Random rambling and trip videos are good. I like listening to you, you express yourself well. I think it's great that you ride in control, and not concerned about the next bike you want to buy. Would like to meet you in person, probably will not happen. If there is a small stream or creek near you, maybe take a trip out on the bike and throw a fishing line in the stream. I love youtube, 100 times better than TV. Take care J-Rod!

Great trip! So 2023 was last year for the Ninja 400, due to introduction of Ninja 500? Both are nice looking bikes.
I see on the Idaho map there is a town south of Sun Valley called Gimlet. Why not go there and have a vodka gimlet, if so inclined. Also note a small town in SW Idaho called Dickshooter. Wonder how the town got that name?
This has been a good journey for you. There are what, about 7 billion people on earth? I'd say 1 billion people would like to take this trip. Plus record it and save for posterity. We have it pretty good here. It will not happen, would be cool to meet you and do this again. I'd have a sore tail bone riding my MT09!
Will go back and watch all of these. Happy for you making it up Pike's Peak. Can you do a wrap up vid after you've run your adventure through your head? Tell us what plans you had if needing a tow (AAA?), chain lube during the ride, did you park bike in hotel room at night or use an alarm? Carry extra gas? Flat repair kit and what brand? That 400 is quite capable! All the best.

Great video, looking forward to seeing all of this. If you can, put the camera up just a bit for a more forward view. I like your laugh, escaping the 'tater! Edit, on the interstate portion the camera angle is great. I do like this content.
I’ve been working on the camera angle for a little bit, thanks for the suggestion. It’s just the way I sit on the bike I think because it looks good on the other bike that I have but I get what you mean. I believe the next video will be out on Thursday. Let’s make #EscapeTheTater trend 😅

Never heard of Casey's, must not have been in MN when I grew up there. Riding from MN to ID on that 650 would be challenging and fun.
The real challenge is a 2007 Ninja 250
Interesting story, and not sure how this popped up in the YT suggestions. I grew up in MN, left long ago. I am an old guy, presently ride Yamaha MT09SP. Wherever you are located in ID, looks like a unique town.
All of my videos so far are located in southern Idaho, definitely recommend seeing it if you haven't already

Yeah, I think the Ninja 400 is a great beginner bike! It's lightweight, easy to handle, and has enough power to get you down the interstate. As a new rider I definitely recommend a set of frame sliders, not so much for yourself but dropping your bike is inevitable, even if you're not on it. Invest in your safety gear. Have fun and stay safe!
Ive taken the MSF course twice. 10 years apart. No DMV test required afterwards and its a pretty fun course.
