I feel like God has allowed the woman I genuinely thought I’d marry one day to leave because I have a habit of setting relationships and the idea of marriage up as idols in my heart, without even knowing it. Christ alone is sufficient, and I think He is trying to show me that through this suffering. I’m trying to be grateful for it but it is rather difficult at times. I hope He will make a way for us down the line, looking back I can’t think of a single reason why we shouldn’t be together. I truly felt I had God’s blessing. Then again, He knows better than I do. So whatever happens, however it happens, I will try to trust in Him alone.

I took me a little over 3 years to get over my ex. During that time, I prayed to God daily that he would bring her back to me. She never came back. Looking back, I can see that it was not God's will for me since she was not a believer and she had many toxic issues that would not have made her a good partner. I learned from this experience that I need to be more discerning in who I choose to date and get close to. Thank you for the video.

I really did need to hear this. I recently got broken up with and it was tough because he went to the same church as me. I cried and prayed to God as to why this had to happen. However, I learned that God is letting me go through this because He's trying to teach me. I worked on some hobbies i always wanted to do and i've also been studying the bible more. He suggests not dating until you're in a place where you're looking for marriage. The first point struck me so hard. I have realized better now that I have been forcing myself to heal faster so as to move on with my life and not be affected by this breakup anymore. I was broken up with in the beginning of the year, just before the semester started. I was so hurt and couldn't properly comprehend what had happened to me. I only got my closure in mid June while we were on holiday from school and I've been trying to force myself to heal faster because I'm in the same class as him and have to see him everyday and it is affecting my studies. I try to ignore the feeling but it results in me having brain fog and not being able to assimilate what I'm studying. After watching this video though, I will take all these points and apply them to my situation. This pain will not last forever and I'll be ok, maybe even sooner than I know it. I thank God for being with me through this all. Going through this has taught me to rely on him once again and is drawing me closer to Him. One day I'll be able to look back at this and praise God for getting past it. ❤ I hope the same for all of you reading this and everyone in this comment section. I believe this was put on my news feed because i feel that Ive put my breakup off for 4 years, this relationship I had before the lord and I know it doesn't honor him... I idolized my relationship and turned to drugs. However I came back to God 4 years ago and pretended that everything is fine I won't think about this person anymore but past memories try to still come up I believe it can be Satan but also God showing me this painful part of my life that I've been ignoring for so long and has been keeping me in the mentality of "I will never be with anyone opposite sex of me in my future" out of my hurt and not a healthy desire to look at marriage purely, and looking at men negatively including not having a healthy pure motive to be single. This video is so fitting for my current situation. I didn't experience a romantic break-up, but my friendship ending with someone I really hold dear broke my heart. It's just hard to cope when I see them most of the time and get reminded that we are now strangers to each other. I just tried ignoring my feelings, but it didn't work. When you are wounded and bleeding, you have to do something about it or else you might die. I resorted to dealing with it with my self through my own reflections and constantly reminding myself they'll never come back and it's not God's will for them to stay anymore, but I still feel pain whenever I se them because I still care. Whenever I try to force to heal my wounds, I end up hurting myself more. It's just no use whether I'd ignore it or do something with it myself, so I let God heal me instead. I focus more in my faith in Him more than my feelings towards that person while also letting Him handle my wounds that I couldn't heal myself. Before this, I experienced heartbreak for three years, and just as how I'm free from it now, I trust and pray God that He'll guide me in this one as well.

I’ve never dumped anyone but the hardest experience of my life was when my wife of 13 years and the mother of my two children divorced me four years ago. I’ve been in an emotional, mental, financial, and now physical nightmare as my body is breaking down. And I’m drowning in bills. Glory to God I was saved a year after the divorce but it’s been really really difficult ever since. My ex-wife is still not saved and hates that I am a Christian now. The pain of this whole experience has been almost unbearable. I keep praying that the Lord would send me a Godly new wife but for whatever reason after four years He is still leaving me in this horrible mess. I’m just trying to keep trusting in Jesus and learn what He is teaching me.

