    I'm glad my 92 fxrs has the oil filter up front. I'd be thinking that rear mounted one might suddenly oil slick my rear tyre.

    Hey Doc… I’m curious about something. Why do I seem to hear on several Harley repair forums and social media sites that so many riders with early 2000 Harleys seem to be told repeatedly that dealers won’t work on older Harley bikes… but here you are working on a 1990 FXR. Is it the Motor Company that tells dealerships what they can work on… or do dealerships just randomly decide what they want to work on.

    It was great meeting you July 5th when we delivered the flag from Columbia. I have an 86 FXR and I removed the oil filter mount and welded it to the right side down tube to install the oil filter in the later model position.
    You were saying that you were looking for some new content for videos and I thought of my recent task of changing the stator on my 2012 FLHT. I thought I could remove the stator without removing the inner primary but as you know I was wrong! Have you ever heard of anyone grinding down that lip on the inner primary to make it accessible? Also do you know why it's even there.
    I always enjoy your videos even when they have nothing to do with anything I have!

    • @LowCountryHarleyDavidson
      @LowCountryHarleyDavidson  Год назад

      Yes I have heard of owners grinding. I have not received an answer why the inner primary changed. My thoughts include the change in mounting the inner primary needed strength……Doc

    • @LowCountryHarleyDavidson
