Yeah, I think the Ninja 400 is a great beginner bike! It's lightweight, easy to handle, and has enough power to get you down the interstate. As a new rider I definitely recommend a set of frame sliders, not so much for yourself but dropping your bike is inevitable, even if you're not on it. Invest in your safety gear. Ive taken the MSF course twice. 10 years apart. No DMV test required afterwards and its a pretty fun course.
