The fact that this compilation have "SeXy" in its youtube url is very funny, good compilation !
Good catch!
I still come back here from time to time lol
Indiana Jones And The Fate Of Atlantis is a work of art.
Absolutely fantastic ambient tune.
Yes and the game overall was fun. At least for those days. I would play it again if I had a way even though it is pretty dated.
It was one of the first games I ever played, and it's crazy the rush of nostalgia I get when I hear the music used in this playlist. It got embedded into my memory without my even realising it!
ONE OF MY FAVBOURITES, I loved the music in the game Michael Land and the others arranged I used to love just listening to it plus I got so immersed in that game travelling to different countries and everything. I think it was incredible!
After that I loved the Infernal Machine as well and SO hyped for the new Indy game that is coming it looks insane!!
ms dos forever man
Ahhh Back to when life was much simpler both in terms of gaming and OS and coding
Never heard of Super Acid Block Attack, but I have to say its soundtrack is exactly the kind of Demoscene track I still listen to in 2021, so I am already sold on this compilation!
It reminds me a lot of the theme song to Art Bell's "Dreamland" show
Dude I used to love cosmos cosmic adventure!!!
Cosmic's Cosmic Adventure. Wow. That just opened up a door to forgotten memories.
Fate of Atlantis is great music.
It's lovely.. isn't it.. digitally ambient mood music.. 😎🎹
@@LoganSky I really like the slow synth part.
I'm a great MS-DOS gaming fan and I love this so much! Thank you!
Thanks bro i miss this 486 DX33 era !
Who doesnt...
wanted to play xatax yesterday, but only got to the title screen because that sound hypnotized me xD
This the sound of childhood😂❤
Simon the Sorcerer is my favorite game. I wish somone will remake it for PS4/5
We're working on a remake for PC
@@Dangnilo Who are you and what's the name of your company? I would like some infomation about the remake. My name is on the end credits of Simon the sorcerer 3d.
@@jameslevy8347 Wow that was a swift reply! I'm sorry James, but I just wanted to give you what appears to be a 7-minute hope, I'm not developing anything related to Simon the Sorcerer, but I'm right there with you clinging on the nostalgia from these wonderful times when we used to play DOS and sometimes Win 3.1 games. It was a joke, but I bet your mind went wild during these 7 minutes! Just remember, we should never wish for remakes because our games and movies (even music) get seriously screwed most of the time!
I wish we had the Quest for Glory series remade like the Monkey Island ones, but I don't think it's really possible, times change and they would surely fuck it up. (though they remade Quest for Glory 2 and I'm about to try it out)
Again, sorry for getting these hopes flying high. If there's any consolation I can share my real work with you since it's retro related:

1000th like here! Thanks for the playlist, first track got me right in the mood
Yes, so many yes.
I remember playing an old batman game i found in my system32 (either xp or 7) i can't truly remember since i only played it 2-4am and i lost it once i had to re-install my windows
It was hard for me too, there were so many inputs to use i got lost often, but the graphics were beautiful at the time...
Even the code for this video is SeXy and 0k :) Thank you for mix and upload
Fantastic selection!
19:00 someone please explain to me in what world is this relaxing
I kinda feel the same way about 24:31
Lol, it’s the nostalgia alone that reminds me of childhood and makes it kinda relaxing TBH
@@DOSStorm makes me anxious lol
I guess I'm strange but I find it very relaxing.
First one is pretty relaxing for me, the second is kinda anxious indeed :)
Thanks for this mix, it's awesome. Don't know many of these games, but they sound cool.
How the hell does "Super Acid Block Attack" slap so hard O.o
cool collection
My opinion of this video is the same as the first 4 characters of its video ID: "SeXy" !
Super son j’adore
I could have been one of the first youtubers to review MS-DOS games in 2007. I missed that chance, but it's OK. I can still review them online.
Hi! thanks for the upload! It is a pleasure to listen. How did you record the songs? is this direct take from old PC? It does sound like sound blaster. Which sound card/midi module do you use? Is this get through an emulator? Which one? Thank you!
yes
Does anyone know where the Dreamweb song at the end of this video is from? It's some kind of remix or cover of a few different songs on the soundtrack with some added voice lines, and I can't find it anywhere. I really like it.
I found it!! It's called "Back to Sleep" from the remastered Dreamweb OST, Side B.
bonus round: Alpha Waves 1990
21:16 very epic Sega Lion King one of the best soo nice memories and some tears will be for that Sega Genies soo much better music than Snes and epic emotions ost;) thnxs this is dos version but good too.
I know how you feel. The Lion King on Sega Genesis was one of the games my mother would play with me when she got home from work, along with the first Donkey Kong country on SNES. The music brings back really fond memories.
Wonder if the composer of the original Tomb Raider music was inspired by the Indiana Jones track ? 25:29
The first one has similarities with soundtrack of "the island" movie
I need a little help. There's a PC game I played in the 90's but I can't remember the name. The police intro music appears to be a modified version of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. Does anyone out there remember this game?
Maybe police quest?
@@user-is1rr6vx5c I'll check it out thanks
What is the Name of the Fate Of Atlantis song ? thx
Iceland.
@@sunjaebassman ok
36:10 What midi device is used?
This track (Thunder Winds) is CD audio.
14K
Lol. Ultima Online had the same song as Thors hammer: ruclips.net/video/6VzJyRmY2hQ/видео.html. This is interesting. Is it intentional? I was wondering whether they have the same composers working on them but it seems that was not the case.
Dude, I heard it too. I was playing a game with this video minimized in the background, and when Thor's Hammer came on I said to myself "Oh, I see Ultima made the list, I recognize this" then when I tabbed out and saw it was some other game, I went hunting for Ultima Online soundtracks and listened to them until I found the Forest theme. Five minutes later I scroll down through the comments and see that you had the same observation.
This nice to listen to while messing around with AI art generators.
