As far as I can hear, Rode sounds very cool at all frequencies (low, mid, high). And Zoom records only high frequencies, which makes the sound recording feel crystal clear. Probably, it is better to record the voice of women, children, water and birds on Zoom. It is better to record a man’s voice and musical instruments using a Rode microphone.. I hope audiophiles will comment on my assumptions.

The Rode sounded much better outdoors but Zoom wins out on the cost and convenience factor just needs a bit of EQ in post.