I would look up some evidences of God such as the Theory of Biogenesis and also the fact that for this mortal earth to exist, something has to remain eternal. Look up some more evidences for God, not only will it grow your own faith but also help you to reach your friends. thank you for this, I've been struggling really bad the last year after breaking up with my abusive ex (we were together nearly 2 years and were engaged). I miss the super sweet guy he was on occassion and it caused me to really feel shattered when I broke up with him, I've felt like leaving the abuse wasnt worth it or the right decision due to my severe lonliness and ya know having no friends doesnt help. But this really helped me feel like the time its been taking to heal and the fact that I still miss him sometimes is okay, and other times if I get stressed out from memories thats okay too. The part about leaving the wound alone really struck me, I have a bad tendency to be like why arent i healed yet, I should get over it, it was a year ago blah blah blah or i hear other people in my head who were like he was awful get over it and thats obviously super unhelpful. But yeah I just really appreciate your video, thank you!

“Being broken up with is like getting a huge gash on your arm.” Being unexpectedly separated and unwanted divorce is like getting a massive hole in your being, where people can see through cause you feel hollow and empty. Speaking from experience, Don’t rush. As a splint aligns the leg and a graph fosters healing of skin, the lord does both with heartbreak if you hand it to him. It wont be instant but it does heal. And be careful of an unforgiven attitude, otherwise it would only end up infected and poison your being with resentment and bitterness.

I never was in a relationship but I had friends that were girls and they've hurt me emotionally because they basically either put me on the back burner or left me hanging. I know I had something to do with it so I never wanted to pursue a girlfriend again... although right now in my life, I progressed on what to look out on girls especially when I talk to them. There's a coworker that wants to stay in touch with me due to a job transition in my life. There's certain qualities I can tell she might be interested in me. Its a possibility. She's also a Christian as well. I realized that I had to forgive and progress what God is teaching me and I have to be patient either if this coworker and I could be in a potential relationship or someone being better for me. I broke up with my ex at the beginning of last month and I feel like I lost myself, she was extremely narcissistic and toxic. She would lie to me, gaslight me, and manipulate me. God wanted me to remove her out of my life but I never wanted to. Until it reached a point where I felt like I had to, I couldn’t trust her. I felt relieved at first to finally let her go but I’ve been getting many reminders of her lately. I’ve been drowning out my thoughts with weed but now I realize I am suffering. When I am sober my pain comes back as if it just happened. God wants me to let go of weed but I feel like it’s the only thing that helps me feel. That way I don’t have to feel this pain. The moment that I’m sober I start to cry everyday and I hate it, seconds feel like hours, my heart is beating so slowly and I feel a pit in my chest. I am suffering mentally, I feel dead. I have no one I can go to and I just feel empty. I’m trying to keep my faith but I feel like I’ve been getting attacked by satan. I’m losing it, I need help. Pray for me please
@jjxd3n_ Just remember that 1 God is in you and with you. 2 God's love is sufficient for you and 3 You have power over sin and weed. It helps to imagine IMPACT's drawing of the Spirit of God in your chest/heart while you pray. So next time... When you remember her and you're tempted again remember Jesus is standing right beside you with a hand on your shoulder and the other patting your head and imagine the Spirit of God in your chest and pray. Pray till you feel better, sometimes you might even burst out crying while you do but just lay it all at His feet and be genuine. He'll take all the pain and sorrow and make you feel better. So never forget that Jesus loves you and that love is enough for you. Anchor on that love and you'll make it through this. God bless you brother 🤍

