Thank you SO MUCH for this great interview, Brian. I appreciate that you recognized Leta Powell Drake's greatness and had her on your show just prior to her unfortunate passing. She was light-years ahead of her time...completely organic and genuine, not trying to get 'likes' and clicks or imitate anyone else, because there was no one else with her amazing style. Comments like, "You had the opportunity to work with Burton....and now he's *dead*...", "you made some brilliant pictures and you made some stinkers," AND "you don't consider yourself a great actor, do you?"are priceless. Your priceless interview with LPD is the only one I could find of her in her later years. Thanks again.
Brian, this interview is PURE GOLD. I was so sad to hear of Leta's passing today and then came across your conversation with her. It brought a big smile to my face. Thank you. Funny how she turned the interview around to quiz you about your garage and your podcast! That's Leta for ya! I had a chance to work with her "back in the day" in Lincoln. She was a force of nature and will be missed!
What a personality. She seems to love Nebraskan television but you can't help wonder why she wasn't on national tv all these years. Those interviews are crazy entertaining.
She just passed away today at the age of 83 on 9/15/2021. She was active in sports as well as so many other things until her death. She was always on the go! R.I.P Leta
I grew up with this woman on TV in central Nebraska. The morning show and the after school kid's program were so well produced, I thought they were from the national CBS network.
Good grief, this show was so entertaining. How is Brian not heading up late night?! He’s a natural unlike those dopes over at CBS, NBC and ABC. The world is just too weird and unjust.

Wow, that was wonderful!
I love that she was still asking the best questions..."It must be cold in that garage, how do you do that?"
I know right? She was like my mom lol

She is amazing! I love how feisty she is and how genuine and caring! I want to be her friend TOO!
