When chunkz was describing what Muhammad Ali has done I was like, oh wow he’s done a lot but then changed his answer! If Ali was actually fighting in a sport that was already rigged, he has done the most for the sport! He didn’t let the mafia deter him from playing and he changed the game. I don’t think the others really changed the game as much as he has
He changed the game off the pitch by using his voice. His actions during the fight didn’t change the game or boost the sport as much as what Jordan did.

Serena has a gold medal, in single and double, won grand slams in singles double and mixed double she is ONLY MISSING 3 THINGS. MIXED DOUBLES GOLD, AND 2 MIXED DOUBLES GRAND SLAMS. The fact she won a grand slam pregnant already says a lot. Not only that she came back from almost dying in hospital TWICE. so no beckham, Michael Jordan are out of the story it would be a tie between her and Muhammed. You have a lot more things to achieve in tennis than soccer, basketball and boxing. And let's also not forget serena has been playing for how long? Whilst the others had short careers that goes to show her gifting.

FACTS! I also feel like Black people need to hold these people more accountable. To a certain extent we have allowed them to mistreat us because we do not call them out explicitly and push them to actually change. We have to push them to see the disempowerment and discomfort that we face, because until THEY are uncomfortable, we won't have change.

Michael Jordan had the entire package, the top tier athleticism, the star appeal, the deals and business especially with air Jordans, the versatility (baseball) and movies..
the social media one was interesting but it is very difficult to regulate stuff like that. On the one hand, its inflicts peoples freedom of speech which can lead to people not using that app anymore. The hardest part would be deciding if a comment is a hate crime or not. It is a very subjective thing, one person might see it as being very offensive while another might be fine with that comment.

@@emgz5742 Ali's achievement within his own sport meant he could use those achievements as a platform to speak out during the Civil Rights movement as well as the Vietnam War. Without him, there may well have been less opportunities for Black people in America to thrive and thusly less or no opportunity for a Serena Williams or Michael Jordan to even be allowed to become as big as they are/were in their respective sports.

The issue with policing social media and the whole freedom of speech thing is, where do you draw that line? Like sure racial abuse or just abuse I get it, slap a fine but what if I'm having banter with one of my boys online and I say something someone else doesn't like but my boy does? Then what do I still get fined because someone somewhere got offended? There would be no social media if you policed it like that because there will always be someone offended by what you say.
I don't think this issue is as clear cut as it seems.
