I rang my local chinese restaurant last night and the guy who answered the phone said "Hello, I'm Wan King the chef". I said, "No worries, I'll ring back later". Superb Rikmeister😋
Rik doesn't just make it *look* simple; he teaches that there are many dishes that really *are* simple. He's sharing methods and recipes that virtually anyone should be able to follow and enjoy.
Looks really good, another recipe to try. I love this channel Rik, good food and no nonsense. I love your style and that fact you eat the food at the end. So many channels skip this part and its the best bit. 😃
Hi Rik, loving the look of this dish, will be trying this recipe for sure this week, just have to nick out to buy some bean sprouts & thin cut Sirloin, looking forward to a delicious treat!😋 Love your Asian recipes, so quick & easy, ideal for people who live on their own or couples, a one pot taste sensation with very little prep & minimal clear up 🧼 - perfect!👌 Thanks 🙏 as always, & I hope you enjoyed your meal! 👨🍳🍜👍☺️
Morning Rik this looks amazing. My husband loves Chinese food .I am ok with it but I am learning sooo much from you and I thank you for it .God bless you and your family.
Thank you Rik, for this recipe. The amount of knowledge you have about the different areas of the Asian foods could be a whole week's worth of content. Had no idea this would be Cantonese instead of Chinese, I'm an uneducated American, but am willing to learn. That looks so darn good!
In early 1970s We used to live on tomato beef Chow Fun in San Francisco Chinatown takeaway in those paper cartons. Made with wide thick noodles & very little beef with tomatoes. It was cheap and filled us up with all the pasta. Chow Fun wasn't popular with everybody, but we loved it.
Omgoodness. I’m here suffering with a stomach infection. And my mouth is watering with the anticipation of cooking this when I’m well enough. Thank you Rik. 💕
Love some chow fun for a change i usually add some long green beans love bean shoots looks so delicious for a change from the usual bland dinners ❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
I didn't know what to make for supper tonight but now I know. Thanks Rik for the suggestion. But I have to run out to the shops to see if I can find the wide rice noodles. Something that might be hard to find in my neck of the woods. She who must be obeyed says just use any rice noodle, her wish is my command. LOL Another great looking recipe.
That looks a very tasty meal Rik my son bought some msg from a Chinese supermarket along with half a dozen different sauces and sesame oil , he will enjoy making and eating this , me too thank you , Amanda xx
I love Chinese food, especially dishes like this. I am going to try this. Wish there was smellavision. I'd love to learn how to cook Sizzling Beef, Satay Chicken, Fried Won Tons with Sweet & Sour Sauce, Authentic Chicken & Sweet Corn Soup, as well as broth to do noodle soups. I love recipes that aren't spicy, as I have a condition called Autoimmune Gastritis. Spicy foods give me really bad Indigestion & reflux.
The Mrs was born and raised in HK as a British subject before coming to the States…we have this all the time! In our Krew, we call it “Cantonese Soul Food!!” Thanks Rik!
Tastyyyyy! 😃👍🏻♥️ I've never seen wide rice noodles before. I'll have a good look around next time I visit the big Toko. Meanwhile I think I can use other noodles, yes?
Hi Rik, My newly adopted daughter Millie is 14 and learning to cook, I’ve told her to watch some of your recipes to learn the basics. I was wondering if you could do a recipe to encourage her. Many thanks, Andrew
I learned this trick from a Sichuan chef on marinades including oil... Put everything BUT the oil in immediately and let soak up for about 45 minutes and THEN add the oil for the last 30 minutes... This infuses all the marinade without too much oily taste...
Beef Chow Fun (乾炒牛河, Gan Chao Niu He) is a traditional Cantonese dish from southern China, specifically from Guangdong Province and Hong Kong. It's a staple in Cantonese cuisine and is commonly served in dim sum restaurants, dai pai dongs (street food stalls), and local cha chaan tengs (Hong Kong-style cafes). The dish dates back to at least the early 20th century, though stir-fried rice noodles have been part of Chinese cuisine for much longer. Thank You. Best, Rik
Why do we see Asian cooks throwing in water to stir fry. I notice you didn’t do that. Just wondered. I’m never successful at stir fry. Get undercooked and overcooked bits ☹️
I'm not a fan of Asian food but I am a fan of this Channel and don't miss an episode
