      Like a regular quilt! I no longer have this particular quilt, but the back looked just like regular quilting.

    I am having a blast with you! Learning how to experiment with this technique is so much fun! I am feeling your joy! As a Newbie to LMQ your visual and narrative explanation of your thought process is so helpful. I have learned the most about piecing, and quilting in general, from you. You have the best attitude, and are so open about the learning process.

    Your method of explaining what you’re thinking and planning & doing is very helpful. Not only do I learn at that moment but it provides me with a resource of applying any of those elements to other situations. I love how you embrace successes as well as happenstance situations. You don’t just talk the talk but walk the walk! It’s rare to watch your videos and see you you stop filming when something doesn’t go “perfectly” but rather take it in stride & instead be a “perfect” role model on how not to beat yourself up & better yet how to calmly address it. Thank you for being authentic and helping others not to get stressed but instead enjoy the process or better yet to go where you might be apprehensive because it’ll still be of value❣️

      Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed this video. Yes, life is too short and this hobby is too much fun to beat yourself up when things don't go right. Just enjoy the process!

    Beautiful! Can you provide an update to show how it holds up in the wash?

    • @LeahDay
      @LeahDay  6 лет назад

      Definitely! It's still on the frame right now, but as soon as it's off I plan to put it on my table as a tablecloth and wash it weekly.

    Now that it’s been 2 years how did the yarn wear?

    • @LeahDay
      @LeahDay  3 года назад +1

      It did pill as I washed it. I'm not sure if there's a way around that tendency of most yarn. It ended up being to "loud" of a quilt for our table most of the time. I might pull it out for Valentine's Day and then it goes back in the closet. I do think the yarn will work for an art quilt or wall hanging that does not need to be washed.

    Hi Leah, I am getting a Q'nique tomorrow. I had been using a Juki on my SR2 frame & was using Glide bobbins that are magnetic . I am just wondering if it is safe to use them with the Q'nique?

    • @LeahDay

      Great question Pat! I honestly don't know so I would contact Grace Company just to be sure

    This is pretty neat! I have never thought of.. or seen yarn quilting before! So neat!!!!!! I love the stippling. Omg so cute! I always try to finish my quilts as fast as possible. I hate the actual quilting part. It's good to slow down! Great video!!!
    P.s.... And the simple act of the bend needle as a hook! Wow such a duh! Moment! Something I always just toss! Smart!