Going through one now. I’ve learned to lean on God. It’s not easy though when I’m alone at times. It’s a delicate spot with me and my girl who decided to cut it off. Dated for 7 years and her family loves me and mine loves her. I was planning on graduating college and then proposing sometime this January. A lot of issues stemmed from my inability to be the man God has wanted but we have been able to make things work before. Even she isn’t sure of the future as of now, nor am I. However God has willed that I be alone in this moment to learn and to better me. We must remember the Lord holds the keys to the universe and time. His will be done and hopefully our dreams and visions are aligned with it.
I broke up six months ago to escape rather bad abuse, and it hurts. But I'll counter your statement that we should avoid places that bring up memories - maybe to begin with that's wise, but it can also be very helpful to specifically go and visit those places for two purposes - firstly to face your emotions, it is better to deal with what is troubling you rather than just avoiding it - and secondly to create new good memories in those places and turn them from places of sorrow into places that are happy. I have had advice to take a group of good friends to a place with bad memories of your ex, and just have a great time with them there, don't talk about your ex at all, just build happy memories in that place to replace the sad memories. And it works.
I think that another thing that is also important to say is that going back with that person you have broke with is not the solution to breakup,because that's not what they need when they feel like this. I mean yes,it hurts when they leave for whatever circumstances that happened because it leaves like a huge hole,but we must remember that we can't be depending on others to feel emotionally good and stable. I have seen people going back with their exes believing things would go right because "things have changed for good" resulting later on in an on and off relationship,and that's just one of many examples on why it is not a good idea to do that.
I just broke up with my girlfriend today, because she had lost love for me. I am surprisingly not heart broken. But did felt heart broken when we were together from the negligence she gave me. Sometimes if you love someone, you have to let them go, and love yourself instead of that one person. Because your heart does not belong or deserve to that person, and instead someone or something else. Breakups are also not pointless, so don't think you wasted your time. Breakups are lessons so that we can be stronger for what comes ahead. So everybody who is going through this pain. Learn to love life instead, because loving someone else is just an addition to life. Me and her decided to split yesterday, we both have many responsibilities at only 16, I’ve recently lost a family member and he lived in another state. My mom knew that he was living his final days so we drove out here to comfort him, this happened around the 4th of July in 2023, we just celebrated his life by taking a trip to lake Geneva where he would always go. He left us his house in which I basically grew up in and many valuables and items, it’s very stressful on my family, especially with the house being on a farm and all beat up. On the flip side, her parents have recently divorced, and she has to pick up the slack of her father who no longer lives with her. She actually is getting called up to play varsity volleyball for our school with the seniors which I am very proud of. She has also grown closer to god which I long for, she works at a church flipping through the slide show thingy, she also attends every Sunday, and over the summer she did a bible camp helping kids! The bottom line is we both decided that finding eachother when we’re In a better headspace is the more logical option, I know god has an amazing result in the end, however whether we’re both in the picture is debatable. As I was typing this comment, we had plumbers come over to investigate a hissing sound behind the fridge. Turns out that there was a leak in the coolant source for days and black mold has built up. My mom is going to fly us home within the week as this situation has grown too far too fast.

