As soon as tomatoes start to change colors you can pick them and they will ripen on a window seal inside.
I picked a bunch of them! Have pickles green tomatoes in the fridge. SO good!

The fluffs are pretty great about the garden (unless squirrels are involved!) but the chickens are little monsters!
You can overwinter your peppers inside ,and plant them backin your garden in the spring or summer
