Hey Steve! How can somebody who was born in 1997 be 27 years old and be playing in the majors!! When I first started collecting baseball cards, some of the birthdates were in the 1930s, even the 1920s. You look at some of the older cards, and obviously, there were guys born in the 19th century, lol. Anyway, some of the things you brought up are the reasons why I'm not really into today's game. What's weird too, is that the sound of the ball coming off the bat isn't even the same as it used to be. Every hit sounds like the bat broke. Of course, all this doesn't mean there isn't some good baseball from time to time.
Hey Ganon. Yea. I am not a fan of bat speed and exit velocity and every player trying to bash 40 HRs and barely bat .200 and land on the IL. Guys like Kwan are awesome for me to enjoy the game still. I do enjoy some power hitters, but here as of the past 2-3 years I feel as though low batting average and swinging for the fences has become every players goal. Hey Steve! How can somebody who was born in 1997 be 27 years old and be playing in the majors!! When I first started collecting baseball cards, some of the birthdates were in the 1930s, even the 1920s. You look at some of the older cards, and obviously, there were guys born in the 19th century, lol. Anyway, some of the things you brought up are the reasons why I'm not really into today's game. What's weird too, is that the sound of the ball coming off the bat isn't even the same as it used to be. Every hit sounds like the bat broke. Of course, all this doesn't mean there isn't some good baseball from time to time.
Hey Ganon. Yea. I am not a fan of bat speed and exit velocity and every player trying to bash 40 HRs and barely bat .200 and land on the IL. Guys like Kwan are awesome for me to enjoy the game still. Just a solid all around player who puts his team first, but there are not a lot of guys like him around these days. Appreciate your support buddy. Thank You.