My story: I went with a nasty break up with my girlfriend at the time. At the time I believed she was the one. After she dumped me, i felt horrible pain. I even questioned God about why he let this happen to me. Was I not meant to be happy? After about 2 years ( give or take). I did get over it. And I did run into her again. Turns out she was divorced 2 twice with 3 kids ( all from different fathers), no job, and was living with her parents and off her parents' income. It was then that I realized God was showing me this, and I came to the realization that I dodge a bullet and God allowed to happen because he didn't want me going through such drama with her. After math: I'm married with 3 kids to an awsome woman. Moral: If God allows it, he has a very good reason. Both for him and you.
For me, we haven't broken up yet but she's growed more distant with me to spend time with someone else. I don't think she's cheating, but we both know our relationship is coming to an end. We can even talk to each other anymore because we're so distant and when we do it's very awkward and silent. It hurts a lot to see her give me up so easily to be with someone else who she's known for way less. But I know that I have to prepare myself for if this doesn't work out (which it most likely won't) she even tried convincing me to break up with her because she doesn't want to be the one to break up with me. I feel like God has allowed the woman I genuinely thought I’d marry one day to leave because I have a habit of setting relationships and the idea of marriage up as idols in my heart, without even knowing it. Christ alone is sufficient, and I think He is trying to show me that through this suffering. I’m trying to be grateful for it but it is rather difficult at times. I hope He will make a way for us down the line, looking back I can’t think of a single reason why we shouldn’t be together. I truly felt I had God’s blessing. Then again, He knows better than I do. I took me a little over 3 years to get over my ex. During that time, I prayed to God daily that he would bring her back to me. She never came back. Looking back, I can see that it was not God's will for me since she was not a believer and she had many toxic issues that would not have made her a good partner. I really needed to hear this. I just went through a really hard breakup this morning that was kinda out of the blue and a friend sent this to me. It’s going to be quite a journey considering that this was my longest relationship and I was really in love with this man. The thing that sucks the most is that he was never a bad person and that’s making this even harder. I also realize that God’s got me in His hands and would never do something that wasn’t beneficial for me
When God takes something from you, He does it to give you something better. The only thing you have to learn is patience. God won’t give it to you as soon as He took it from you. And those breakups are sings that He has someone better prepared for you. You will meet the right person when God believes you are ready. The first point struck me so hard. I have realized better now that I have been forcing myself to heal faster so as to move on with my life and not be affected by this breakup anymore. I was broken up with in the beginning of the year, just before the semester started. I was so hurt and couldn't properly comprehend what had happened to me. I only got my closure in mid June while we were on holiday from school and I've been trying to force myself to heal faster because I'm in the same class as him and have to see him everyday and it is affecting my studies. I try to ignore the feeling but it results in me having brain fog and not being able to assimilate what I'm studying. After watching this video though, I will take all these points and apply them to my situation. This pain will not last forever and I'll be ok, maybe even sooner than I know it. I thank God for being with me through this all. Going through this has taught me to rely on him once again and is drawing me closer to Him. One day I'll be able to look back at this and praise God for getting past it. ❤ I hope the same for all of you reading this and everyone in this comment section. I idolized my relationship and turned to drugs. This video is so fitting for my current situation. I didn't experience a romantic break-up, but my friendship ending with someone I really hold dear broke my heart. It's just hard to cope when I see them most of the time and get reminded that we are now strangers to each other. I just tried ignoring my feelings, but it didn't work. When you are wounded and bleeding, you have to do something about it or else you might die. I resorted to dealing with it with my self through my own reflections and constantly reminding myself they'll never come back and it's not God's will for them to stay anymore, but I still feel pain whenever I se them because I still care. Whenever I try to force to heal my wounds, I end up hurting myself more. It's just no use whether I'd ignore it or do something with it myself, so I let God heal me instead. I focus more in my faith in Him more than my feelings towards that person while also letting Him handle my wounds that I couldn't heal myself. Before this, I experienced heartbreak for three years, and just as how I'm free from it now, I trust and pray God that He'll guide me in this one as well.

I’ve never dumped anyone but the hardest experience of my life was when my wife of 13 years and the mother of my two children divorced me four years ago. I’ve been in an emotional, mental, financial, and now physical nightmare as my body is breaking down. And I’m drowning in bills. Glory to God I was saved a year after the divorce but it’s been really really difficult ever since. My ex-wife is still not saved and hates that I am a Christian now. The pain of this whole experience has been almost unbearable. I keep praying that the Lord would send me a Godly new wife but for whatever reason after four years He is still leaving me in this horrible mess. I’m just trying to keep trusting in Jesus and learn what He is teaching me.

DO NOT WORRY!!! I understand, I too feel this way with my own family. A tip I would give for sharing faith with atheists is some COLD HARD SCIENCE. I would look up some evidences of God such as the Theory of Biogenesis and also the fact that for this mortal earth to exist, something has to remain eternal. Look up some more evidences for God, not only will it grow your own faith but also help you to reach your friends. thank you for this, I've been struggling really bad the last year after breaking up with my abusive ex (we were together nearly 2 years and were engaged). I miss the super sweet guy he was on occassion and it caused me to really feel shattered when I broke up with him, I've felt like leaving the abuse wasnt worth it or the right decision due to my severe lonliness and ya know having no friends doesnt help. Being unexpectedly separated and unwanted divorce is like getting a massive hole in your being, where people can see through cause you feel hollow and empty.
Speaking from experience, Don’t rush. As a splint aligns the leg and a graph fosters healing of skin, the lord does both with heartbreak if you hand it to him. It wont be instant but it does heal. And be careful of an unforgiven attitude, otherwise it would only end up infected and poison your being with resentment and bitterness.

