@@NewWarOrder I am following the drywall series too. I am currently at the sanding stage. One tip I will give you is to make sure you don't have any thick ridges cuz they are a pain to sand. A thin ridge is okay but try to feather out all your edges especially inside corners

The best how to video on drywall and painting that I've seen...I've watched several different presentations on how to do this but this is by far a superior approach to doing this for the DIY homeowner who seeks a higher quality result. Jeff has a talent for showing the average DIYer how to approach a daunting project and break it down into easy simple steps !!! Thanks and Keep Up the Great Work !

Hey this video series is awesome for two primary reasons. First, you obviously know what you are doing and you have a gift at communicating the content. Second, you have a solid video team that gets it right and makes sure we see and hear what you’re explaining. I’ve being producing instructional and promotional video programming for major international corporations for 37 years and this series was a breath of fresh air compared with so much of the stuff I see on RUclips... The best you tube videos I’ve seen for Sheetrock installation, taping and applying drywall compound properly. He also provided some good tips for painting as well. The camera work is exceptional and he dumbs everything down so it is very easy to understand and replicate. I just finished a difficult drywall installation where I demolished the old tile walls in the bathroom but just needed to replace the lower half of the wall Sheetrock and didn’t have to touch the upper 4 feet of the wall. After demolishing the lower wall, I had gouges and brown ripped paper showing all along the seam of the wall on the bottom edge of the upper half so it looked very rough. Of course this involved taping old Sheetrock and new Sheetrock together as well as merging the upper coroners and lower corners together. These videos helped me tremendously and the job turned out perfect. My wife couldn’t believe the transformation. I took my time because during this quarantine there was no reason to rush with this job and it it our third bathroom.

Wow! So I had a little drywall project and although I have installed Sheetrock many times, I decided to check out some RUclips stuff just to see if I might learn some hints or tricks. Man, did I hit a home-run in finding your channel! I must have watched at least 10 videos! The hint on using the sheet-rock T-Square to cut without first marking the material was invaluable! I must have used it 20 times already. Makes the work go so much faster. Also, I love all of the great suggestions. It is very obvious that you really know your trade. You are performing a huge service in sharing your wealth of information with the world. Thanks!

Great video, priming is super important. We recently had a job where a house was never primed. Paint was literally peeling of the walls. Ceiling (flat) paint can be substituted in a pinch but a good primer/sealer is best.

Just binge watched this series but will eventually watch all of your videos. I'm about to take on my first DIY drywall project in a guest bathroom and you gave me more confidence in the drywall part. You're a good teacher and appear comfortable in front of the camera so you're easy to watch. I don't suppose you'll have a series on installing a wall hung toilet with in-wall cistern in the next couple of weeks? I'm not entirely comfortable moving the sewer from the floor back into the wall. Thanks for you the great videos!

I've really enjoy all of your videos. They are extremely helpful and all of your little tips and tricks make them my favourite on any subject you've covered so far. Keep up the fantastic work!
Some topics I would love to see:
    - outdoor bar/kitchen/built in BBQ
    - pergolas/structures
    - custom closets/built ins
    - stone/brick patios and veneers
    - garage/shop/tool organization and maintenance
    - electric /gas fireplace installation
I have no idea if you even do some of the above but if you do they would make great videos!
Also maybe a few comparison videos specifically detailing different routes people take with projects and what you have seen in terms of longevity and routine problems that may arise: laminate/vinyl/hardwood; solid wood, painted kitchens; mdf vs wood trim; laminate/vinyl, ceramic, porcelain tiles; I think most do it yourselfers don't mind doing the work if it means they can buy better materials because of the savings but sometimes it's hard to tell if some materials are worth the extra money.
    Thanks again!

Great series! I don't subscribe to many channels but your channel is a must for anyone interested in learning more about remodeling and construction. I thought I knew how to drywall and paint but was always frustrated and never got the results I hoped for. I'll admit I'm impatient and never seem to have enough time to do the job properly. I'm lucky if I get 2 coats of mud on the wall before I say "good enough!" I know you are suppose to prime and paint 2 coats but I usually get paint with primer and try to finish it in one coat. I'm doing a another small project now and after viewing these videos I feel a lot more confident about doing the work. My only suggestion would be to include more information about the products you use. Thanks for the help!

I learned to work with someone like you, who liked things well done, with time, patience and common sense. I became like him after few years. The third layer of plaster is really needed, almost without sanding. Most professionals are in a hurry to apply only two coats, but then they spend a lot of time with the electric sander. Good tip on the metal corner bead nelow the 90 degrees. Keep up the good work.

The videos did help me complete a basement bathroom....it was slow going but I got it done and thank you for the many suggestions. I now have a lot more respect and admiration for drywall craftsmen who make it look so easy while going so fast..

In our recent large paint job of our house I found a 5 gal bucket with the paint and a mesh screen worked amazingly well. I hate those paint trays! Just wash the screen and cover the bucket for the next day. Super easy.

Thank so much. I'm so excited to get started on my first drywall project. I feel so confident after watching your videos. I am doing a small gutted closet and I have most of the tools I need to get started, but I'm making a list from all your videos. The one problem I am currently having is getting the drywall delivered. The home stores want to charge so much and I don't have a pickup :(. No worries. I wont let delivery issues get me down. Love to show you my finished product. #Subscribed

Jeff, thank you for this series on drywall installation. watching them really help me get started on our master bathroom renovation. I haven't done much with drywall for about 20 years and wasn't that good at it then. Your videos helped me overcome fears though you make it look a lot easier than it is for me. Thanks, Jay

Jeff, yes the list of tools and materials was where I started of course. Using the hawk for mud and attempting to get the appropriate consistency. I also was familiar with the hardening type compound and found that of course the 90 would give me more time to work than the 45 thus less material to throw out when it starts to set. Your instructive and entertaining videos regularly help me delay getting back to the project as I attempt to absorb the details. :^) Thanks, Jay

These are the best tutorial videos I have come across. Filled with such useful time-saving knowledge. Really appreciate you sharing your expertise for free when you can be charging a lot for it. We had some category 3 water damage in our bathrooms and a company is coming in to do the cleanup and sanitizing. They are going to cut the drywall 2 or 3 feet from the ground all along the walls that got wet as part of the cleanup and removal process. We would like to take on putting back the missing drywall ourselves instead of paying a contractor. I believe I can do it after watching your videos, but needed to make sure there is nothing different that needs to be done when you are joining new unfinished drywall to one that is already primed textured and painted. Any info you can share on this would be helpful. Thank you

Hey Jeff, I recently discovered your channel while working on redoing my basement. They have been incredibly helpful! My dad built houses and instilled in me a strong sense of doing a job right. Your videos appeal nicely to that trait.
However, summer is quickly coming to an end and the weird demands of our current world mean that as a teacher, I am going to have even less time than usual during the school year. Considering the time factor, would it be worthwhile to rent a paint sprayer at least for the primer portion of paint?

Let me tell you about this guy and his videos, I had a leak from my upstairs bathroom that caused some drywall damage in my mud room, real nasty stuff a little bit of mold. Tore out the old dry wall and other parts that needed to go. Watching the video series on drywall from this channel It looks like I had a professional come out and do the work and I saved I don't know a few hundred bucks, not to mention the work was fun too. I wish I had a place I could upload the pictures because I would, Big thank you to this guy and his team Subbed for sure!
