Hello, I want ask. Who is better, flat fingers or curl finger in backside of penhold grip? For forehand stroke better? I see your video and I don't know who is the best variations grip:v
Personally, I found that flat fingers support a more stable forehand, and curled fingers support a more flexible backhand. However, given that there have been top players with either, it should come down to personal preference, so experiment around and find something you’re comfortable with. :)
so, i tested recently. I used 3 flat fingers (like xu xin) for some weeks. give more stability for forehand and no much wrist. this is good for chinese style forehand (non much forearm and wrist flexion) but my backhand not so good because the lack of wrist and mobility. I use now 3 curled fingers like Dang Qiu. So much flexibility on racket. and now is like my backhand is "unlocked". i can generate more power. in shorter strokes and euro style loop (forearm and wrist flexion and small movement) i can generate so much power because of the flex and more "relaxed" wrist. so, basicaly: flat fingers - more stability on your forehand and advantage on big movements and stability. curled - loose of some stability on forehand but backhand much improvement. advantage on more forearm and wrist use. in the end, is more personal, but i said a few personal experience tips :-)
Please help me i am new to the table tennis scene but skill wise about intermediate as i can loop push etc i play rpb and am mostly offensive im so lost when choosing a new blade and rubbers cuz there is sooo many any recommendations for a good racket arohns 150$
I’d advise you ask a coach instead, if you have one. People’s definitions of “beginner,” “intermediate,” and “advanced” vary greatly, so I don’t want to recommend something too slow or too fast for you. If what you have right now works fine, you don’t need to switch anything.
👏
Hey Andy I have no idea where you have been for years now please return with more videos or at least contact me
What rubbers do you use?

You need to find out yourself. The best grip is the one you like.