One week ago my boyfriend broke up with me, this weekend we should have our 3 years anniversary. I never was in a relationship but I had friends that were girls and they've hurt me emotionally because they basically either put me on the back burner or left me hanging. I know I had something to do with it so I never wanted to pursue a girlfriend again... although right now in my life, I progressed on what to look out on girls especially when I talk to them. There's a coworker that wants to stay in touch with me due to a job transition in my life. There's certain qualities I can tell she might be interested in me. Its a possibility. She's also a Christian as well. I realized that I had to forgive and progress what God is teaching me and I have to be patient either if this coworker and I could be in a potential relationship or someone being better for me. I broke up with my ex at the beginning of last month and I feel like I lost myself, she was extremely narcissistic and toxic. She would lie to me, gaslight me, and manipulate me. God wanted me to remove her out of my life but I never wanted to. Until it reached a point where I felt like I had to, I couldn’t trust her. I felt relieved at first to finally let her go but I’ve been getting many reminders of her lately. I’ve been drowning out my thoughts with weed but now I realize I am suffering. When I am sober my pain comes back as if it just happened. God wants me to let go of weed but I feel like it’s the only thing that helps me feel. That way I don’t have to feel this pain. The moment that I’m sober I start to cry everyday and I hate it, seconds feel like hours, my heart is beating so slowly and I feel a pit in my chest. I am suffering mentally, I feel dead. I have no one I can go to and I just feel empty. I’m trying to keep my faith but I feel like I’ve been getting attacked by satan. I’m losing it, I need help. Pray for me please
@jjxd3n_ Just remember that 1 God is in you and with you. 2 God's love is sufficient for you and 3 You have power over sin and weed. It helps to imagine IMPACT's drawing of the Spirit of God in your chest/heart while you pray. So next time... When you remember her and you're tempted again remember Jesus is standing right beside you with a hand on your shoulder and the other patting your head and imagine the Spirit of God in your chest and pray. Pray till you feel better, sometimes you might even burst out crying while you do but just lay it all at His feet and be genuine. He'll take all the pain and sorrow and make you feel better. So never forget that Jesus loves you and that love is enough for you. Anchor on that love and you'll make it through this. God bless you brother 🤍

5:30 I'm a kid, and I didn't go through a break up, but that is at least relatable to mine. When I talk about something that make me so sad or also cry, my parents would always rush the argument by telling me to get over it because "it's in the past". Yeah, I know, it's in the past, but it was so hurtful I couldn't stop thinking about it.

Thank you for this video! Please read my story and share in my pain. I was gay and legally married (obviously not before God) to the love of my life. He was everything to me. But I was diagnosed with cancer this July. In that diagnosis and through the chemotherapy, I gave my life to Christ. Because in such darkness only the light of the world could save me.. but it meant I had to obey the Lord and leave my partner. It’s been hard, and my faith shakes a lot, but I trust God is real, and He cares for me, and cares about sin too. So please, pray for strength and healing.

Going through one now. I’ve learned to lean on God. It’s not easy though when I’m alone at times. It’s a delicate spot with me and my girl who decided to cut it off. Dated for 7 years and her family loves me and mine loves her. I was planning on graduating college and then proposing sometime this January. A lot of issues stemmed from my inability to be the man God has wanted but we have been able to make things work before. Even she isn’t sure of the future as of now, nor am I. However God has willed that I be alone in this moment to learn and to better me. We must remember the Lord holds the keys to the universe and time. His will be done and hopefully our dreams and visions are aligned with it.
I broke up six months ago to escape rather bad abuse, and it hurts. But I'll counter your statement that we should avoid places that bring up memories - maybe to begin with that's wise, but it can also be very helpful to specifically go and visit those places for two purposes - firstly to face your emotions, it is better to deal with what is troubling you rather than just avoiding it - and secondly to create new good memories in those places and turn them from places of sorrow into places that are happy. I have had advice to take a group of good friends to a place with bad memories of your ex, and just have a great time with them there, don't talk about your ex at all, just build happy memories in that place to replace the sad memories. And it works.

