About the repair system: get pistol repair kit > right click any SMG > maintain parts > replace part > brand new gun usable day 1. Same once you have advanced kit with rifles, etc. But in the meantime you get advanced kit you can just use autoloot to automatically get the good parts out of guns, and once you have a green barrel gun, just replace all the parts, get a gun cleaning kit > right click gun > maintain parts > clean parts, and voila. The system isn’t as complex as people tend to make it. It’s down to skill issue mostly, and the PDA has a full guide explaining the gun and armor repair system.
@@M18Hellcat I think the confusion comes from the handgun repair kit and the handgun cleaning kit getting mixed up, I didn't know the cleaning kit could be used to maintain parts until last month lol
@@arenomusic tbh theres probably a way to make the repair system a bit more beginner friendly and complex at the same time. The problem is, who in hell is good enough at game design that they can make a mod like that...

I like the weapon repair system. Sure it doesn't make sense that enemy guns are always in shit condition, but it makes you feel like you're scavenging the zone to get your gear. Also many enemies do drop functional weapons. They might jam sometimes but that's part of the fun!
you can also tweak the drop values, I normally put everything up to at least 25-30% on low level stalkers, mid level stalkers I would put their guns between 60-70% and the two last ranks always 80% and above. I don't change the suit values tho, only for the last 3 ranks I would put that they drop 50% and up. Weapon part tweaking is a little more granular so I don't end up breaking the overall progression system. But it makes more sense than everyone carries and actuall functional gun instead of something held together by hopes and dreams. It's part of why I like Gamma, it has enough bells and whistles to customize the experience to anyone's particular liking.
Worth noting, an update came out the day after this video went up. Reloading animations now match up properly and much more. Once you learn how to repair your weapons and gear it’s extremely addicting. Also vodka gets rid of small amounts of built radiation. I can’t stop playing!! Tarkov had gotten sooooo stale lately.

Welcome to The Zone, Stalker. A friendly greeting from Freedom. The game gets more fun and stuff over time. It ages darn good. Once you get your bearings on how everything works, you spend less and less time wondering things like "what should I do?" or "how do I do this?" and more time actually playing and enjoying the game and things that seem super complicated like the repair system and all that become very manageable once you remember all the items, how they work and how effective they can be. For example knowing *this* armor repair glue only repairs up to 90%, and your suit is at 84%. So you need the second tier glue which can repair down to 80%. You just start remembering those small details and once you do you spend less time trying to figure things out and more time knowing your next goal and what you need to do and where to do it. Its alot to just jump in to, but it really isnt all that much to get used to once you sit with it for awhile and get used to things. And then there is the whole other side of the game which is modding. Knowing what mods do what, disabling ones you dont want, making your own tweaks and the like. But glad to see someone is (I think? lol) enjoying the game. Although Gamma is but one of MANY modpacks among the communities. And each modpack tends to have its own special unique things, with unique upsides and downsides to them. Once you get familiar with one modpack, its much easier getting into the groove of others, since they all just work off the trilogy in some capacity typically. Hope your havin fun though! 😉👍

Weapon durability is a average durability of it's parts. But weapon durability is not same as condition of its parts. So when you exchange parts of a weapon on workbench, if weapon condition is higher than average of the parts gun looses durability, if not opposite happens
you can have a perfectly clean weapon made up of broken parts tho They're linked in some way, but the "weapon durability" is independent of the item durability. Weapon "durability" is the representation for weapon cleanliness, not the gun's ability to function. Cleaning, repairing, and installing individual parts parts in better condition will obviously make the gun overall cleaner. Or, you can ignore the parts degredation and just cover the thing in solvent and then oil and call it a day.
The "overall durability" is how clean the weapon is. You can have a filthy weapon with pristine parts and it will function but the parts will wear out faster. You can have a squeaky clean gun with broken parts and it will do next to no damage and jam all the time.
GAMMA is practically perfect when you rise the bullet damage you do to 1.2 (20%). To compensate that handicap I raise the ZCP menu option to increase the size most squads have (including mutants) by 20%, wich is enough to make most groups of 4 to 5 instead of 3 to 4.
Tweaking the part condition weight in WPO settings really helps imo. I love the crafting/progression, but repairable part drop rates are way too low imo.
@@MikeJensen-w2v There are instructions for what to disable in the Discord for specific features. I disabled the increased phantom psi damage, NPC loot claiming, and the weird sleep restrictions. YACS can be disabled from MCM so no need to uncheck that one. I believe most of the disabled by default mods are like that because they have issues, so I'd check the Discord before trying them.
It can be a huge grind until you start getting tools. Do missions for stash locations, green stashes always have some form of tool kit. Use tool kits to craft whatever weapon or armor repair kit you need, which can replace parts you don't already own including barrels. You can scavenge parts of similar guns (most 5.56 gun parts fit most 5.56 guns, 7.62 fit 7.62, 12 GA fit 12 GA, etc). It makes it much more rewarding to get a decent weapon and honestly I'm usually rocking a fully repaired 12 Gauge pump action by the end of my 2nd or 3rd day in game, which makes dealing with mutants much easier.

