) There are so many textures from veg, fruit, grains, lentils, beans etc. Thank you so much for watching, so happy you enjoy them! X
This cheese sauce does it really Taste like cheese because thats how i would make potato soup more or less...i even once added nutritional yeast to the soup .. Does the texture and colour make the difference ?
You're insanely creative with your recipes, and your videos have helped me so much! xx
Thank you so much for the lovely comment and so happy they've helped you! :-) X
I swear...you, Kalel and Lauren Toyota make THE BEST what I eat in a day (vegan versions) you guys are the only ones that I've come across so far that eat fun and interesting foods and spread the message that veganism isn't restricting!!!:)

Wowww everything looks so delicious! I wish i have time to cook like that everyday
I live your videos! I'm Italian and the "lasagna" you made is actually a traditional Italian recipe that is called "parmigiana"!
Oh wow, amazing! I've also made it with courgettes too but I prefer the aubergine one, I'll remember to call it parmigiana next time ;-) Thanks so much! X
I love your videos! I can't wait to see the rest of june 😊 I think you have so much good recipes and they look all really yummy
Ok I had to come back to say I made the lasagne this evening and I loved them! And mind you, I'm an italian who grew up eating "normal" lasagne with pasta, meat and a creamy cheesy besciamella. loving the Chia breakfast idea!!! I usually add Chia seeds to my overnight oats, but now I'm going to try this recipe!!!
I do that too, love mixing them or even overnight oats on their own but the chia pot is great :-) X
I've binged watch your What I Eat in a Day videos so many times, it's ridiculous how much pleasure I derive from watching your food being made. Thank you for showing me how easy it is to be vegan (I've been vegetarian for ~5 months and transitioning into veganism for 1 week now).

wow, the eggplant lasagna looks amazing! Do you think I can use cauliflower instead of potato for the cheese sauce?
Thank you! Yes! Cauliflower works really well too - you could add more nutritional yeast as cauli has a stronger taste than potatoes :-) X
you're so creative i wish I could cook like you every day!!
Thanks so much Chloe! :-) X
Everything looked absolutely delicious! I'm not even vegan but I'm definitely going to try them out , thank u!!! X

im so happy that youre doing all these videos in june!
+JessBeautician you're welcome! Thanks so much for replying :D wow that's a lot haha, I definitely want to try yoga too! Xx
My gosh Jess! I just made the brownie balls and they are incredible! 😍 currently having a few with some chocolate nicecream to satisfy my post-dinner sweet tooth 😅

Aubergines
aubergine
+liina000 that's so interesting! I find it fascinating how many different ways there are (in the same language) to say the same words 😊
Hi, if I were going to make a big batch, what would be the best way to preserve it?