I think that another thing that is also important to say is that going back with that person you have broke with is not the solution to breakup,because that's not what they need when they feel like this.
I mean yes,it hurts when they leave for whatever circumstances that happened because it leaves like a huge hole,but we must remember that we can't be depending on others to feel emotionally good and stable.
I have seen people going back with their exes believing things would go right because "things have changed for good" resulting later on in an on and off relationship,and that's just one of many examples on why it is not a good idea to do that.
I just broke up with my girlfriend today, because she had lost love for me. I am surprisingly not heart broken. But did felt heart broken when we were together from the negligence she gave me. Sometimes if you love someone, you have to let them go, and love yourself instead of that one person. Because your heart does not belong or deserve to that person, and instead someone or something else. Breakups are also not pointless, so don't think you wasted your time. Breakups are lessons so that we can be stronger for what comes ahead. So everybody who is going through this pain. Learn to love life instead, because loving someone else is just an addition to life. I really needed to hear this message. My ex left me on August 1st in the darkest times of my life. She was always there for me and I for her. But when she left she left me as if I never existed and wanted nothing to do with me. She even admitted that I was the best man she ever had in her life. I think why is she doing me this way. I will never know why but it's really hard. But all i can do now is praise Jesus and keep moving forward.

I was just broken up with and I got saved 2 months before I got with this guy. And the thing that hurts the most is the things we shared with God.. it was the best and most intimate relationship (not sexually).
And he accepted things that no one else did. He was patient and kind. Then last week I lost my pet (he was my best friend). And my bf couldn’t handle me grieving bc I was upset everyday. I guess it was all too much. His reasonings were all over the place.. so I couldn’t really get anything out of that. I know I wasn’t the best but he said he missed me being sweet but I had just lost my best friend.
Me and her decided to split yesterday, we both have many responsibilities at only 16, I’ve recently lost a family member and he lived in another state. My mom knew that he was living his final days so we drove out here to comfort him, this happened around the 4th of July in 2023, we just celebrated his life by taking a trip to lake Geneva where he would always go. He left us his house in which I basically grew up in and many valuables and items, it’s very stressful on my family, especially with the house being on a farm and all beat up. On the flip side, her parents have recently divorced, and she has to pick up the slack of her father who no longer lives with her. She actually is getting called up to play varsity volleyball for our school with the seniors which I am very proud of. She has also grown closer to god which I long for, she works at a church flipping through the slide show thingy, she also attends every Sunday, and over the summer she did a bible camp helping kids! The bottom line is we both decided that finding eachother when we’re In a better headspace is the more logical option, I know god has an amazing result in the end, however whether we’re both in the picture is debatable. I really do love her and your video helped so much. God bless ❤️
As I was typing this comment, we had plumbers come over to investigate a hissing sound behind the fridge. Turns out that there was a leak in the coolant source for days and black mold has built up. My mom is going to fly us home within the week as this situation has grown too far too fast.

My parents forced me to part ways with a girl I had serious deep emotional feelings for and with. Despite a relationship never being likely. Despite health issues getting in the way of a lot of things.
Every place I go to brings a memory. I go to work and I think of all the jokes I made to her about work. I go to church and I think of all the prayers I made for her at church. Every time I got home I sent her a text I was home. And that's just a few things. Even certain foods make me think of her.
I'm 32 years old and I've never had luck meeting anyone online except for her, and I really thought she might be the one.
I'M 49 YEARS OLD, I'VE NEVER KNOWN WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE LOVED! 💔 Yes, family loves me, but I've never been loved intimately, never known what it's like to be needed, an important part of someone's life.
I've dated some women, but nothing ever developed. I've felt love growing in me toward some of the women I've dated but they never expressed such to me. They always ended up breaking off from me.
My story:
I went with a nasty break up with my girlfriend at the time. At the time I believed she was the one.
After she dumped me, i felt horrible pain. I even questioned God about why he let this happen to me. Was I not meant to be happy?
After about 2 years ( give or take). I did get over it. And I did run into her again.
Turns out she was divorced 2 twice with 3 kids ( all from different fathers), no job, and was living with her parents and off her parents' income.
It was then that I realized God was showing me this, and I came to the realization that I dodge a bullet and God allowed to happen because he didn't want me going through such drama with her.
After math:
I'm married with 3 kids to an awsome woman.
Moral:
If God allows it, he has a very good reason. Both for him and you.

For me, we haven't broken up yet but she's growed more distant with me to spend time with someone else. I don't think she's cheating, but we both know our relationship is coming to an end. We can even talk to each other anymore because we're so distant and when we do it's very awkward and silent. It hurts a lot to see her give me up so easily to be with someone else who she's known for way less. But I know that I have to prepare myself for if this doesn't work out (which it most likely won't) she even tried convincing me to break up with her because she doesn't want to be the one to break up with me.
