That 'oxi' on the castle doesn't mean don't come here! In Greece+Cyprus we celebrate Oxi Day as a public holiday every year on 28 th October. The Oxi or No represents the Greek answer to Mussolini's ultimatum to Greece in 1940 during WW2. Hi Gabriel! Evia(Evoia) is a beautiful island. Visited there last year in June, I feel it's on the underrated side and not many people choose to go. There's a lot of nice places to hike around there, and a lot of streams thanks to the Dirfi mountain, it's also a little bit more green as well. 28:19 I bet they are practicing before the real air show
Check the Dragon's houses ( Δρακόσπιτα)
Yep, that's where I was headed, next video.
They are the red arrows. From England. My home country. They are amazing. Brilliant when you watch them in action. Amazing pilots. Bless.
...it certainly does !! ✌✨
Gabriel be careful wondering on all those "abandoned" castles ... between all these rocks there are certainly some snakes and more rarely scorpions too.
those are military jets they usually circle the island to protect it from turkey also Greek Easter is only a few days away maybe thats why the colors
Those specific ones are actually British. Red Arrows I think they are called. They train there as well. But yes, in Greece you will see Hellenic Jets often..👍🏻
haha the workers telling you to go around in the roundabout at 4:21 😂
Edit: I noticed you went in the wrong direction in the roundabouts at least two times haha
Welcome to Greece, your narratives in general in the videos are very good, where you are in the amphitheater, apparently by mistake you did not mention the correct number of Persian losses in the battle of Marathon, according to Herodotus the Persian losses were 6,400 not 640 , the Athenians had 192 casualties and the Plataean 11. They also lost 7 ships.
Yes, 6,400. That's what I said, same as the capacity of the amphitheater. Great to be back in Greece.✌️
Thats what he said Mitso! He said 6,400. He mentioned it a couple of times in this video & the others brotha 👍🏻
@@GabrielTravelerVideosWelcome back Gabriel. Enjoy it Brother! 👍🏻
That’s similar to the red arrows in Britain there exhaust is the colour of the flag red, white and blue when there is a special occasion
Gabriel, since you are in Evia island, try going to chiliadou beach ( χιλιαδου ). you will love it.
Regarding jets: told you not to go thru that fence.
Message received and ignored. 😁
Gabriel is equipped with advanced stealth capabilities, especially when travelling through Greece so that's not a problem...

You were in a great place to view the air show.
I really enjoyed the preview! It was a little mystery, and when you reach the ruin castle, the mystery was solved. Thanks Gabriel! 🐾🐾💚Jul and family
Beautiful
Enjoy beautiful Evia Gabe. Don’t miss a night drink at waterfront Challkida and getting through Dirfis mountain.
I did the same thing with my shoes when I was in Zagreb Croatia end of March
Need to go to Volos.
Do you think also Gab, Greece landscape looks like a litle bit like Mexico landscape ?
Nice Gabriel 😊❤
Think it wd be the red arrows. ❤
I am very glad Gabriel that you are back in Greece.
Sunday 5/5 and Monday 6/5 all shops are closed they celebrate Easter, you must have food and water for two days
Stocked up, I think I'll survive. Will there be any restaurants open in touristy places? I'm hoping so, so I can at least get a proper dinner.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos holidays are observed with reverence
to be sure, on Saturday you can buy different pies, cheese pies, pizzas, spinach pies, sausage pies, burger pie, savory pie, sweet pie from the bakery
@@GabrielTravelerVideos on Easter Sunday, after 40 days of fasting (lies do not fast☺), the Greeks eat roast lamb or various meats, many accompanying dishes, red-dyed eggs and wish each other a
@@GabrielTravelerVideosbasically find yourself at a village and you might get invited for food and drinks
@@GabrielTravelerVideos In bigger villages you should find some restaurants serving the traditional “magiritsa” after the midnight church service on Saturday night (where all of Greece attends), and on Easter Sunday afternoon lamb on a spit.
Looks historical!
I've never traveled anywhere in Europe but we are traveling and living all over central Mexico right now. Maaaannnn, I am just feeling like I'm getting a finer grip on Spanish and wow, to then turn around and learn some Greek, LOL. I guess it's good for neuroplasticity, eh? (I'm 65 and a digital nomad)
hello what surprise i live near castle , i saw my house .wow! thank you Gabriel. Gabriel yoy have to go in little bridge, to see porthmos euripou, you have to go in ipokampos drosia, you have to go in Steni village agia kiriaki, you have to go in Agiow Ioannis Rosos,
Northern Evia was devastated by enormous forest fires a couple of years ago. The mountain valleys had unique biodiversity that would be worth exploring, but not sure what state it is in now.
I saw them from Skiathos: ruclips.net/video/TAA7ySsROv0/видео.html
