Yessss I feel like if you were born early 2000s (2000-2004) you got the best bits of everything. The best of Disney, iconic 90s/2000s/early 2010s songs and movies. And then on top of that you were probably raised by the older Gen so you got the oldies too! I remember playing outside, sleepovers, The wii, PS2, and messin w my sisters iPod and then seeing everything innovate firsthand as time went on. We really did get the best of all worlds 🤷🏾♀️

This is why most of the teens nowdays are depressed, because they consume too much social media and their whole life is based off it. Like don’t get me wrong social media has more positives than negatives but sometimes people need to live in reality rather than a tech world. Sorry for my rant I rlly just wish I went back in time :/

It comes down to parenting . I would not let my son sit infront of an iPad or tv for long , I book outdoor and indoor activities, sometimes not even book but just do stuff outside with him and the toys I had when I was a child I’m now buying him . Maybe I’ll have more difficulty when he gets older but I’ll do as much as I can so he isn’t indoors surrounded by technology

I’m 29 and I have a younger sister of 18 years old. I didn’t want her to become like the kids of this generation (in love with their phone and social media). I always played in the garden or played games with her, I would buy her a lot of toys, we would have family time no phones allowed and I only gave her permission to use the iPad for max 1 hour daily. I’m so happy I did it like that. She enjoyed her childhood and right now she is not a fan of her phone and social media. She appreciated family time and her surroundings.

RUclips has fucked them over so hard: gone are the days of having that one movie or collection of specific movies that you watched to death as a kid (for me that was Sam Raimi Spiderman and a bunch of other random shit). I just hope that we create a way to harness the energy of the sun sometime soon so they can create a virtual world that we can all just log our conscious into and live in forever. Honestly humanity is fucked like differently.
I think one good thing from this though is our generation knows what can be on social media and how addictive it is which is why, from what I see of the parents coming from our generation, they are a lot more particular with how much screen time their kids have, what age they start it at and what they can go on. Hopefully, this helps the kids actually experience the freedom that childhood should have