Welp- yeah It will be couple in game weeks till you assemble a fully working automatic gun and usually it won't be what you want- it will be what you have
Sure it makes you suffer, but that makes the rewards you reap from all that suffering feel even better, there is nothing like the feeling of repairing your 1st gun in this game after 5 hours of scavanging as a noob
Fun fact that i'm gonna drop in here without ever watching the video because I,m an extremely lazy bum: In the MO, where you can manage all the mods in gamma, there is a mod you can enable called Black Market. With the Black Market, traders will sell pristine condition armor and weapons like in vanilla anomaly. Pretty much any mod in the MO can be enabled EXCEPT the ones in the Gamma disabled section, they will crash your game instantly. Lots of super cool things that are disabled by default
None or this is a problem when you turn off gamma economy, you can buy fresh guns and armor from most vendors, then the progression is more waiting on toolkits to repair the cooler guns you can't buy from the vendors. Problem with this is that when you're able to buy guns and armor your survivabilty escalates very rapidly and takes a bit of the fun out, then again not being able to buy guns or armor from a vendor is really stupid considering thats a major part of the economy in the mainline games. Up to you how you play

I couldn’t wait for stalker 2, so I started gamma and boy has it taken me from everything else. As for the broken guns. Setting the durability to 60-80 keeps the game difficult but less like a dumpster dive simulator. No one wants to find an unusable SVD and never see the parts for it for the rest of the playthrough. Besides that, this is a masochist’s paradise.
Id also suggest turning player protectuon to average and bullet hit factor to 1.5 as this makes it so you hit as hard as the enemies most of the time. Also you have a quicksave option (shift + F5) but its on a collown so you cant spam it
Then again, NPC Stalkers don't have the luxury of knowledge of maintaining their own guns and being hyper active loot goblin for spare parts like a John Stalker does.
I like Gamma but I normally tweat the drop values and such to something more realistic. The "lore" bullshit about the UN banning weapons in the zone it's sadly, extremely fucking stupid as the UN has no real power to do that, and it makes no sense for everyone to be strapped if no one sells guns. Same with the gun condition, even the most lowly bandit would try to keep his gear in top form. So looting a gun that is almost coming apart is again stupid from a realism standpoint. I get the gameplay reasons but for realism sake I tweak it. It also makes it less of a grind but that's just me, overall it's pretty much my favorite big pack for anomaly.
Set the drop item condition in reverse so that lower level enemies rookie stalker level got low durability as they don't know how to maintain and use there equipment and the higher the stalker level the higher the dur. Of equipment that shows that they know how to maintain also more rewarding drop from killing experienced stalkers
i agree farming weapon parts for hours is just not fun i think anomaly vanilla was my favorite playtrough in terms of progression flow. once you start tweaking mods and options to get the game to be what you want it to be it takes away from the experience like using cheats.
Thing is you can tune just about everything with a bit of knowhow including weapon drop condition. It's all there in the mod config options but yeah, you're going to have had to have played for a while to know what should be tweaked and what shouldn't. I agree that the enemy weapon drop condition is nonsensical. It's just a forced condition so you engage with the crafting and progression curve that GAMMA sets up. Still, it's much more preferable to just being able to buy all the gear after about 3 days in the Zone. Explains why all the other Stalkers aren't just doing the same lol and are kitted out to the eyeballs. As is, GAMMA is one of the most hardcore and immersive games ever seen and that A-Life AI system man! It ranges from comically stupid to absolute genius.
I always play anomaly with bullet hit factor at max and player protection at poor so i can one tap and get one tapped, in cqb it can make it way more difficult
2:35 Isn't that an optional mode? Did they make it obligatory?! 8:47 AN =/= AR. "AR" only means "assault rifle" if we're talking Galils or Bulgarian AKs (AR-F, etc.). Otherwise, it stands for "Armalite."

Campfire saves, very low drop conditions, loot claim from npcs are also the things I changed to make it more fun for me.
@@eli3963I don’t know, I can always find a good barrel rifle within the first 2 in game days. Just gotta kill and loot lots of people that’s it.
Dude, your channel is amazing! I thought u had like 100k subs because of the quality. Keep it up! +1sub
Legends have it he has yet to find the Package
Really like your videos! Keep it up man^^
It can be a huge grind until you start getting tools.
My runs last for like 2h to 3hrs and then im super broke and fucked up impossible to climb out of my poverty and then i abandon my stalker and makea new one. This video is so relatable 😂
Basically the Slavic version of playing the sims lol
You can change the barrel. Thats why you can buy them.
GAMMA is just Stalker Anomaly but with a strap-on. Truly the most accurate O-Block simulator on the market. Amazing content, keep it up.
O-block is where degenerates go to die. GAMMA is a Russian hobo simulator where the dude who made the mod pack spits in your face and tells you to get good.
@@amLando they cant seem to grasp the idea that some people doesnt want to deal with that tedious unrealistic dogshit, oh yes we can smuggle ammo weapon parts and ungodly alien objects that can fuck up the world but we cant get guns

