When you're weary Feeling small When tears are in your eyes I'll dry them all I'm on your side Oh, when times get rough And friends just can't be found Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down When you're down and out When you're on the street When evening falls so hard I will comfort you I'll take your part Oh, when darkness comes And pain is all around Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down Sail on silver girl Sail on by Your time has come to shine All your dreams are on their way See how they shine Oh, if you need a friend I'm sailing right behind Like a bridge over troubled water I will ease your mind Like a bridge over troubled water I will ease your mind
Nice way to ruin a perfectly good song. Every artist on the stage were there alone. No connection to audiance, between the musicians (just look at the pianist, all alone in his head) no eyecontact on the stage, no pressence, no feeling-the -song, no looking at each other. Just like a prostitute exchanging sex for money, these inexperienced boys just delivered some straight pitch harmonic voices in exchange for ticket dollars. The audience just sat there like f****** prisoners, wondering why they didnt like it. I´ll tell you why, because a performance like this is to cleen and pitch perfect to reach the hearts of the listeners.. The people.. This is a lovesong. One of the greatest ever. And it is not supposed to be delivered like a tecnical transfer of sounds... from mouth to ear. It is supposed to be given from the heart - and straight to the hearts of the people. Like Bryan Adams sang it: "Straight from the heart" But this is something they dont teach you at the music academy... You have to have had it delivered, before you can truly experience, what it means to sing from the heart. It has to hurt. You have to find the hurt and the sorrow in yourself. To be able to bring it out. And that takes courage. Something not everyone has.. But it can be taught - for instance - if people saw the two men on stage "feeling" the song. Tapping in to those feeling, that the auther went through - writing it.. But.. If you havn´t lived a life of love and grief, how can you deliver it on stage..

When you're weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I'll dry them all
I'm on your side
Oh, when times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you
I'll take your part
Oh, when darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Sail on silver girl
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine
Oh, if you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Geweldig mooi lied.