My first time playing Gamma:
-Spawn in at village
-Threaten a lady
-Get stabbed & shot by said lady
-Fire 3 shells from a Sawn Off TOZ-34 at point blank to the lady
-Lady retreats into building
-Follow her into said building
-Shoot her 2 more times at point blank
-Get shot and die
10/10 would play again.
maybe buckshot cant penetrate armour
@@staskozak8118 then i reload my save and kill her with two shots
it is not a bug, it is an anomaly
As one who enjoys Gamma, I enjoyed this video.
Welp- yeah
It will be couple in game weeks till you assemble a fully working automatic gun and usually it won't be what you want- it will be what you have
man just stumbled upon this video and insta subbed. Great work man, got a few chuckles out of me
dude idk how you have just a little over 1k subs this is some good fucking content
From a lindo to a lando, Good job.
made me exhale more than normal multiple times
never knew you could change the durability in the settings holy shit thanks
Sure it makes you suffer, but that makes the rewards you reap from all that suffering feel even better, there is nothing like the feeling of repairing your 1st gun in this game after 5 hours of scavanging as a noob
you can tear of the patches of the armor
I do the exact same thing with the drop condition glad someone else shares the same thoughts lol great vid man
i think it can be good for new players but for second playthrough better use default settings
this is way to good for 820 subs, and I love it
also 4:46 the best condition gear ive ever seen in my entire life
Fun fact that i'm gonna drop in here without ever watching the video because I,m an extremely lazy bum: In the MO, where you can manage all the mods in gamma, there is a mod you can enable called Black Market.
6 months late, but I give this review: funny af/10
I'm generally bad a shooters (low reaction time, poor positioning etc) but I love the immersive world, sandbox, trading and all that. So I just scrolled "enemy accuracy" and "bullet spread" sliders in my favor. Also installed "bullet time" mod (disabled its annoying sound effect tho). Now my GAMMA gameplay is relatively casual in terms of action as I have my own VATS and enemies always miss first two-three shots.
Love this!!! Great video!
Why do all these youtubers sound like one another.
They are trying to be Ssetchzeentach. Even down to the editing and voice inflections.
Its cuz they watch too much SsethTzeentach.
You guys think Sseth invented this style? Lol
@@brucelee42069 Well yeah, Sseth has a certain way of delivery that gets imitated, and thats why people immediately recognize it.
Dude this is a huge banger
great video sseth
The speed joke style of humor in this video is pretty good lmao Its probably what it feels like to get whacked by a carnival clowns big squeaky hammer
I highly recommend you to play and review the original trilogy
It's not as bad as it's portrayed here. But it does take a lot of learning and patience to progress.
No. It's defintely just as bad if not worse than what's portrayed here.

A lot of work was put into this video, and not boring either. Sub
I have like 200 hours in this game, yet watching others suffering is still just as entertaining
"Those new zelda games have trash weapon systems"
Gamma
"Hold my vodka"
Amazing advice on how to tweak the mod. Thank you kindly.
" i mean sure its a gun... but"
avenger: "braarrarararraraaapppppp"
Id also suggest turning player protectuon to average and bullet hit factor to 1.5 as this makes it so you hit as hard as the enemies most of the time.
Also you have a quicksave option (shift + F5) but its on a collown so you cant spam it
This feels like I'm watching a B grade Seth video..
Game is just not for you, I find the repair system very fun and rewarding. Good video tho :)
Only thing to add is Anomaly/Gamma are in no way even close in gameplay to OG trilogy
I thought i was watching mitten squad for a second i..eh
Set the drop item condition in reverse so that lower level enemies rookie stalker level got low durability as they don't know how to maintain and use there equipment and the higher the stalker level the higher the dur. Of equipment that shows that they know how to maintain also more rewarding drop from killing experienced stalkers
I like it man, subscribed
i agree farming weapon parts for hours is just not fun i think anomaly vanilla was my favorite playtrough in terms of progression flow. once you start tweaking mods and options to get the game to be what you want it to be it takes away from the experience like using cheats.
tbh after 1.5k hours I got too used to it, easy 8 days survived without death on hardest diff, even guns feel like easy choir now
mate you got 62.5 days worth of gameplay out of this free mod, is there really anything to complain about?
nah, it's still fun asf :)@@albertkotze8974
Great Video man!!! you got my sub!!
Turns out your actions having consequences actually makes your actions compelling 🤷♂
You got my sub brother great video
5 first minutes the true feeling of playing Gamma.
The second part just rolling on the floor laughing like an idiot 😂😂😂
Oh yea, man! These RF reciever quests suck)))
I always play anomaly with bullet hit factor at max and player protection at poor so i can one tap and get one tapped, in cqb it can make it way more difficult
Thank you for the tip on the drop rate. I mean it just doesnt make sense that everyone drops broken guns, how are they using them then?
STALKER:Masochism
Top video ever!!!
2:35 Isn't that an optional mode? Did they make it obligatory?!
8:47 AN =/= AR. "AR" only means "assault rifle" if we're talking Galils or Bulgarian AKs (AR-F, etc.). Otherwise, it stands for "Armalite."
You can have a repaired AK within the first couple of hours If you ou know how the system works tbh
